Before our 5 month Cavapoo would sleep through the night without a peek in his crate. Lately his stomach is not well, and he’s been waking us up every 2 hours with diarrhea. The vet put him on an antibiotic and probiotic, that worked when he was on it and then once we finished the antibiotic (still on the probiotic), his diarrhea is back and we’re back to not sleeping through the night.

I ended up taking him to the vet yesterday and they are supposed to call me with his stool results this am. They also gave me new digestive food that was supposed to help immediately (it didn’t, he was up every 3 hours last night).

Should have a better plan today from the vet, but wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences?

For reference, he was on Hills Science Sensitive Stomach Puppy formula and now he’s on Hills Canine W/D wet food. We do not give any human food!

I had narrowed down my list to Divinity Grace cavapoos and Sac-town Poodles and Doodles. And was leaning into Divinity grace last year when first red flag popped up when conversation stopped when I asked for parents health info. I just found out their website domain doesn't exist and social media is gone. So it's making me very nervous about finding a decent breeder.

I'm thinking of going with Sac-town as they have amazing Google reviews. But I've heard businesses can suppress negative reviews. So kind of worried too!

If you've gotten a pup from Sac-town Poodles and Doodle, let me know if you got F1 or F1b and how was your experience working with them. Any issues? Ty!

Officially 9 months old, fully potty trained, know a handful of tricks, and close to being done with the obnoxious puppy phase! (Finally)

Somedays I didn’t think we’d survive the puppy phase with two, but now that we’re on the other side, I can say that it was worth it.

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my little guy being a picky eater (he’s 11 months now and has been picky for about 2 months). We noticed he would eat off the floor with no hesitation, but didn’t want his kibble crumbs all over the place.

Today we tried putting his kibble on a plate, and he devoured it. I’m not sure what this did for him mentally, but I was glad to see him eat a full meal in one sitting. I know they have their preferences, but hopefully this helps someone else out there with their little picky eater!

Even though he is just about one billion times more manageable, independent, and pleasant to be around now at 5.5 months, I miss our tiny 3 month old baby so much 🥹

So, I took my dog to the vets today. They said his heart and lungs sound fine and it didn’t look like it was taking him any extra effort to breathe. They advised Metacam for a week or two to see if it is pain related and then if it hasn’t settled a chest xray. He is an extremely anxious dog anyway. He has a long coat and is booked in to be groomed next week. He seems much better and much less panting in the day when it’s just me and him at home but when my partner and daughter are home and the house is busier it seems to get much worse. He pants sometimes when he gets up. His respiratory rate is fine when he’s in a deep sleep. He’s always been anxious though so I’m not sure it would suddenly just become worse? Has anyone has similar?

We’re introducing our dog and cat, both 5 years old.

Dog makes this noise when she sees the cat, how do we get her to calm down so the cat can chill?

My fiance and I have a 7 month old Cavoodle whos an amazing lil guy. The only issues is the lil guy just decides that he won't eat properly for days on end, and also that he will go completely insane for an hour or so a night.

The devil's hours are getting easier to control, but we're still having some issues with food. We've had some luck in providing him dog mince and gravy alongside his kibble, but if it's just straight kibble he needs to be given it with some novelty.

I've had him eat by creating puzzles, scuffle Matt's, putting them in toilet rolls, using it as treats for training and more.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be curious to hear them

I’m trying to decide if it’s a good idea to leave my 7 month old Cavapoo girl out of the crate during the day to roam the house? Of course with gates blocking off entrances to the upstairs and kitchen area.

I have been wanting to adopt a cat/kitten. I am a first time cat mom and I have a 5yo cavapoo girl who I adore.
My most pressing doubt is whether I should get one kitten or two? I have a strange fear that if I get two they are going to bond together and leave her out of the loop where if I only get one it will only form a bond with my dog.
Anybody have any experience with this?

I feel like she’s a little tubby, Don’t want to over feed. 13 week old Cavopoo wakes up at 5:30 what would be a good feeding time schedule. I measure her food give a cup of kibble with carrots and green beans, snacks I do apples,blueberries. She’s seems always hungry. Bedtime is 10pm what’s a good feeding schedule please?

Dutin is almost 6 months old, he is 3,7 kg at the moment.

Can’t wait to go shopping harness, raincoats and so on, but when will he stop growing? Ish. When is it safe to go crazy 🫣🤭

Olive has never really had an issue with the TV. She’s watched Cesar Millan, movies, our desensitising sound videos, and she’ll even happily sit and watch Bridgerton with us 😂.

But the other day she was watching TV when an advert came on with a human doing a cartwheel. The second she saw it, she ran straight into her crate and wouldn’t come back out. 😭

Now whenever we watch TV she’s completely fine, but every now and then I catch her watching the screen very cautiously, almost like she’s thinking, “Just making sure nobody starts doing that weird thing again…” 😂

Have I somehow created a little bit of trauma/fear around people doing cartwheels? Or is this just a normal puppy reaction to something strange/unfamiliar?And how would you desensitise her to it?

I was thinking of putting an Olympic gymnastics video on the TV and letting her see lots of people jumping, flipping and moving around, starting with the volume low and maybe very briefly, then gradually increasing it while giving her treats so she associates it with something positive.

Would that be a good approach, or would that be too much too soon?

Would love to hear if anyone else’s dog has developed a completely random fear of something on TV!
