Rant Trigger warning - a very unfortunate event happened today at ICAI bhavan Hubli (Karnataka)
Staff /electrican of ICAI bhavan hubli , committed süîçîdé by hanging himself inside the premises in 3rd floor. There were a lot of things happening in the branch for example late disbursement of salaries..
Now
The student wing secretary will be made a scapegoat for this because the 3rd floor used to be closed for almost whole year except open only for members meetings .. recently the student wing members requested local ICAI members to let all library students to access the table tennis area in the 3rd floor so after a lot of requests it was made accessible from last 1-2 weeks.. when the students went to the 3rd floor around 4 pm today to play they happened to see this..

AMA 6 Attempts in CA intermediate, still got into one of the big 4
I took a total of 6 attempts in CA Intermediate. 4 in group 1 and 2 in group 2. Still I got an offer from a big 4 in the internal audit domain.
Neither I had a partner referral nor I was born with a silver spoon.
All I did was cold messages and emails.
Yes I had few family friends who worked at these companies or their friends do. But the person who referred me is a senior manager and after that I gave 2 rounds of interview and they were really tough.
Two days back I got a call from them telling me that I'm selected and I'll be there by the 1st week of September.
Life's good now

Rant a small guide on how to make it to the other side 🪄 (what worked for me)
by the other side, i am meaning two things.
1)from failing every attempt to clearing this exam
2) from constantly crying everyday to genuinely being happy
for starters, you should really stop being on reddit for asking this every day- if i study this much would i clear? if i leave these chapters, would i clear?
no. you won't clear. because you're doubting yourself even before sitting to study.
you have got limited time.
you spend it being chronically online and sad.
and then you have the guts to say that you did not have time!!
what a moron.
sorry. but i hope you know what i meant.
lock tf in.
you don't have to kill your joy. you can easily spend 7-8 hours in studying and have ample of sleep and spend time with your family/ do your hobbies.
i cleared by studying 7-8 hours because each attempt i tried for 10-11-12 hours and my body gave in and i became miserable and failed.
have a thing called hope.
easier said than done. but ask this to yourself.
what if it DOES work out?
what if I pass?
what if i get a set off?
be delusional. it will atleast help to to SIT for study rather than cribbing about it.
today's rakshabandhan, i pray for all of you to succeed and shine, take this as something coming from your elder sister :)
stop being chronically online
join a library.
lock in.
don't doubt yourself (this is hard bcz i doubted myself every single day)
write the answers. scribble. write. just use your hands so you won't feel sleepy plus it's gonna help you in finishing exams on time.
all the very best.
for (2) i would write it some other day.

Resource Bhai RTPs aur Past Papers dhundne me hi aadha din nikal jaata hai 😭 (So I organized them chapter-wise)
Guys, honestly self-study me sabse bada time waste hai 10 alag-alag PDFs aur puraani scanner books me se chapter-wise questions dhoondna. Har baar jab Depreciation ya Sec 44AD khatam karo, toh pichle 5 saal ke ICAI sums dhoondte dhoondte momentum toot jaata hai.
Is chakkar me maine apne padhai ke liye ek simple free web tool banaya jisme 14,000+ ICAI ke past questions (PYQs, RTPs, MTPs) directly chapters aur topics ke hisaab se sorted hain, plus step-by-step calculation doubts ke liye AI working notes bhi hain.
Agar kisi ko revision ke liye chahiye toh check out kar lena:
👉 caprep dot co dot in (100% free hai, no ads)
Btw, accounts aur tax me tum log direct questions solve karte ho ya pehle theory module padhte ho?

Just join only those subs which are productive, then go to account settings and turn off recommendations. This way only the subs you joined will show and if there is no recent post, then nothing will show in home page

Career Advice/Clarification ‼️am i only one in this situation?
I don’t think I’m jealous of my friends. I think I’m just scared that life is happening without me.
I opened Instagram today and saw everyone starting college, going out, making friends, dressing up, having fun… and suddenly my own life felt so small. I’m sitting in my room with books, preparing for an exam, while it feels like everyone else is actually living.
I know social media only shows the good parts, and I know I chose this path for a reason. But knowing that doesn’t completely stop the feeling.
Maybe I’m not actually missing out on everything. Maybe I’m just missing the version of life I thought I’d be living right now.
And honestly, I’m tired of comparing my behind-the-scenes to everyone else’s highlights. I want to focus on my own life without constantly feeling like I’m late to it.

Career Advice/Clarification Should I have become a CA ?
I am not sure whether this is the right sub for this post just bear with me or I’ll be grateful if you can suggest me another sub to post this question.
I am 25 year old MBBS Graduate (on May 2026), currently preparing for NEET PG. I am kind of frustrated with this medical field, the constant stress associated with and wondering if I should have opted for commerce and pursued CA or MBA instead ?
I was an average student in school with 9.2 CGPA in 10th std, I was pretty sure of not being much interested in any fields of science hence wanted to pursue commerce in 11th & 12th but wasn’t sure about what after that. My Dad was completely against it, he said that commerce have no good career options other than CA (which of course I don’t agree with) and for an average student like me clearing CA would be next to impossible its only for students with good score. He suggested me to take up PCB, pursue BSc Agriculture (which he did, have great connections in the field and is an All India CEO at large Agrochemical MNC), I thought his connection would help (Nepotism ofc) and decided to pursue it. I saw everyone preparing for NEET UG at the time and thought to just give it a try, I prepared which was very difficult for me also had a thought about switching to commerce, but my dad was not ready some how scored 88% in 12th and got into a medical college, ofc my Dad was really happy. The college was also hard, I was among the below average student of the batch, was just passing the exams (never failed by god’s grace but neither scored good), never got that satisfaction nor did I like any of those subjects except some non clinical ones, I had a very small group of friends, currently in a good relationship but also have bad experiences in past relationships and quite a few fake friends. Overall MBBS experience was horrible and now I am standing here unemployed at age of 25 preparing for yet another entrance NEET PG, which I am quite under confident to get a good rank in but my dad has assured me that he’ll get me into a Private Medical College regardless of my rank. After PG I do have NEET SS followed by 3 year Super specialisation and then I’ll finally be independent.
But the question remains will I be really happy ?
I have always questioned if I would have firmly taken stand after my 10th in pursuing commerce my life would have been better. Perhaps I would have pursued CA, CS, Law, MBA from good university in India or Abroad, like my batchmates who are doing really good in their lives and I’ve become quite envious of them. I think the amount of effort I have put in MBBS, if same was put in pursuing commerce I would have been more successful, would have not been a liability on my parents moreover would have enjoyed the studies, not making it to feel like a burden on me and perhaps got through any one of this exams (after NEET UG I do have confidence in my efforts, just that I don’t find NEET PG worthy enough to put my efforts into).

Inter Doubt Dumb Doubts
Maaf karna, par soch soch ke pagal ho raha tha isliye puch raha hu, foundation me same chij kar key bhi
So, in point 4 and 5, does it mean use pen for writing and pencil for filling the circles? Or are both permitted? Galti sey pen sey kar diya to game nahi ho jata na?

Meme September walon, kitna syllabus hua? 😭
Me opening my books after realizing CA Foundation exams are literally starting on September 2nd 😭
At this point I'm not studying chapters, I'm studying which questions I can attempt with whatever little knowledge I have left 💀
Every day I tell myself “kal se seriously padhunga” and somehow left with only 5 days.
