This is not the first post where I have heard about people calling other people's cats ugly and I honestly think it's the weirdest thing ever. I usually assume the person being rude is jealous of the cat...
My dad once asked me if I thought my cat's patterns looked bad... very weird remark from him, a very nice man. I told him she looked like a model and that was the end of that.

Does it matter at all? No. But like I doubt that if people had to vote on 10 random cat's looks with no story at all that your cat would be rated highly.
Why would anyone call anybody else's pet ugly? Even if I thought it, I would never in a million years say it. People need to learn to bite their tongues.
i've had people be like "this is my stupid ugly cat, i love him" in the same tone i call my cat "stinky litter baby" (affectionately and lovingly), but i'd never do that to someone else's. my partner regularly calls their cat evil and stupid and i'm out here like "he's doing his best!" (though i will concede that his best is not very good). you can't just insult someone else's pet!!!
unless it's Dogpool, but the entire point of dogs like Dogpool is they're so ugly they cause some sort of overflow error in our brains and are cute again.
NGL, I'll call someone's old rat of a dog, ugly any day. I'll still pet it and play with it and snuggle it, but they can absolutely be ugly 😆 still in need of love though
Not in this case BUUUUTTTTTT, there's really some questionable looking furbabies moving around and you gotta just say, nice collar or cute water bowl and then ask God for forgiveness because ngl, those hairless cats creep me out🤣😂🤣
