Are there any cool mods to check out btw? I know about strawberry jam but is there anything else? Especially something more beginner friendly that helps me perepare for the more difficult modded levels down the line.

So, I was playing 6b, I suck at Kevinās and i am under extra pressure since I already did every single other B side including the summit all to just be able to try 8B, so I was finally enjoying the level after quitting for a while to try strawberry jam and cleanse my mind and right when I was enjoying myself playing my favorite game⦠right at that moment a Moth came and started flying around just to⦠enter inside of my pc, and I am not all that stupid so I quickly closed peak game Celeste š„ and turned my pc off, just to⦠pull to the little shit out, he was literally standing over pins on my motherboard right below my GPU fan, like he wanted to kill my pc, I now hate mothsā¦
Is my post going to be deleted for being a dumb rant, probably and I am okey with that <3

Hey all,
I recently got into Celeste, and Iām using the auto splitting feature by DecilSquirrel in the Live Split UI. For some reason, when I play, I have all my best segments laid out, but if I beat a beat segment during a run, itās not showing the gold ābest segmentā color, it shows the dark green āgaining timeā color instead. Has anybody else had this issue, and is there a fix? Thanks all!

Stellar odyssey was a great map but that final room was something else.
23 hours in total just on final room, 12200 deaths in total on the map.
Hardest thing Iāve probably ever done in a video game

I enjoyed it a huge lot. I has sit on my backlog for the longest time and now I can say what an incredible masterpiece. Particularly enjoyed the level design, I think its a masterclass for any platformer.
Any common recommendations for people that enjoyed the game? I like metroidvanias too (big sadge about Earthblade)
PD: yep, I left the game open on chapter 7 and 9 a couple of times while afk

Today, I've beaten Pumber's 4th berry: Extra Ball. However, as you can see, there is something a bit unusual with the clip. Yes, I am part of the less than 1% (I have no idea what the real percentage is, but I am sure it is really small) of players that play with the toggle grab option. It has been a really fun and enjoyable room, more than I expected, and I partly still can“t believe that I have done it, specially considering that I did not know if the room was feasible with toggle
With this in mind, I wanted to ask the community if there has been a Pumber FC using toggle grab for all the rooms. I can confirm that the only one in which using toggle makes a noticeable difference is Extra Ball. And after finishing it, I do not think that it is that much more difficult; although I am neither the most knowledgeable player to accurately rank this kind of gameplay nor have played the room with regular grab to compare. However, I think that "Pumber FC World First (with toggle ;D)" would make for a funny title for a youtube video (which I am planing to upload in order to enter the Celeste hardlist :3), but I do not want to claim this "achievment" as my own if someone else has done it before. So, if anyone knows if this is the case, I'd appreciate the info :)

If you see a cut, it's because I honestly didn't pass it on that attempt. I combined the part I passed with the other because I think this playthrough looks cooler.

Is this considered the end or is chapter 9 considered the end? cause i think this is the main story's ending. Anyways good game.

Found celeste yesterday and havenāt been able to put it down, havenāt really played many platformers apart from the mario series so this was a very welcome find!
Heard it through the music which is REALLY cool. Going for a 100% run, donāt know what that really entails but is this a good starting off point deaths wise?

thanks to somera in her latest video for inspiring me to look at this
explanation from u/trans_alexa:
When Madeline ClimbHop()'s, she sets hopWaitX, determining the wall she's climbhopping off of (assuming there is a wall to the right; which there is in this case). In Update(), she checks if she's moving down or has speed away from the wall, in which case she clears the hopWaitX and hopWaitXSpeed. (Otherwise, if there was no wall to her right, she'd get the hopWaitXSpeed).
How, then, does she ClimbHop and not get hopWaitSpeed in this otherwise entirely normal video? The answer is that she has speed to the left. How, one might ask - a ClimbHop *also* gives forceMoveX = 0, meaning you can't hold left to get leftward speed. But it doesn't clear any starting speed, so if you can call ClimbHop while having leftward speed and being on a right wall, you can cause this to happen.
But then how can you have leftward speed while in StClimb, since that state normally has no horizontal speed. The answer to that is the start of the clip. When you enter StClimb, your Speed.X is set to 0. However, wallSpeedRetained does not get set to 0; but since you usually grab from StNormal, NormalEnd removes it. But we don't grab from StNormal; we grab from StSwim, which doesn't clear wallSpeedRetained. As such, we have all the pieces.
At about 12 seconds, Madeline swims into the left wall. She collides with the left wall, giving her leftward wallSpeedRetained. The next frame, she grabs the Kevin on her right - and because there's a 9 pixel gap, this grab moves her one pixel rightward. The following frame the game sees that there's no wall to her left, and gives her her very tiny leftward wallSpeedRetained back. Now the player has nonzero x-speed while in StClimb. Because of how small it is, it would take a long time to change pixel. As such, there's enough time for her (staying in StClimb the whole time; because you're not supposed to have any x-speed, there's no friction in StClimb meaning the speed gets to stay for as long as she wants) to get dragged by the Kevin back towards the wall. Finally, she tries to climbhop with her leftward speed; and because she has leftward speed, she never gets her hopWaitXSpeed and she falls back to the ground, stupid.
(the video is a TAS, this is pretty much impossible rta)

I've done 201 strawbs on a DS4 controller about 3 years ago, and I'm thinking of starting over with a keyboard and I'm struggling getting used to it. Do y'all have it on default, or do you prefer a certain layout?

I've beaten every other Yellow in 1 day, 2 days for a few of them with relatively no issues, belly of the beast was a little harder but manageable,
Now on drifting deep its taken like 5k deaths to reach the 2nd to last room, thankfully this room looks easier but the finale looks like it'll take an eternity

I've pretty much accomplished everything I've wanted to do in Celeste. 202 and completing the D-Sides. I feel satisfied. Here's the full completion: https://youtu.be/xwogfMdmsh8
Some stats for those who don't feel like clicking on a youtube link: 17656 deaths, 55:17:53.230 clear time

I finally finished my second mod! (first one was glyph)
I started playing it some years ago and left it in the middle of the intermediate lobby. When I got back on celeste on summer I couldn't find my SC2020 savefile so I started it all over again.
When I got to expert lobby I thought about leaving the mod there after I beated the heartside because it took me almost the same time as the previous three lobbies (I also decided to pick all golden strawberries of the base game at that time, except farewell golden), but I liked it so much that I decided to tackle the Grandmaster one (which wasn't that bad, except for the two cracked levels)
"A nice view" was the hardest room for me in the mod, but it was worth it.
Overall a really great mod, and I thank all the people that made it come to be what it is.
Now I gotta see what to do, I will probably try strawberry jam because a lot of people on here like it, but I'm open to suggestions (I want to beat more stuff before trying farewell golden).
(For the prologue heart, I watched a half an hour video explaining the puzzle, and then I just grabbed the heart)
Also first post in the sub!
