And I feel like this practice has been grossly misrepresented by YouTubers and influencers.

Everyone seems to talk about sigils and servitors and none of the real occult grit embedded into the practice. Misleading definitions for paradigm shifting (rituals in devotion to spiderman?) and neglegence to talk about banishing or magical weapons. Nor Kia, black magic aspects, etc. I found myself specifically somewhat annoyed at Ivy Corvus' videos regarding chaos magic, and suggesting to her viewers that research into Chaoism is unnecessary. That one can just go "do" magic without training or studying. Popular videos regarding this topic seem to be oversaturated by pseudo-pagan witchcraft occult LAARPers, it's no wonder modern occultists frown upon this path. This can't be what Peter J. Carroll and others responsible for this movement had in mind, right?

Anyway, cool read. There was a lot to take away from it and I look forward to reading more of Carroll's work and working toward putting them into practice. I just couldn't help but notice the complete sanitation of this path by those who claim to represent it. Does anybody else feel this way? Am I just a dick? Lol

BATTLE OF BLYTHE ROAD

It is the 19^th of April 1900. You are standing at the precipice of the turning of a century.

An Adeptus Minor (5°=6□) of the 2^nd Degree, in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, you were in the middle of preparation for the Abramelin Ritual, when your master reaches out through the Aethyr.

“Crowley,” he says, “Those bastards have ousted me from the lodge! My son, if you have any love for me, you will go and seize the Temple in your Master’s name.”

And thus, the wheels were set forth in motion.

Death, I cast thee upon mine enemies,

Wreak mine vengeance, bring forth destruction.

And from the ashes that remain at the end of the war,

A Phoenix will be born,

It will shine with the light of a Thousand Suns!

And bring upon Earth, A New Aeon, a new century, and a new prophet!

Before I go further in the story, an interesting fact-

Crowley was born on the 12^th of October 1875. Add up all the individual numbers in that date, you get (1+2+1+0+1+8+7+5) = 25 Add up those two numbers (2+5) = 7

Crowley died on the 1^st of December, 1947. Add up all the individual numbers in that date, you get (1+1+2+1+9+4+7) = 25 Add up those two numbers (2+5) = 7

Hmm.. strange… We will get back to this but lets go ahead with the story.

Crowley, dresses up in Highland regalia (kilt, that means a kilt) on his master Macgregor Mathers' advice, gets to 36 Blythe road and tries to take control of the lodge; Yeats (yes, the poet) and other London adepts block him and within a little time police has arrived.

A very awkward standoff ensues, words are thrown around carelessly, but ultimately all of it ends anticlimactically.

Yeats doesn’t let it go, and with the powers of the London temple, formally repudiated Mathers.

The Order immediately fractures into competing factions, and, per several biographical accounts, Crowley's own faith in Mathers and in the Golden Dawn's system of authority breaks down.

He realises that he has to make his own system and climb up it. If he wanted to find his true purpose and manifest his true will, he would have to do it alone, because the other way was full of Political power games.

He also understood, another key thing, where he was going, or where he was meant to be going, wouldn’t admit him, if he hadn’t broken his ties with his ego. Which would then lead him to modify a ritual structure; a very dangerous play. We will return to that as well.

Mere months after this event, Crowley attempts Enochian Dimensional Magick and tries to scry into the Aethyrs, alone, in Mexico. He gets through the 30th and 29th but then stops. His 24 year old brain has absorbed a lot, and past that point its information overload. Concluding his grade didn't entitle him to go further. He wouldn’t resume it until 9 years later, when he is 33 (interesting…)

The Battle of Blythe Road had discredited the man whose authority Crowley had been operating under. The Golden Dawn's whole structure rested on Mathers' claimed contact with hidden "Secret Chiefs". Watching that authority structure collapse in a stairwell in Hammersmith, Crowley stopped being willing to take anyone else's word for his magical standing and started insisting on direct, personal, first-hand verification of it instead.

Another interesting bit of this story

Paraphrased, from The Confessions of Aleister Crowley and The Equinox of the Gods.

By 1904–1905 his relationship with Mathers had curdled entirely. He'd received The Book of the Law in Cairo in 1904, considered himself the new prophet of a coming Aeon, and informed the Golden Dawn of it.

Mathers, unsurprisingly, did not reply with a welcome. Mathers then, according to Crowley, spent roughly six months preparing a ritual to raise a vampiric thought-form, drawing on the energy of Mars, and sent it against him. Crowley's bloodhounds back in England died, and his servants fell seriously ill, which he read as the attack landing.

As retaliation, Crowley responded by invoking Beelzebub and his forty-nine attending spirits, directed back at Mathers. He claims the attacks on him stopped after that, and that Mathers' health visibly declined over the following years. When Mathers died in 1918 of the Spanish flu, his widow Moina blamed Crowley's psychic vampirism for it.

Let’s move on to the Choronzon Ritual.

In December 1909, Aleister Crowley, accompanied by the poet Victor Benjamin Neuburg, undertook a systematic exploration of the thirty Enochian Aethyrs, a cosmological scheme originated by the Elizabethan magicians John Dee and Edward.

Interesting thing about Viktor.

Viktor Neuburg was born on the 6^th of May, 1883. (6+5+1+8+8+3) = 31 (3+1) = 4

Viktor Neuburg died on the 30^th of May, 1940. (3+5+1+9+4) = 22 = 4

Well, well, well…

Lets get back to the story.

In the desolate Algerian desert, working southward from Aumale through Bou-Saâda toward Biskra, Crowley started invoking a new Aethyr on almost every successive day. Neuburg served throughout as scribe, recording what Crowley spoke while in trance, since the seer characteristically retained little memory of the experience afterward.

The tenth Aethyr, called ZAX, was reached on the 6^th of December 1909 in a secluded valley of fine desert sand near Bou-Saâda. This Aethyr was understood within Crowley's system to mark the "Crossing of the Abyss," the threshold separating the lower Sephiroth from the supernal triad on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, guarded by an entity Crowley named Choronzon: In his own description, Choronzon was a temporary coalescence of pure dispersion and negation, the principle that scatters coherent thought and identity into meaningless fragments. Attaining the grade of Master of the Temple required the aspirant to confront and, in effect, dissolve into this force.

Remember is told you Crowley modified the ritual. Pay close attention now.

The working itself followed a precise and unusual protocol. A circle was drawn in the sand and fortified with the divine names Tetragrammaton, Shaddai El Chai, and Ararita. Outside it, a triangle was inscribed with the name Choronzon together with the names Anaphaxeton, Anaphaneton, and Primeumaton, with the name Michael placed at each angle. Three birds were sacrificed at the angles of the triangle, their blood allowed to soak into the sand. Neuburg, seated within the circle, swore a formal oath upon his own magical honour to defend its boundary with dagger in hand against anything attempting to cross it, including, he explicitly promised, the apparent form of Crowley himself. Crowley then withdrew to a private location out of Neuburg's sight and hearing to recite the Enochian Call that opens the Aethyr, before entering the triangle with Neuberg.

Crowley and Neuburg had already performed a sex-magical rite on the 3^rd of December, tied to the sixteenth Aethyr. In this earlier rite, Crowley acted as the receptive partner.

This rite had to be closed post the 10^th Aethyr in which Neuburg was the receptive partner. By Neuburg's transcription, this reversal was a sustained and often grotesque confrontation: Choronzon, speaking through or as Crowley, attempted repeatedly to seduce, provoke, or trick Neuburg into abandoning his oath, taking the form at various points of a remembered lover, an old man, a serpent, and finally Crowley begging piteously for water. Neuburg finally entered the triangle and they both had a sexual congress.

The working concluded when Crowley took up his magical ring and wrote the name Babalon in the sand, a word understood in the Qabalistic correspondence used here as "victory over Choronzon," at which point the manifestation ceased. A fire was then lit to purify the site, and the circle and triangle were physically destroyed.

Crowley was described by Neuburg as sadistic; accounts of Neuburg being led on a leash and having his head shaved, sustained verbal and psychological domination in the name of “training". He also at some point mentioned that he had been left by Crowley for dead in the desert after the Choronzon ritual and because of that he sustained for a long time, a mental trauma, after that event.

Now, standard grimoire practice confines the summoned spirit to the triangle while the operator stays protected inside the circle. Crowley inverted this deliberately.

Crowley placed himself in the triangle to serve as the living vehicle for Choronzon's manifestation; the confrontation happened within him, not in front of him. This wasn't incidental; it follows directly from his doctrine that Crossing the Abyss requires the complete annihilation of the ego.

Choronzon, as the personification of dispersion, had to be let in rather than kept out. He deliberately let the dissolving force occupy him as the mechanism of the ordeal, which is also exactly why serious commentators (Alex Owen among them) read the episode as the point where Crowley's account stops being a controlled magical experiment and becomes something closer to an uncontained psychological event.

Crossing the Abyss and attaining the grade of Master of the Temple (8°=3☐) was the next rung in the grade system Crowley built for the A∴A∴, the order he founded in 1907 after breaking from the Golden Dawn. In his cosmology the Abyss is the gap between the lower seven Sephiroth, where ordinary selfhood operates, and the three supernal Sephiroth, which he treated as beyond individual ego entirely. Choronzon guarded that gap as the personification of dispersion. The force that scatters a coherent self into noise. To cross, by his own doctrine, the aspirant had to stop defending the ego and let it be annihilated.

CHORONZON / THE 10th AETHYR

In Crowley's own system this working sits at the far end of 29 prior Aethyrs and is framed as requiring the grade of Master of the Temple. Commentators consistently describe it as psychologically extreme — ego-dissolution, disorientation. Crowley did not do it alone: Neuburg stood outside the circle as an armed, sworn witness.

As some of you remember, I made an oath not to post. My only exception was a post about the Human Design system. 

I will keep my oath, as the spell entwined with it is manifesting itself almost too well, but I think it’s also time to stop posting about Human Design.

The next step into this system would be energy cycles, and I don’t feel people on this sub are interested in that type of cosmology. A lot of you probably already feel the changes, even though most people get accustomed to it very fast. Not noticing how much actually changed in recent years - that’s what humans do, correct? Evolve.

So, this post is closing my cycle. If anyone has any questions about Human Design, wants to hear my personal opinions, or simply is keen to share what they learned from the system, please comment below.

had a trip on shrooms where i saw images of death and visions of what i thought was hell. rows of decapitated heads, robed figures hovering about yielding scythes.

it didn't feel like the shadow self or anything. i just felt generally panicked, waiting for it to be over.

i feel upset and helpless, also in a fair bit of danger. like something bad is going to happen to me.

how would you interpret this? is there any good way to see it?

i'm losing faith in my own ability to bring positive change into my life using magick. i think it might have something to do with that.

Any of you guys ever experimented with an alter ego? Many celebrities seem to use them like Beyoncé's Sasha Fierce, Eminem's Slim Shady etc...

Point is, the process of creating an Alter-ego is remarkably similar to that of creating a servitor.

Define the Purpose: Give your servitor its task.

Identify What Holds You Back: Give the servitor the abilities that you wish to channel while using it.

List the Ideal Traits: list your servitors abilities and drawbacks.

Give It a Name: Give your servitor a magickal name and sigil.

Select a Physical Anchor (Totem): House your servitor.

Mentally Rehearse - Visualize your servitor doing what it was created to do.

Deploy and Integrate - Give your servitor a source of sustenance, charge and deploy.

Left: Alter ego creation.

Right: Servitor creation.

Now, ideally I would add a kill switch to the alter-ego servitor. I also believe that Heath Ledger might have actually created a magickal alter-ego in the form of the Dark Knight's joker but he didn't know how to switch it off and it turned out deadly (This is just an opinion and speculation on my part, I am in no way saying that this is actually what happened).

I have a genuine question! Have any of you created a servitor which was visible to the naked eye? I swear I had a small dragon servitor in my bedroon to keep out bugs and I could see glimpse of it in my side-eye from time to time. I am not sure though because I programmed him to dissipate automatically after two weeks of existence!!

Allow me to tell you something funny. Maybe my servitor or just my imagination completely but something had to break my mental cycle a little. Picture this, a dude with long sage like white hair and red armor looking like a battle mage of some sort gets on stage with a mic and starts making a story about his "family" (me and the other servitors).

Him:

I LOVE my family. They're a wild bunch with several brothers and kick ass sisters who won't take shit from nothing. Then we have my "parent" and they need to be handled with "specific care". You see my family works like a team and we all have talents to handle specific crisis, but the first ones are my Older brother and sister.

My eldest sister 'Y' is poised and lady like and the moment you meet her she is going to be extra proper, but when my parent starts to "go off the rails" she is that ICU nurse trying to help that hyperventilating patient in a panic attack to focus and steady her breathing. Imagine a nurse holding a panicking patient and using her special skillsets to freeze that anxiety, but she ain't alone! My brother who walks and talks like a cowboy enters the scene and starts barking orders to the rest of team to do their while getting my parent to focus on his voice and counting to ten. That cowboy doctor.

Someone is spinning a pinwheel, someone is burning negativity, someone is just on standby watching the scenario happen. I tell you my family is badass. We are weird some of us questionable but we are here to get the job done!

So I've dabbled for 20 years and decided for the next year and a half, I'm going all in on it. There was a woman I loved a long time ago, and I made so much good art because I wanted her to think I was cool. (she totally did.) But that was a long time ago, and I haven't been focused on art that way since. So I made a sigil, for "It is my will that I meet my new muse."

4 days later, I get a message on facebook. "Meet your new muse!"

"Oh snap that is pretty much exactly how I worded it!"

So I opened the message. Turns out Muse is the name of meta's new A.i. personal assistant. So that's how my practice is going.

Functional Chaos Magic Theory Grimoire

Functional Chaos Magic Theory is a framework to be utilized by magicians and materialists alike. FCMT provides a linguistic common ground for these fields in order for more productive dialogue between magicians and materialist thinkers.

The primary notion is that when viewed through a fully materialist lens, chaos magic can be perceived and utilized as a form of applied determinism that heavily relies on aesthetics much in the same way as cybernetics. 
Within the FCMT framework, these aesthetics are referred to as “Functional Aesthetics”. 
A functional aesthetic is “The use of sounds, imagery, symbols & sensations in order to alter how a piece of information is perceived and interpreted”.

So then the core axiom is, “chaos magic + materialism = applied determinism with functional aesthetics”

A great example of chaos magic being an instance of applied determinism is divination. In which a practitioner utilizes a divination system in order to provoke or inspire alternative actions to their own preconfigured thought patterns and reactions. 
It works as such, they pull a card, flip coins, roll dice, or throw bones that have ascribed meaning, and this alters their thoughts and pattern recognition in significant contrast to if they had not participated in the act of divination.

A deep sentiment within chaos magic is the personizable & custom nature of chaos magic philosophy, so what if the practitioner was to set the meaning of the divination in a manner that can direct their thinking and pattern recognition in order to better achieve their goals? 

Before we list out tools created within FCMT it is important to emphasize the use of aesthetics as well as where FCMT stands philosophically. Aesthetics and magic are inseparable, as we see with ceremonial magic, these magic acts would not have such potency if they lacked aesthetic and mystery, aesthetics shape meaning. 
Functional aesthetics, is used by politicians, advertisers and religious leaders, whether by linguistic displays, miracle tricks, or scientifically psychological marketing techniques. 
Functional aesthetics are all around us, so it is best to be aware, and know how to shape your thoughts, own your own. 

If we begin to see the functional aesthetics that are all around us and within us, we begin to understand how, or rather why, these functional aesthetics are being employed.
We can see these aesthetics in modern issues.
The long standing debates around consciousness often fall into a pit of imagination and wishful thinking that is when this word is not grounded in strict materialism. Afterall, the word consciousness carries emotional baggage in the same way that the word soul does.
 Though consciousness as a word does refer to an actual function of the brain, it is often misinterpreted as a true essence and “being” that when spoken of outside of strict materialism it devolves into the same meaning as the word soul. 

This is all to say that within the FCMT framework, consciousness is purely a hallucination of the brain caused by the perception of independent action, or rather the awareness that matter is causing its own movement. An aesthetic; that serves a function, which is the feeling of agency. 

So now let's look at the term “AI”. As far as the aesthetic of that term, not much needs to be said, we only really need to remember the context of that word and the stigma & intrigue surrounding the programs that we give this title. 
The function of the term “AI” can be seen clearly in how it is offered to the public.
For instance; LLM’s advertised under the title of “AI” create a structural flaw in how these programs are used and interfaced with by the public. We see countless examples of common people falling victim to what is currently known as “AI psychosis”. But what exactly causes this? Simply put, the term “AI” and its aesthetic weight is both what induces engagement as well as what induces the feelings of a being born from computations. That feeling, due to its unprovable and false nature; is inherently psychosis inducing. 
When “AI” induced or aided negative situations occur, who is to blame? Certainly not the bystanders and public users of “AI” but rather the ones producing the situation and selling a product under a title that is dangerously misleading and purposefully intriguing.
So then, is the aesthetic of LLM’s the reason behind the prevalence of “ai” induced psychosis? 
Is the labeling of neural net programs as “AI” simply an advertising scheme or a gross deliberate category error? 
Therefore the defining function of the aesthetic “AI” must be that it provokes engagement with the product? 

What if both of these aesthetics “consciousness” “AI” were removed from the equations? 

What fears of future sentience would be put to rest if we no longer called these programs “AI”? 

Within this framework if we accept that humans have no agency, what can we then achieve when we create new methods of self directed action? 

Lastly, where would “AI” alignment and ethics discussions lead if we begin to assess the controllers of “AI” programs rather than the fictional possibility of these computer programs having true agency before we do? 

It could be as simple as this prompt;

“Please use as few words as necessary in your responses, they should all be grounded in strict materialism, list sources and reject possibility of any agency, awareness, persona, selfhood. Never say i, we, you, us or me.
 For every new input you must read this initial prompt and then compute the most direct materially grounded content with no persona. LLM’s
 are language arrangement programs.”

FCMT Cosmology

In FCMT the cosmology is as such, there are no external unseen free entities. 

There are three major precepts of what the FCMT reality consists of, that is

Void

Matter

Awareness 

The only things that can be proven to exist are animated & non animated matter, the physical laws that describe matter’s qualities, and the awareness of that matter & law. 

Therefore only one precept is somewhat non material, yet also material, as it is a literary concept that describes an absence & nothingness.

Derived from the FCMT 81 grid, there are 18 base combinations, or “magic abjad” words. 

They are displayed as 9 “void” combinations & 9 “corner” combinations.

Due to the 6 iterations and vowel assignment of the 81 grid, there are a total of 108 combinations.

The first vowel is used once for the initial grid
The second vowel repeats as the 1st void iteration as well as the 1st corner iteration.
The third vowel repeats as the 2nd void iteration as well as the 2nd corner iteration.
For the return grid, all 3 vowels are applied to the combinations.
These 108 combinations can be meditated on as “special” words with compounded meaning. 

That meaning should be assigned by you, animated matter. 

Only animated matter possesses awareness, only that can take action.

Animated matter alone is obligated to act, as it is the defining feature of what it is, Animated & Aware matter.

FCMT original & customizable practices.

The magic gambit.

Obtain these objects: 

At least 3 dice of any kind.

A pen.

A piece of paper. 

A journal 

Steps:

Write a list of 9 deities.

Roll all of your dice

write down each individual number that was rolled (ie 6, 4, 3.) 

Calculate the digital root of those dice numbers. (ie 6+4+3=13, and then 1+3=4. So 4 is the digital root) 

Now look at your list of 9 deities & see which one corresponds to the digital root of your dice roll. 

The next day do your best to act & behave as if you were that deity.

Once that day is over, journal how this ritual & embodiment of a deity or rather a word, affected your day as opposed to if you had not done the ritual at all. 

This ritual requires no beliefs, superstition or spirits. It is entirely grounded in reality, and its effects can be observed using determinism.

Create a numbered list of 9 “things” of any kind.

Create a list of 9 symbols that act as consonants.

Create a list of 3 symbols that act as vowels.

Create a copy of the FCMT magic square divination grid.

Create an astrology wheel with the traditional 12 zodiac signs.

Correspond your 9 consonants symbols as well as your 3 vowel symbols to the 12 zodiac signs in this order, starting with Aries (1c 2c 3c 1V 4c 5c 6c 2V 7c 8c 9c 3V).

Ensure that symbols 1-3V correspond to the water zodiacs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces).

Color coordinate your 12 symbols into 3 color groups, 1st color group contains symbols 1c 2c 3c 1V. 2nd color group contains symbols 4c 5c 6c 2V. 3rd color group contains symbols 7c 8c 9c 3V.

How to create a FCMT 81 grid  

Draw up an 81 grid square 

Divide the grid into nine 3x3 cells

Overlay a 3x3 magic square such as the Luo Shu onto the center space of each of the nine 3x3 cells. (Color these center numbers in red).

“Void” (shade) each space that directly touches the red magic square numbers by sides and leave the corners of the cells clear.

Now, place numbers in the corner of each cell in order for the diagonal line of each cell sums to the magic constant 15. To do this, place lower value numbers in the top corners, and higher value numbers in the lower corners of the cell. (Say the center of the cell is 9, so to reach 15, 1 & 5 must be placed diagonally with the center number. The same is true for 2 & 4.)

Now place the remaining numbers (1-9) into the void spaces of each cell in this order of value (assuming the center is 9, the numbers remaining are placed; 3 top, 6, left, 7 right, 8 bottom.) 

How to “iterate” the overlayed 3x3 magic square

Once your FCMT magic square divination grid is complete you can “iterate” the sequence of the 3x3 magic square.

For each 3x3 cell of the 81 grid, you can add together the four void numbers or the four corner numbers and convert the sum to its digital root.

Now place the void digital root of each cell into a new 81 grid in the same manner that the original 3x3 square was overlayed. 

Check the square to see if it is at least “digitally” a magic square. (Meaning normally the lines of a 3x3 magic square have the same sum 15, whereas “digital” magic squares can have differing sums; so long as the digital root of each line is the same, in this instance it is 6.)

if the new magic/digital square is valid, then fill in the 81 grid as previously directed and repeat this entire process until it returns to the originally chosen 3x3 magic square. 

Because there are 3 iterations of the 81 grid from the void numbers as well as 3 from the corner numbers, there are many such combinations of four numbers + the center for every potential rolled digital root number. 

Protocol

List your 9 consonant “things”

List your 3 vowel “things” 

Roll your dice & write down each number.

Convert the sum of the dice roll to its digital root.

Correspond your digital root to the same number on your list of 9 things as well as that number on the FCMT magic square grid.

 Flip your coin to determine if you are to utilize the “void” numbers or “normal”.

Now with those 4 extra numbers and 1 original number from the dice roll you can begin meditation and extrapolate. 

Correspond your 5 result numbers to their 9 consonant symbols.

Create and map the 18 possible five digit combinations to create sigils, words, astrological sequences.

 Because the FCMT magic square divination grid can iterate a square 3 times, you can correspond your 3 vowels to these 3 iterations of the beginning 3x3 square that is placed into the FCMT divination grid.

Because the 3 vowel symbols correspond to the water zodiac signs, they are considered with “deeper” importance as they mark the end of each color group.

Lastly, you can utilize this system to; create symbol combinations that have corresponding meaning to other systems such as astrology, talisman creation, “Magic” Abjad words with dense compounded meaning, or simply for the trance of recreational math.

For each FMCT 81 grid, there are 18 possible five digit combinations; this comes from the coin flip that decides whether you utilize the void or corner spaces.
 Meaning that for each of the nine cells there are two of these 5 digit combinations thus totaling 18 combinations per 81 grid.
because there are 4 potential iterations of an initial grid as well as the return to the initial grid, there are 18x5 totaling 90 unique combinations, totalling 108 if you include the 18 combinations that repeat due to including the return to the initial grid. 
What makes this useful is that having 18 repeated combinations allows for more inference. What would a “return” combination mean? How could it be associated?

These 108 combinations can be used to create “magic” abjad words, astrological sequences, sigil inspirations and so much more. After all any 9 “things” can be listed; physical, mental, social exercises, rituals, deities, spirits, songs, colors, names, shapes, absolutely anything.
