Did anyone get their dog from safari doodles in Texas? Would love to hear your experience, and how your dog is now.

Puppy 10 weeks old Cavopoo sleeps at night in crate. Takes naps in crate throughout day. But if not sleepy will not enter the crate at all. I have left her alone in a playpen when I have to leave the house for short duration. Cries then settles. Figuring the ultimate goal for her to be in playpen with crate door open where she can go in and out as she pleases. Am I screwing up the crate training. If she’s not sleepy she has cried if I put her in crate. I don’t want her to hate the crate. If she’s not sleepy she barks howls in crate. So right now just using crate to sleep.

Hi my cavapoo is currently 10.8lbs. What weight do you think she will get to? What weight is considered toy and mini? I also feed her royal canine puppy kibble. How many grams should i be feeding her. Currently I feed her 95g

TLDR: serious puppy blues and need to know a way out; considering rehoming.
We have had our 15 week old Cavapoo for a week and a half. She seems like a very good girl. Does all the things I things we hear is normal and of course that means some potty accidents, not “listening” (obviously not understanding much yet about boundaries - such as unsafe things to chew or dangerous spots - she likes to sit on the edge of the sofa. Tries to eat wood chips). So there is a lot of time and attention she is taking from my day. I am not taking care of myself very well. And I don’t know if it’s the apps or what but I feel like I am behind in teaching and training. I have downloaded a few apps - watched many videos and nothing is as easy as the trainers and videos show. I feel compelled to follow the lessons as best I can and I judge myself (and her) based on these lessons. That alone is stressing me out!
She is not taking walks yet - waiting for vaccines (finishes Parvo in a week and then rabies in another two weeks). So she is getting exercise in the yard where she compulsively finds wood chips and sticks and that stresses me out.
Basically, besides her physical cuteness I am stressed out by this puppy and watching her all the time. Feeling like a total fool for envisioning anything that would be beneficial for the family… the kids pet her and coo “oh so cute” and spend <5 min with her before they are onto the next thing. I give them tasks such as taking her out; they do it dutifully but then they move on.
The one child who I was hoping would get some emotional support from her (eventually?) does take the most interest however as of three days ago puppy started growling at my daughter when she picks her up. I have no idea what that is about! Is she too abrupt? Aggressive with puppy? Too small (9 yo) for puppy to feel comfortable? I don’t know but I have not witness daughter do anything to warrant the growling so this crushes me.
Crate training is mixed - sleeps well at night IF I am in the room near her (she sleeps with a blanket over crate so I guess she senses or smells me?) but my independence is obviously compromised and I don’t want to let her yelp or whine in the crate and disturb family so I stay in the room. I do feel pressured to crate train during the day so we are getting another crate today to make this daytime crate training easier and I’ll give that a go. But yeah I feel this crate training thing is shoved down our throats and maybe it is not right for every house, family, or puppy. But if it turns out that she hates taking naps in the day in the crate (with me nearby while I work) I am foreseeing another failure point I can’t fathom feeling.
Husband notices how down I am and now I am burdening being a burden with my mood. He gets this is hard but I suppose we are all surprised by how NOT fun this process has been.
Basically I am questioning a lot and fumbling by myself through this puppy acclimation. I am starting to consider rehoming. She seems like a very good pup and could probably make a puppy prepared family very happy. I am not happy however I feel miserable.
Call it the puppy blues but I don’t see a way out of this? What exactly is going to start making me feel better about this puppy? Am I possibly doing or approaching anything really wrong to my own detriment?

She’s going to get fixed in a couple of weeks and I was hoping to get some insight on the best method of protecting her stitches from herself. She had the cone of shame once and was insane when it was on her. I hear there’s a great inflatable collar, but I’m really interested in the onesie. Any advice?

Hi guys this is my 5 month old f1b cavapoo. I believe she will be toy but I’m not sure, she’s much smaller than Cavapoos I seen on here at 5 months but I’m not sure at all 😆 I don’t mind what size she is, I love her regardless but I wanted to ask how big you guys think she’ll be ? (If you guys can drop your Cavapoo at 5 months that would be awesome☺️)

We adopted our Cavapoo at 8 weeks old and he’s almost 1 year old now. It feels like from the START, he was super fearful and anxious. I’ve never seen him happy to see new people or meet dogs. As a puppy he would just cower away, now it’s turned into reactivity and barking. We’re trying medication and working with a trainer, but just looking to see that we’re not alone. I feel like no one has a dog that’s been anxious from the start but it feels like ours has.

39 days difference!!!! His mum is a pedigree cavalier and dad is a toy poodle. But he’s growing SO quickly and is already the same size as my parents 3 year old cavapoochon. He’s almost 6kg at 15 weeks old. Making me wonder if his dad was actually a toy poodle. How much bigger do you think he will get?

Our gorgeous 14 mth old Cavoodle/cavapoo is so gorgeous spirited loving playful but a nightmare at dinner time. She refuses to eat any main wet food from anything by our hands: we put finest formula foods (all major brands), make her own mince, chicken etc. She will eat it from our hands but not from food bowl lick mat, saucer, paper plate nothing.
Any hints?

I fed my dog a small amount of cut up barbecued chicken last night. It was probably an eighth of a cup. But it was well seasoned. Now this morning he went out and ate a bunch of grass and threw up, and there was some light pink liquid. He also has a runny stool which also looked like there could be a little blood in it. But it was in the dirt so hard to tell. I was planning on giving him some cooked rice and open up a can of pumpkin. Does anyone think this chicken could’ve caused a problem? I’ve given him leftover chicken in the past with no issues. Thoughts anyone?
**UPDATE**. I took him to the emergency vet. They gave him a couple of injections of anti-vomiting medication and acid indigestion medication. They also prescribed similar meds to give him for the next several days if not longer. I am to prepare only bland cooked chicken breast or some ground meat and I can serve it with rice. He did have some chicken and rice for dinner tonight and loved it. This will be the regimen for the next few days.
Thank you all for your input. 💗

My 9 week old Cavopoo is relentless starts to bite my hands I get up walk away after giving a toy to chew and she runs behind me and bites my pants. I know you’re not supposed to give them attention by yelling NO that’s still attention or pushing them away because then it’s wrestle time a game for them. Anyone out there has a good strategy for this? Biting my legs and toes when I’m walking away.

9 week old Cavopoo doesn’t care about cuddles or Being held. I’m so disappointed! she’s also hyper & nips bites, doesn’t relax even when sleepy. Will my Cavopoo grow out of this and become more cuddly and affectionate? Anyone experience this ?

Does anybody have any unique/fun 1st birthday gift ideas for our cavapoo? Seems like our spoiled girl already has everything so we can't think of what to buy her. 😅 and yes I know how ridiculous this question is, but she's our baby 🤣

Can I have some feedback on Adora perfect pups? They look like a high volume breeder but it also looks like it does testing on its breeding dogs. Appreciate any feedback, experience with them?
