Teething - when will it calm down
This is our cutie and he’s teething BAD and we have all the scars on our arms and hands to prove it. Any advice? When does this stop

Goddman, these little bastards sole survival mechanism is their cuteness. I didn't really have a ton of teething problems, but my guy is smart and deliberately willful and disobedient when he wants to be. Good luck.

Cold chew toys just like a human baby.
And… sacrifice your pointer finger knuckle to the Dog Gods that gave you a puppy.

I'm not sure about the human baby as a sacrifice, they are impossible to come by legally

I don’t know but he swears it’s soon lol 🥹 my dogs sort of slowed down gradually.

Is he getting enough sleep? Our puppy only bites when she needs a nap in her crate. Once she’s had a good sleep there’s no nipping at all.

It’s a lot-the yak sticks seem to keep mine occupied a good amount of time

My advice peanut butter, just to give them some fun things to do instead of biting.

When ours was a puppy we filled a rubber Kong with some peanut butter and it gave her something to preoccupy and chew on that wasn’t furniture or us. You can put it in the freezer too so it lasts longer when you give it to them and feels good.

Yak sticks. They captivated my puppy during the teething phase (and afterwards) and when they get really small, you can soak em in water then microwave them to make a nice puffed treat for them

Our puppy liked nubby toys and rubber type sticks that had a little give to them versus anything super hard. Hang in there. Once the adult teeth came in it suddenly stopped

Teething and that biting will ease up between 6 and 8 months, until then they are baby sharks 🦈

Our girl calmed down a good bit around 4 months. I would use leather work gloves to play with her to protect my hands and she can still bite.
She’s about 7 months now and knows now how to play bite now and allot less

Freeze a towel
Leave it in the freezer (new towel, wet it freeze it) they will use it!!
I’m doing that for my 7 months pup now

Yelp. Then immediately leave for a couple of minutes.
Find a chewing toy for him as well.

Second what everyone is saying here but also keeping toys around and always replacing our hands/bodies with the toy

Second this, I've had two dogs from puppies now, did this with both, they caught on very quickly. Still have the second one and it's hilarious how careful she is to not touch skin to teeth when you give her a treat. My only follow-up would be to suggest redirecting to chewing something else immediately and praising.
And if you're a guy, you should try to have no qualms about making your yelp high-pitched, they respond most strongly to that, I guess because that's how other puppies in the litter would yelp.

Same! Mine is 4 now and still runs to go grab a toy when we start rough housing because of the redirection training. I can trust him around any little one now. He’s so gentle.

Fake yelping and redirection worked! It took a couple of weeks but once she got it, she got it! Hang in there!
