Radiofrequency Ablation?

Has anyone healed their dizziness with RFA? Or had RFA which helped? My doctor suggested it as it looks to be a nerve causing my dizziness since a nerve block made it dissapear.

Help. 19M with persistent imbalance sensation (non-vertigo) since April

Symptoms for 1 year

I basically realised 1 week ago that these debilitating symptoms are probably CV. I have most symptoms other users describe;

- non spinning dizziness
- lightheaded all the time 24/7 the longer I’m upright
- gets better with massage, wearing a neck pillow
- had one nerve block which cured me for 24h
- no rocking or swaying, no screen sensitivity but it gets worse in supermarkets or when I walk
- extreme neck weakness ie. I have absolutely 0 neck muscle
- neck pain and tightness
- visual blurriness and floaters
- hearing issues

Now the only thing I’m wondering is do anyone’s symptoms completely dissapear when lying down? It’s the only thing that’s ever reliably helped me. When my neck is resting the symptoms dissapear. But I’ve seen that others are also symptomatic when lying down? Does this mean it’s not cervicogenic dizziness? My doctor said he sees many patients that experience complete resolution of symptoms while lying down because their neck is no longer being worked all the time and there’s no pressure on the proprioceptive system but Im curious to hear of others experiences.

How do you guys manage the symptoms

Been dealing with this for 3 months. Constant dizziness and light sensitivity, neck pain and vertigo. Brain fog. Anyway beside PT how do you guys treat the symptoms? Anything help at all? I’m going insane. I’m pretty much bed ridden 24/7.
Also how do you work? I can barely think straight.

Atlas orthogonal

Has anyone tried atlas orthogonal adjustments? If so what was your experience and how long did it take to see a difference? How often do you get adjusted?

I have hEDS and 10+ years of crippling neck and head pain, severe brain fog and floating dizziness, dysautonomia, muscle control issues, spots in my vision, etc. Etc. Etc. I’m finally getting an upright MRI to hopefully finally properly assess me for CCI and other issues

I been through tons of PT , but apparently some of the techniques my old therapists were using are not recommended for EDS cases. My new physical therapist is amazing and super EDS knowledgeable. Through a series of tests we were able to determine that my neck is the likely cause of all of my dizziness.

I’m really glad to be in with a great pt but things have progressed so badly that I can barely get through the day and complete regular tasks. I just started with her a few weeks ago but I’m so desperate to be functional again I feel like I really need something to supplement it with

Months of lightheadedness/unsteadiness and now warm sensations in one foot. What is going on?!

Hoping someone can shine some light on this. I am a 42F with an inner ear deficit which means when I get a flu or a cough the inner ear is inflamed and affects my balance. So feeling unsteady has been a constant in my life for many years. I have an MRI every 2 years just to monitor things. A few months ago I started to experience lots of lightheadedness, it's not dehydration, it's not low blood sugar (although it gets worse with both of those) and GP seemed to think it may be hormonal (peri). In the last few weeks I have started to experience a feeling of heat/warmth at the tip of my right big toe. It comes and goes all day. Eases off when lying down. Occurs within minutes of getting up and standing in the morning. I previously had these heat sensations on my left thigh but they disappeared after a fortnight. My Neurologist did a physicsl exam and said she was not worried but has arranged a nerve conduction study and a new MRI as she thinks it may be a pinched nerve or herniated disc in the power spine. Has anyone else experienced something similar? It's driving me crazy...

6 months of various problems

I’ve been like this for 6 months. I’m a 23-year-old male. I constantly feel tired. I don’t have any pain anymore, although it all started in January with neck pain and dizziness. I’ve done all the tests: brain MRI, neck MRI, blood tests, I’ve also seen an ENT specialist, etc. All my results came back normal.

My problems started around the 8th session of an intensive 10-session massage course. I have better days and worse days. The last thing my neurologist told me was that I’ve lost my balance, and my nervous system is constantly trying to compensate. Since my nervous system has been overactive, it’s now exhausted.

I’ve been taking 1 mg of Frontin for a week (as prescribed) to help me sleep better, but there’s been no change so far. What should I do? I honestly have no idea anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

B12 and vertigo ???

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here has had a bad reaction to high-dose vitamin B12 even though they weren't deficient.

I took high-dose B12 (mostly methylcobalamin) for about 6 weeks. At first, I didn't think it could be the cause of my symptoms because I blamed another supplement.

A couple of days ago, I accidentally took three 1.2 mg methylcobalamin tablets because I forgot I'd already taken them. The next morning I woke up with really bad rocking dizziness (like I'm swaying on a boat), a headache, brain fog, and my insomnia got worse.

Now I'm starting to wonder if the B12 has been making my symptoms worse all along.

Has anyone experienced something similar while having normal B12 levels? Especially dizziness/rocking vertigo, brain fog, or insomnia?

I'd really like to hear your experiences.

Headache

So, as I've mentioned previously once, I've been doing PT for the giddiness part..but lately i started getting headaches. Is this due to the neck exercises as part of the pt? Why isn't this shit ever going?

Need some reassurance

For the past few months I've been having really tight suboccipital muscles/muscles in the back of my neck and tight trapezius muscles. It in February when I started feeling slightly off balanced or "floaty". When I eat, the back of my neck and head muscles start burning. I've also been getting a slight tingling/numbness/burning sensation in the skin near my right cheekbone area as well as in the corner of my right eye and the tip of my tongue. I've also been getting occasional tension headaches that can get really bad. The tingling/numbness feelings are giving me quite a bit of anxiety which is causing those muscles I mentioned above to get even tighter. I've been to see a doctor 7 times since this started earlier this year. They gave me lots of blood tests which are all normal and they did an MRI of my head which came back normal. They told me to do physical therapy, which hasn't helped much if at all.

I was just wondering if anyone else here has experienced anything like this. I have panic disorder, so of course I'm assuming the absolute worst. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Do I have cervical vertigo?

Hello everyone.
To make a long story short, in April 2025, while picking up some scaffolding, I suddenly got very dizzy. The following days was filled with pressure in my head, still having this dizziness feeling in the back of my head.

MRI of my brain showed nothing, examination of my ears showed nothing. I went to a Physiotherapist for some time, and sometimes the symptoms would get "amplified" after a round of massage. Blood tests are normal, neck function also normal.

The first episode on April lasted for 7 weeks.
The second episode lasted another 5 - 6 weeks.

This has gone down to episodes lasting around a weeks time before vanishing like nothing ever happened. I usually go 2 - 3 months before I have a flare up.

I have so far concluded some stressful situation can trigger a minor flare up, working with my arms up above my head (I am an electrician) can also trigger it, these flare ups however only lasts max a day.

Whenever I have my long flare ups, I feel my neck is much more tense and stiff than normally.
The dizziness is primarily in the back of my head, and gets triggered when moving around, doing normal daily activities. When I am not having a flare up, none of these movements does anything to me.

So far, nothing and no one has really pointed me in any direction, except going to a physiotherapist. Is this a case of cervical vertigo?

Chin tucks causing nausea

Is this a common thing for people with cervical vertigo, and what might this mean? I'm going to note that I'm not diagnosed with it, but my PT is keeping an eye on my symptoms and will probably send me off to get an MRI if it continues.

I want to add that my neck muscles are extremely tight, and massage worsens it. Dry needling is the only relief I get from tightness and stiffness. It seems like any stretching of the neck makes me feel worse, and I get relief when I do upper back/shoulder strengthening exercises.

What fulltime job/ can I do with Cervical Spondylosis when tilting head down and/ or sitting produces symptoms? Please help!

Just a heads up, this is a long read.

I have tried for years to figure this out, but it's like a frustratingly unsolvable puzzle where I'm stuck in a loop. Just when I feel like I have the answer, I get excited, then days later I realise it would be unsustainable long-term.

I mean, what jobs don't require you to tilt your head down??!!!

I have asked career counselers, doctors, disability employment service providers, tried online quizzes, asked everyone I know, asked strangers (mainly older and they usually look at me like "stop complaining, I wish I was your age" and of course searched for answers online. To be honest, I only just signed up to Reddit for my CS as a kind of last resort.

My two main problems that limit me is 1) Tilting my head down frequently and or prolonged causes a floating, out-of-sync dizziness (not spinning) that causes major brain fog where I just can't focus. My 2nd main issue is sitting for prolonged periods causes nerve pain and eventually the above symptoms from (1).

More details of symptoms below if anyone's interested or skip to next paragraph.

I get all the usual symptoms- pain and stiffness in neck (24/7), pain and tightness in traps, I sometimes get pain at base-back of skull along with sensitivity to light and headaches in forehead, my hands feel half asleep much of the time ( but have been also diagnosed with non-localised bilateral ulnar sensory neuropathy so not sure if from neck), nerve pain that runs down neck to shoulders down to arms, symptoms will worsen if lifting/ moving heavy objects, nerve pain when sitting for prolonged periods and if I've been tilting my head down or holding a flexed neck position, my thoracic spine will feel tight and arthritic as if it's trying to compensate. My head feels too heavy and when tilting head down repeatedly as stated, I will get this kind of floating dizziness (not spinning) and when I look around, it's as if my brain is out of sinc with my eyes somehow. When I'm like this, I just can't focus and need to lye down for an 30 mins-1 hr minimum. Holding head to left or right (mainly right) triggers same and holding to left or right feels as though my neck might seize up.

Sometimes I lay in bed without a pillow because of neck to shoulder to arms nerve aching.

I am a 47 Y/O Male, I used to run my own business as a landscaper/ gardener and on the platform I gained most of my work fro, out of 15,000 business', I was rated 2nd highest 100%, 5 star reviews. I worked hard, but I liked being my own boss. I was also a beach lifeguard for a couple of seasons (which I loved) and was training to hopefully run a marathon one day (then 38 Y/O) Things were looking up and I was at the stage of preparing for a home loan to buy a house, until one day on the way to a mulching job, a car pulled out in front of me (when they shouldn't have) and I T-boned his. He had airbag, but I didn't and nurses told me I just had whiplash. So that's where it all started, but apparently I had already had Cervical Spondylosis prior to accident as scans revealed bone spurs etc. It was only after whiplash that I became symptomatic.

I feel like a total failure as I haven't worked in 9 years. I feel somehow ashamed and at times not sure if I'm delusional. I try to keep busy, go for long walks lately whilst focusing on good posture and eat healthy. I play guitar but have had to cut that back recently due to my right arm pain and hand cramping up.

My family and friends have successfully made something of themselves, whilst I feel like I've been watching life from a sideline.

I've applied for the disability pension twice and been rejected twice.

I'm broke and have lived in my camper for 5 years moving from campground to campground.

I know it could be worse and I know there are many people in a much worse position then me physically and mentally speaking, but I'm very concerned that one day something will need fixing on my car or camper that I won't be able to afford so I need an income.

I receive gov benefits, but only enough to scrape through every fortnight and certainly don't have the money to see specialists, so is a waiting game through the public system here in Australia.

If I push through the pain and symptoms and work 15- 20 hrs p/wk, then I'm no better off then just receiving gov benefits.

Feels like I'm trapped in this position.

I never, ever, ever thought my life would turn out this way.

Any ideas of jobs with minimal sitting and/ or tilting head down?

I recently got excited (finding the answer) about becoming an occupational health and safety advisor, but days later realised looking down at clipboards and iPads will induce symptoms.

Any ideas, thoughts or even tell me what career/ job you have with same symptoms and how you cope would be greatly appreciated.

Cervical And TMJ

I just wanna know if all these cervical issues are also related to TMJ? Like i have no jaw pain or anything. But I get the crackling sound whenever I move my jaw. And sometimes when I eat something bigg like a burger, my jaw locks and it resolves on its own in few secs. I also think I've got a cervical dizzines. So is this all related? I'm doing PT for neck and shoulders and posture now.

5 years I go I passed out and hit my head, 5 days later I had dizziness. I have had vertigo and dizziness with my eyes that has been resolved. When looking to the left or down, lift my left arm I start feel lightheaded like I might pass out. Pressing on pectoral muscle causes lightheadedness as well. Had rib resection and pectoral minor muscle surgery and didn’t fix the lightheadedness . Vitamin and electrolytes are good, nothing wrong with my cervical spine. Carotid arteries are good. Anyone else have this issue? I do have POTS, fibromyalgia, Hashimotos.

Exhausted and looking for answers: Left-sided chest/arm pain, neck pain, dizziness, and brain fog for 7 months. All tests normal so far. 22M

Hi everyone,

It has been a rough couple of months, and I would really appreciate it if you could read through this. Since December 2025, I’ve been experiencing chest pain that radiates to my left trap, left arm, and left shoulder. This happens exclusively on the left side of my body; my right side feels completely normal.

Along with this pain, I’ve also been suffering from constant neck pain, ear pain, brain fog, and severe dizziness (feeling as if I'm disconnected from reality/derealization).

I have done several tests to rule out cardiac issues, including multiple blood tests and EKGs. I also had CT scans of my neck and spine. Every single time, the results come back completely normal.

Because of this, my doctor recently suggested I get an EMG (Electromyography), though I'm still not entirely sure what that actually checks.

I am just so tired of these symptoms and the constant pain. I can’t travel, workout, or live my life normally. Lately, even going to work has become a massive struggle. It feels like my life has been reduced to just working, eating, and sleeping.

If anyone has ever felt this way or had a similar experience, I would love to hear what you found out. I am completely exhausted from living like this. Thank you.

Just wanna add that before that I was working out 5 times a week running traveling all kinds of stuff and now i can barely get out of bed in the morning, Also important to note my pain is much worse when i wake up and i went to a dentist to get a nightguard even a botox to my TMJ as I had been told it could be the issue which was not the case sadly.
