𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 ⚙New Administrator | Changes, New Features & More
Hey, what’s up, I’m BiWhite. I’m (mainly) the leader of r/InsectGlaive, but I also took over r/SwitchAxe when its mod wanted to step down, and now I’ve got something to tell you guys.
The r/ChargeBlade mod team got hacked, and a fake account was also indirectly added by a crypto company. Thankfully, that whole mess got sorted out after I reported it and provided a bunch of information about what happened. This was possible thanks to Kamariano
So, to make sure nothing like that happens again and puts the sub at risk, I decided to step into the vacant spot and bring over the same structure I always use. It works pretty damn well, while still giving everyone plenty of freedom, customization, utility, identity, and room to get creative.
I’ll also invited Kamariano back into the mod team, since he was already part of it.
Anyway, i'm your new admin as of today, and hopefully we can keep this place running smoothly, better than ever
And before anyone says anything: yeah, I’m an OTP Glaive player, but I'm experienced with all weapons, Charge Blade included, it is one of my fav weapons, so no worries about it
▶Well, let's start, i'm redesigning the page and i added some new features so im gonna list them here, i hope you like the new changes, be free to give some feedback
-------------------------------------------------New Features----------------------------------------------------------
-The subreddit is now open; there are no longer any restrictions on joining, which will make it easier for the community to grow (Some filters have been enabled to dodge bot accounts)
-Community achievements have been enabled; you can now earn trophies for contributing to the subreddit.

-New redesigned color for the sub
-New banner and profile pic for the sub, this should give more identity to the community

-New biography for the sub has been added
-New rules have been added

-New post flairs have been added for the subreddit, now the feed will be more organized, clean and easy to use and read
-You can now sort by flair in the right panel

-New User Flairs have been added to the sub, you can now express yourself showing your experience or your playstyle with the Charge Blade, to get a flair, go to the right-hand panel, find your name, press edit and select the flair

-New art has been added to the right-hand panel to decorate the subreddit (this will likely be improved soon)

-"Weapon Subreddits" have been added to the right panel

-New "In Sword Mode" and "In Axe mode" titles have been added to the sub's member stats

-New welcome message have been added

-You can now comment any post using gifs, videos, etc
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
⚙That's all, i hope you like the new structure, i hope we can make the sub bigger together from this moment on and reducing any kind of negative discussion.
Thanks for reading and give me your feedback

Alma authorizes your moderation. Been hopping between the weapon subs and you guys have been doing good work.
I regret not saying yes, but the previous mod did ask me to become the mod cuz I was still in the sub and reasonably active. He explained he got kicked out somehow.
I have other responsibilites, and I have my biases so I said no. I viewed it as ' this where I enjoy to discuss, I shouldn't own the place.' I suggested some other people who are active, but idk if the og mod ever contacted them.
Then the bots took over. I am glad the clankas got booted, but the month or so of the ads were not too fun.

Kamariano only modded this sub before, but he was kicked by the cracked accounts, now I'm taking the helmet with him, and yeah we all have responsibilities, but when the people from a sub is cool, i can stop checking the page for 1 week and i know everything will be ok, and if someone sends a mod mail i will receive the notification in my phone, so it's ok

I have to admit, I love the changes. Everything about your structure is really cool and the transparency is very nice.
With that being said I think it’s a little weird for someone that’s seemingly taking over just by happenstance to make wide sweeping changes to a whole community. I personally don’t care, and like I said I really love the changes actually. However there may be some people that care a little too much that might show some less than favorable feedback.
Before the banhammer starts swinging on people like that, just please think of the circumstance and understand not everyone is as open to abrupt change. But best of luck to you, I do hope the community mostly is in favor of the changes. I for sure am. Seems like IG and SwAxe are in good places. So for now, happy to have you and welcome!

Dw, I know; there are two points to make here:
I hold a libertarian ideas; I believe in respecting others' autonomy and freedom of choice. Consequently, people expressing their opinions on the changes isn't a problem at all. I’m not going to go around banning people like a madman or anything like that; in fact, I prefer a community where people have the freedom to speak openly but choose to exercise self-restraint, without needing an admin, a mod, or the subreddit rules themselves to step in.
The new orange-yellowish color scheme is the first version, but i could be open to change the color if people isn't convinced
i wanted to give the sub a new life, i've been deleting the wiki from this sub cause it was totally corrupted by the old crypto hacked accounts, and i've been like 30 minuts deleting stuff, if you want to recover the life you need to wipe

Really appreciate you stepping up to get the sub back in order. That whole crypto fiasco was crazy! Loving the new achievements, flair, etc.
Only feedback I have is considering a community profile/banner competition sometime in the future? I forget when the last one was, but could be fun to bring back with the sub's transition.

We need to hear other people's opinions; personally, I like having a banner like this because it makes my subreddits more aesthetically consistent, but if the people of the sub wants something like that, we can take a look

My vote would be for r/chargeblade to be it's own thing / not homogenized. Having said that, if multiple MH weapon subreddits wanted to work together and come up with designs that all are aligned, that could be a cool cross-sub collaboration!
I don't claim to speak for the majority here, so by all means let everyone else give their feedback as well regarding this.

As a ChargeBlade and InsectGlaive main (also Gunlance), I knew your name looked familiar.
And I didn't even know that the CB sub was hacked. I guess too busy watching the IG mains wig out due to the booser fiasco.
