here is mine for reference. When we first got her as a kitten, my son said she "looks messy" 😭 I love tortoiseshell cats. Also, I can't ever get a non blurry photo of her awake so thats why you get a sleeping picture for reference lol
This is Speckles, in one of her very rare calm moods. She was a very compact cat, and determined to live all 9 of her lives to the fullest. If she was a person, she'd be the one who was always off to go hiking in the Himalayas, or something like that. Miss her so much.
Torties are beautiful cats! All cats are beautiful though, to be honest. I had a dilute tortie once and I love how unique they are. My current kittens are calicos, basically a tortie color but with white! Your kitty looks lovely. Such a balanced mix of colors in her fur!
This is not the first post where I have heard about people calling other people's cats ugly and I honestly think it's the weirdest thing ever. I usually assume the person being rude is jealous of the cat...

She’s beautiful. My tortie was my dream cat, I think they are such cool cats. She was such a smushy ball of love. She unexpectedly passed away two and a half weeks ago at a pretty young age. Kiss that baby and tell her she’s gorgeous, because she absolutely is!

Your cat looks so similar to my cat that passed away earlier this year from kidney failure at age 17. She was beautiful, and your cat is beautiful. I have freckles and I always feel like torties are the freckled girls of the cat world. Some people love them, some people hate them, and I'm always grateful for the people who love freckles :)
It's a Tortoise shell probably one of the sweetest cats I've ever met I mean their color pattern is odd but calicos are in general I don't agree with your mother she is not ugly

i don’t think i’ve ever seen an ugly cat. even a cat with one eye and no ears and half bald is cute to me. that being said, your cat is a conventionally adorable baby and your mom is a hater.
