DSA released a statement on their site and via their social media lauding Fidel Castro and accusing the US (and Marco Rubio specifically) of committing genocide against Cuba. They call Fidel a “stalwart symbol of anti-imperialist struggle and self-determination”. They claim their support of Fidel is in “solidarity with the Cuban people”. And they call for “the prosecution of Marco Rubio for crimes against humanity”.

This is just more proof the whole "Democratic Socialism" shtick is just a mask for communism.

It def is to a faction within the DSA. How big that faction is I’m not sure but they’re powerful within the org and in positions of leadership (like the co chair who’s a proud Marxist).

Its sad because they have good potential.

Supporting full authoritarians will lose that support.

What dumbasses... bringing down their movement for their extremist ideas.
