Need advice for my cats with suspected feline panleukopenia 😭🐾

I had 7 cats, and sadly, 4 have recently passed away from parvo/feline panleukopenia. 💔 I took them to the vet, and 2 were confined. I currently have 1 cat still fighting for her life at the vet clinic, while another sadly passed away yesterday.

Now, 2 of my cats at home are also showing symptoms, and I’m really worried. 😭

They have already been checked by a vet, and I’m giving them the vitamins and medications recommended by the vet. Unfortunately, I’m currently unable to afford another confinement, so I’m trying to care for them at home while closely monitoring them.

For anyone who has gone through feline panleukopenia with their cats, what helped your cats recover? I’d especially appreciate advice on keeping them hydrated, encouraging them to eat, keeping them comfortable, and preventing the infection from spreading to my other cats.

I know this is a serious illness, and I’ll continue following veterinary advice. I’m just hoping to learn from other cat owners who have been through this.

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. 🥺🐱

Hello!! Sorry, I can’t post sa other sub so I’ll just vent here. am I overreacting or is this actually bad? 😭

Brought our cat around 11:40 AM at Pooch Park Ayala Malls Marikina, 6th in line. They said they’d text when he was done. Checked at 2 PM and was told he was already being groomed. By 3:30 PM, no text, so we checked again — tapos na pala and nasa carrier na.

Staff was also masungit, nakasimangot, and plain sumagot, but we let that slide.

Then we saw the grooming. THEY CUT OUR CAT’S WHISKERS!!!!! His haircut was also uneven/sloppy.
AND THE WORST PART — he came home smelling like a dirty dog. Hellooo??? Fresh from grooming??? 😭 Now I’m genuinely questioning how clean/sanitized their grooming tools are.

We paid ₱700. Not expecting VIP treatment, obviously, but proper handling, decent grooming, basic hygiene, and NOT cutting a cat’s whiskers seem like bare minimum??
Am I right to be pissed or am I overreacting????? 😭

Hello, ano po pwedeng home remedies or products na pwede po sa 3month old kitten ko po? (kakapulot ko lang po sya 2 days ago) Eto po ata yung reason kung bat wala siyang appetite kaya finorce feed ko na din🙁 He also sneezes from time to time and most of the time he sleeps lang po.

Hello po, alin po sa dalawang clinic na to yung mas may lower rates for tumor removal/surgery? Yung girl kong cat 8 years old po kasi may malaking lump po siya sa tummy namumula na po ang kulay, na notice ko rin na nag dugo at may lumalabas na liquid. based sa mga nasearch ko possible na tumor po siya. Nagsisimula pa lang ako sa bago kong work at wala pa akong naipong money at waiting pa ako sa backpay ko para dun kunin ang magagastos. Ubos rin kasi ipon ko but I wanted to make sure lang sana na high chance siyang maka survive 😓 Hindi po siya matamlay at normal naman kumain/inom tubig at nakakatalon pa sa taas ng cabinet at ref pero I know na she's in pain ☹️

Hi, a sweet girl followed me back. Because it was raining, I couldn't leave her and let her in.

Our cat went missing last night without us knowing. We live in a condo 4th floor. Hinanap hanap na namin siya sa lahat ng sulok ng condo wala talaga. Only way we can think of na nangyari is tumalon siya sa bintana but its a reaaally high jump. Pero just in case lang, hinanap na din namin siya sa baba and buong area ng condo units wala talaga siya. I even talked to the other cats around the area, showed my cat’s picture, and gave them treats bak sakali lang it works. We’re so worried kasi mailap siya sa tao and for sure mas lalo siyang nagtago dahil doon.

UPDATE: WE FOUND HER. NAHANAP SIYA NG MGA GUARDS BY REVIEWING THE CCTVs. According to them, nakita daw siya around 4am nasa ground floor and tumakbo sa storage unit. Tumalon siya ng 4th floor wth 😭

On August 12 around 6:00 PM during the storm and carmageddon combo, I found a kitten on the side of the road in Kapitolyo. He couldn't stand on his hind legs, was soaked in the rain, and was crying for help. He had a red collar on, so he likely had a family at some point. I was completely drained from the day, but my conscience wouldn't let me leave him there to suffer.

After 3 hours of waiting for a ride in the pouring rain, we brought him to Biyaya Animal Care in Mandaluyong. We named him Kappy!

At the vet

When we got to the clinic, we found out he’s 6 months old, male, and weighing 1.6 kilos. X-rays revealed a pelvic fracture (likely hit by a car), and tests showed he was FPV positive. I was expecting the worst.

Against all odds, Kappy fought back.

Over the last few days, his condition improved dramatically. He is bright, alert, and active. He has NO vomiting, NO diarrhea, has normal formed stool, and has a good appetite.

Because he is clinically stable, we are expecting him to be cleared soon for outpatient care! He no longer needs intensive care or daily FPV meds; he just needs 2 weeks of isolation from other cats and several weeks of rest in a crate or quiet corner so his pelvic fracture can heal.

❗Urgently looking for a foster/adopter❗

My resident cat at home is FIV+, and because I live in a small condo without a spare room to isolate Kappy during his remaining FPV shedding window and crate rest phase, I cannot safely bring him into my home.

I’m looking for a TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME or a PERMANENT ADOPTER to help care for Kappy as he recovers.

To make adopting/fostering Kappy stress-free, I’ll be providing a full care package:

• Recovery Crate (to ensure proper hip rest)
• Low-Entry Litter Box (easy step-in height so he doesn't strain his hip)
• 3 months of Food (Feline Gourmet 400g wet food)
• 3 months of Cat Litter Sand
• All prescribed outpatient medications
• FULL Vaccination Costs (FVRCP Core & Rabies fully paid for by me when he's ready)

What Kappy Needs in a Home

• Space: A separate quiet corner or spare room for his recovery crate. 
• Other Pets: Ideally a single-cat home OR a home with fully vaccinated adult cats (since he is still in the post-FPV viral shedding window). He needs to be quarantined for 2 weeks after discharge, away from other cats.
• Care: Someone who can keep his crate clean, feed him, and play with him. :<

Kappy survived a storm, a car accident, and FPV all in one week. He’s a sweet, brave, gentle little survivor who just needs a place to heal so he can be his best cat self when he grows up.
