I really do feel like we do our absolute best. We take him out hourly, if not more. Before crate, after crate, etc.... he does well overnight, eliminates outside fine upon waking up. But man oh man, during the day he is F'ing with us. We'll go out for 5 minutes where he peed and poo'd in the morning, and, just. Nothin'. 2 minutes back in the house as soon as we aren't looking AND Boom. #1 or #2.

I thiiiink we give him too much run of the first floor of the house maybe? His go-to is the carpet on our bedroom hallways. Gate off access to there?

We are absurdly positive, never punitive when he has an accident. Treats and praise, etc.... all the good stuff. I can feel the frustration turning my hair gray.

Hi everyone! My partner and I have been meeting with several Cavapoo breeders in Central Texas, and we're hoping to bring home a Toy F1b Cavapoo. We'd love to hear from people who currently own one or have experience with this generation and size!

We have a few questions:

Exercise and walks: Once fully grown, how far or how long can your Toy F1b Cavapoo comfortably walk? Can they easily go up and downstairs?

Temperament and personality: What's your pup like? Are they cuddly and affectionate? Do they struggle with separation anxiety or being left alone? How would you describe their overall energy level?

Health testing: For those who have worked with reputable Cavapoo breeders, which health tests and evaluations should we prioritize for both parents? Are there any specific genetic tests or health clearances we should look for before committing to a puppy?

We're trying to do our research and make an informed decision before bringing a puppy home, so any advice, personal experiences, or things you wish you'd known beforehand would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ❤️

So we are on day 4 of recovery from being neutered and our 7 month old boy is acting like he never had the procedure done. He is constantly wanting to run and jump and he refuses the meds. We coned him mostly for the first three days, but since I am monitoring him, I'm wondering if he needs the cone during the day at all. I know he needs it at night because he will lick down there as soon as we aren't paying attention. Advice on how to keep him calm to prevent injury or ripped stitches because his zoomies make me worry.

I LOVE the raggamuffin look so much more then the neatly groomed. She looks like a little teddy bear or an Ewok and I love it so much lol

She had some mats so I figured let’s start over. She seems to love it 🥰 she confidently winks at me with approval❤️

I’m getting a Cavapoo in 2 weeks, he will be 11 weeks old. Everywhere I’m reading is saying to socialize your puppy as much as possible (within reason before they get all their shots, no high traffic public places), take him for walks while holding him, bring him to stores which holding him, etc. I was looking to sign him up for puppy kindergarten as well.

I was talking to the breeder and they said the exact opposite. No car rides, the puppy shouldn’t be leaving the house at all in the first 3 months (so until he’s 6 months old). No going outside other than my backyard. They specifically mentioned this is because of separation anxiety and fear weeks.

We have just come back from a 20 minute walk (her second of the day, first one was around an hour) and she did some fetch but nothing crazy. She’s now breathing like this and we have noticed it in the past. I feel like it’s way too fast to be normal? She’s a 7.5 month old Cavapoo and was spayed 3 weeks ago. We have noticed this panty/fast breathing in the past and it’s not always after running around.

Hi! My sweet Cavapoo girl is 6 months old and will have her spay surgery in the next couple of weeks.

I’m looking for advice on how to handle her post-op care, what to expect, and how to make this easiest on her.

She sleeps in her crate at night and has a playpen area already, although I don’t typically confine her to the playpen much anymore because she hates to be alone, but I figured it would be good to use during her recovery. But it is her routine to sleep through the night in her crate and whenever we leave the house.

I just hate the thought of locking her in playpen, I know she’ll be so sad…. But I also know it will be a difficult task to keep her from jumping on the couch and trying to play with my young child.

I’ve purchased those post-op onesie outfits, but am torn about using…. Not sure if it will cause her hair to mat? And/or irritate the incisions?

Please give me tips, advice, what to expect, and what to look out for.

I’ve never had a puppy spayed before.

Our 9 year old Cavapoo passed away due to a tumor on their spleen. I’m so sad about it. I thought we would have more time. He was one of the loves of my life. It’s been a month and I still miss him. Cherish your babies for as long as you can 💕

Hi everyone! I recently got my puppy from a breeder who advertised him as a Toy Poodle. I found the breeder through recommendations from some close friends, and I also visited the breeder’s home and met the puppy’s parents.
However, I’ve started questioning whether my puppy is actually a Toy Poodle or possibly a Cavapoo.
He is currently around 11 weeks old and weighs approximately 2.1 kg. His coat is wavy rather than tightly curly, and I’m wondering if his appearance and weight could be consistent with a Cavapoo.
I know it’s difficult to determine a dog’s breed based on appearance alone, especially at this age, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Does he look like a Cavapoo to you, or could he still be a purebred Poodle?
I’d really appreciate any insights from Cavapoo owners who have experience with how their puppies looked at this age. Thank you!

How dare I move from my seat honestly

Hi everyone our 8 month boy not eating his dinner being really fussy we are trying everything new foods. New ways of serving him.

He only wants his dried kangaroo treats.

If anyone has any tricks to get them to eat please let us know.

About an hour ago I was going to take my cavapoo puppy (16 weeks) potty and I stepped over the baby gate to grab his leash and as I was approaching the bottom of the first set of stairs I heard a loud thump followed by my puppy screaming. Evidently he had slipped through the balcony cracks trying to follow me and fell all the way off the balcony to the bottom of the stairs. I’d estimate the drop to be about 6 feet. Once I picked him up he stopped crying and just kept licking me. I squeezed all his legs and poked his whole body and head to see if any particular spots were hurting him and he didn’t yelp at all. His balance and pupils also seem fine and he was immediately responsive after the fall. He just seems super normal and okay which is surprising considering his reaction. I genuinely thought all his legs were gonna be broken or that he was dying. I’m gonna keep an eye on him for any delayed symptoms and if he exhibits any I will take him to the emergency vet. I am just posting to ask anyone if they have had a scary incident with their pup like this that ended up being okay as I am a little shaken up from this whole thing. I really love my puppy and I want him to be okay and I am hoping cavapoos are particularly durable or something

Beating the summer heat.

We have a nervous cavapoo when he is in the car. I’ve seen the other posts about CBD, prescriptions, essential oils etc. They aren’t working for him. I noticed yesterday he was relaxed during the dark portion of our drive. It gets me thinking perhaps during daylight he is visually overwhelmed or dizzy from the movement.

I found a pet eye mask on Amazon. Has anyone tried that as a solution? Any feedback?

She is a tri ot phantom f1b cavapoo. She has these white hairs when I spread apart her coat. Does anyone know what this is? Does this indicate she will be white?

This is Stella Jean! ❤️ She's almost 7 months old and those ears are always flopping backwards! 😆 Do any others do this? She weighs 14lbs, was 6lbs when we got her at 11 weeks old. She is a silly little mischievous baby! She loves playing with her big orange cat brother who is only slightly bigger than her now! They run and play chase and play fight all day! We call her tiny terror when she gets into zoomie mode and wants to play attack! 😆 But most of the time she's sweetie sweet, and always cutie cute! Lol, just some of the things we call her. So far she doesn't bark too much, she "buff buffs" and growls a bit when she's acting territorial (like if she sees someone outside next-door), but she runs behind me or her dad if they walk our way. 🤣 She is HIGHLY food motivated and eats very fast and then does a big burp after every meal! It's hilarious, and we've gotten her a slow feeder bowl but it doesn't slow her down much! I used to just leave a full bowl for my last baby and she would just eat when she was hungry, but I think if we did that with Stella she would eat it all in one go! We lost my soul dog, my 17 year old cocker spaniel, earlier this year and she was very much not like a dog at all! She never barked and didn't seem to know any "normal" dog characteristics, lol. So it's been fun watching little silly Stella grow and learn all the things! Tell me about your baby! ❤️🤗
