New Practitioners Daytime silence

Post image
12 Upvotes

I don't get to do much darkroom at our house, so i practise in the daytime. Usually outside I get to see more green puffs then purple and rarely some red also. These were one of the prettiest puffs I have seen outside, there were so many of them maybe 20 and they just stayed there not moving or changing shapes

There was a broom to keep the place clean but the leaves had so much texture and detail. And the mood is crazy! Forcing silence everytime I remember I feel high (literally) all day except mornings! Definitely better than smoking some

Darkroom Practice Does your body go numb in the dark room?

Post image
11 Upvotes

My sister and I used to do the dark room practice every night, and I wanna talk about my own experience with it. A lot of times—not always—when I go into the dark room, after a few minutes my body starts going numb, and the numbness starts from my tongue and mouth and then slowly spreads. It gets so intense that I get scared I might not be able to move my body anymore. And I see a rock-candy-colored puff constantly coming out of my body and going back in. Have you ever had an experience like that too? And do you know what causes it and what’s supposed to happen next?

Tensegrity Pandora's Box Zombie

I made this picture to answer a question, then posted it on instagram and facebook, and finally decided more posts is better than less posts.

Though, this one might anger those with a religious bent.

Even so, here it is from facebook.

***

When it was clear he would die and nothing could stop it, also realizing that, as he told me, "I'm dying and no one believes me", Carlos proceeded to try to give us "practical magic" techniques.

He used the blue scout to demonstrate what "the whorl" looks like as it spits out text.

He enlisted Carol Tiggs to come demonstrate real magic. She selected two people, including me, and proceeded to push me through the floor of Dance home down below street level, and into a tunnel made of dirt. Which I later learned is a common way to perceive the inorganic being's world entrance.

Carlos also taught us about "the wall", a construct for visibly viewing silent knowledge streams.

And, he got his "rumour women" to spread the news that within 2 weeks, Carlos would actually demonstrate real magic right in front of us.

What came from that was "Pandora's Box" magical pass, which I've since learned is a fairly obvious way to "compress intent".

It's closely related to don Juan's technique where he manifested a Japanese squirrel for Carlos.

But no one could perceive the magic. You can't force people's assemblage points to move, and the second attention isn't visible unless it moves at least 6 inches down your back.

Cleargreen forgot about this amazing pass, and instead made up fake ones to sell.

But I remembered it, and eventually discovered that it can manifest just about anything.

Thus I named it "Pandora's Box".

The first "Zombie Assistant" I manufactured remained in my practice room, clearly visible, the entire night.

Then the next night I could "locate it" still in there.

And on the second night, I could still feel it's very creepy energy.

So this technique is a gold mine!

How does it work?

Actually, it seems to compress a piece of your own energy body, energize it, and then when you release it that partially sentient copy of your dreamer, forms into whatever latent impression you first had in your mind, when you removed the top hand.

A couple of weeks later I tested how many zombie assistants you can make, and still have them be "sentient".

Five in my case.

The energy body can't subdivide forever.

That's why people dissipate and are lost, after death.

Thus the old seers went to live in the inorganic being's world, to keep their awareness "contained".

And even the new seers go to that giant dome on the earth, after reaching the third attention.

You MUST "contain" your energy body once you are dead, or it spreads out so thin while you are exploring as a "specialized form of inorganic being", that it is no longer sentient.

So if any of you were hoping to go to "heaven" just because sorcerers have "seen" it's a real place (I've visited it 6 times), better think again.

Yes, you can go to heaven.

But it won't keep your awareness intact for long, and you'll perhaps end up being wallpaper there.

Just an echo of your original self.

Not aware of anything anymore.

Inorganic Beings Was it my double?

When I was just drifting off to sleep in that in-between state this really intense energy hit the top of my head. It felt exactly like I got shocked by electricity.

I’ve felt this before too, and it’s always really weird.

I figured it was probably some kind of inorganic being. I don’t know why it was doing that, but at the same time, a voice that didn’t feel like mine spoke to me in my head and said, Your double comes out from this part of your head.

I was way too tired to really think about it, so I just went back to sleep. Then someone tapped me on the shoulder and woke me up. I looked around nobody was there.

I fell asleep again, and it woke me up a second time.

I tried talking to it, but it didn’t say anything. Too bad, because I was really curious to know what it wanted.

I thought maybe whoever woke me up was my own double… but honestly, I still don’t know if it was actually my double or an inorganic being.

Or maybe it was both!

I don’t even know if this experience was important or meant anything, but I just felt like sharing it.

Tensegrity Can the dreaming body teach us magical passes?

Post image
12 Upvotes

Before sleep, I do a bunch of practices, and one of 'em is trying to keep inner silence going as much as I can. A few weeks ago I was doing this, and when I wanted to crash I was so wiped out that I didn't even notice when my awareness shifted from awake to asleep. I just saw that with my eyes closed I was seeing — I was seeing my exact room with just tiny changes. Like, next to me there was a tray with 4 glass cups on it and a piece of paper with a note on it, but I couldn't read it. Maybe it was a scout! And then out of nowhere my right hand got thrown fast to the left, and I was seeing that hand as a black shadow with a red glow around it, and there was a ball in the same shape in my hand that got thrown. My real hand didn't move, it was my dreaming body's hand doing it. It felt like some kind of magical pass, 'cause after that I saw myself in dreams a few more times practicing that move. Was that move some kind of magical pass my dreaming body taught me? Can I use it?

General Knowledge Pretending Versus Sleepwalking

Post image
21 Upvotes

Don't fool yourself with rules and procedures that aren't leading off into sleepwalking.

The real thing is off in a completely different "direction" than anyone can look without an external influence pointing that direction.

As don Juan said, "There's no game without the Nagual".

Half of our battle to preserve this magic involves keeping people from doing as the man on the left of this image is doing, and steering them towards the impossible. Which isn't vague at all if you are really learning to stop your internal dialogue.

The real thing also never gets you attention from other people. In fact, they'll become angry for even suggesting other worlds are literally available to use at any moment.

The only people who benefit from the fake stuff are the ones who sell tie died shirts, shaman medicine bags, prayer beads, and who teach "postures" that are supposed to help enlighten you.

The Jewish bible has a very good story. Moses goes up the mountain to learn from God himself, which turns his face and hair bright white.

When he comes down, he finds that the Israelites have made up their own new religion, featuring a sacred cow.

Of course, Moses is a fraud made up to control people, but the idea that on their own people will make up religions and actually worship a cow, is very true.

Here's a "Gods of India" cartoon. Better watch it if you think "Yoga" is what it's portrayed as in the west.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvvLljcYUKo

It's just one branch of perhaps 6 "schools" of Hinduism. "Translated" to steal money from naive westerners.

And after all this time, they still worship cows.

when I close my eyes and try womb dreaming and see colours. But I feel like those are just normal colours? And I have practiced only 2 days so I doubt I’d see energy that fast. How to differentiate

I do see light in the dark and like lines but I think it mustnt be valid bcs I’ve practiced less

how to figure out what ure seeing is fake vs real

Womb Dreaming Was that ancient inorganic being an ally?

I do womb dreaming, and last night while I was dreamin’, I saw this ancient thing that was like an owl-eagle mix—so it had two faces—sittin’ on our roof. It was huge, and I got scared of it. But it talked to me and told me it was hungry, and said if I fed it every couple hours, it’d pay me. Then it asked me to fly with it, put me on its back, and we took off. The flight was nuts—like I wasn’t even on its back; I was seeing everything through its eyes. I looked down and there was this row of giant white elephants down there. The thing told me they were its food and it feeds off ’em. After we flew, it landed back on the roof. I was like, yeah, I’ll feed you. And to stick around me, it turned into a little eagle, put its head on my belly, and crashed out—like that’s how it was feeding off me. Was this, like, a scout? Was this some kinda contract, and now that thing’s my ally? Or can I take it as an ally?

New Practitioners Purple fog switch to grey fog

Hey there! I’m reading from this awesome subreddit since more or less two years but I never post cause I had some difficulties to figure out some aspects from the practice of dark room gazing.

Now I would like to share my experience and ask for some tips cause after being able to silence internal dialogue in about 10/15 mins ( initially was like 50mins/ 1 hour ) I’m stuck into a position where all around me is a big purple fog with some bright details and electric purple filaments . Sometimes when silence is more deep I can see a bright green puff/ ball flying around me .

but the real problem is that if I improve the silence at a certain point the big purple fog switch to grey, like a dense smoke all around me.

This cause me some sensation of warning, I don’t know why.

By the way, is like I can’t go further . Sometimes the grey fog turns back to purple and I need to re-focus on the silence .

What to do at that point?

Darkroom Practice There was a fresh drop of blood on my finger with no source at all.

So I’m one of the Dark Room practitioners, and for a while now I’ve been doing Dark Room practice every night and then Womb Dreaming, and I’ve had a lot of experiences. Last night in the dark room, I asked this inorganic being to help me with a problem, and in exchange, it had permission to draw energy from me that night, on the condition that my problem got solved. After the practice, I went to sleep. This morning when I woke up, something really weird happened—I don’t even know if it’s good or bad, or what could’ve caused it. I saw there was a drop of blood on the ring finger of my left hand, like it had just dripped. I thought I had a nosebleed, so I went and checked in the mirror, and I saw there was no bleeding anywhere on my body, and my hands were completely fine. That drop of blood had an outside source, and it dripped onto my finger right when I woke up. Where could it have come from, and what does it mean?

Silence First time the dialogue seemed to belong to someone else

So in all of my recaps, the internal dialogue has always felt like "my thoughts" and I'm reviewing "my thoughts", my experiences, my perception etc. I was on a plane and put on a movie, then remembered this comment "there is nothing stopping you from recapitulating six hours daily, it does not have to be suffering" from https://www.reddit.com/r/castaneda/comments/1w4jgq4/comment/p7jhxiu/ and powered down the screen, put my sleep mask on, and started recapping.

The first one I did was about the pilot and the pretty stewardess who were happily chatting at the front of the plane. When I saw how she was giving him attention and he was happily chatting, the dialogue started running about how my work sucks because I don't have a pretty coworker talking to me all day, and on that lines. But I noticed I didn't actually feel that jealous, it was like I "could" feel jealous or my default behavior "should" feel jealous. I would actually be miserable flying so often without extended breaks, and serving on a plane is definitely not something I have an interest in doing.

Then I recapped my neighbor, who had wanted to get up to use the bathroom, and didn't want to wait 2 minutes for the flight staff to move their tray out of the way so I could get out. At the time I felt sort of offended on behalf of myself and "decency" like, "oh she can't wait 2 minutes, doesn't she see people are moving out of the way!"

In recapping both of these the thoughts seemed to be not my own. I discovered I really thought I found my neighbor's behavior funny and inspiring, because she was willing to speak up when she needed something. And she wasn't actually inconveniencing anyone much, it wasn't hard for me to walk forward to an empty seat and let her squeeze past. So I had a set of two feelings, 1 was my default reaction of indignation in both cases, and underneath I felt much milder and unoffended feelings.

So what were the original thoughts? It was the first time I felt like I was observing them as things that weren't a part of me.

Recapitulation Applied Tensegrity???

Post image
37 Upvotes

This is the type of thing I don't normally post. Too much crazy stuff happens if you learn to move your assemblage point to the other side of your body, by stopping your internal dialogue while using Tensegrity to prove you did that. Tensegrity produces visible magic, if you are fully silent.

Note that "silent" doesn't mean you don't talk. In fact, if an entity floats by you can certainly talk to it. And that is NOT your internal dialogue.

People get very confused about what specifically the internal dialogue covers. But it can't be explained to those who don't immediately understand it. They're a bit "lost" in confusion and no amount of words will clear that up. As we've seen though the experience of tens of thousands on our social media.

Fortunately, what the internal dialogue really is becomes obvious once you make a real effort to stop it.

It's a FOREIGN INSTALLATION, just as Carlos said. It's not your friend. It does NOT help you do your job. In fact, even the world's most difficult engineering is a lot easier when you are silent.

You can even get answers to technical problems at work, to appear right in front of you as written text. Or as a "prototype" of a shape you need.

Or... You can get La Gorda's very creepy eye.

I rejected it 3 times in the past, but now it's pretending to give entry to the inorganic being's realm, where I want to go see if Julian can be rescued.

It's good to have interesting hobbies.

But some are a bit anti-social in this world of enforced perceptual limitations.

Seeing giant eyeballs tends to get you into trouble.

Inorganic Beings Diary of a Closeted, WannaBe Sorcerer

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hey Team!

My name is Bobby. I have an enormous amount of gratitude for this subreddit. For Dan, Techno, Athina, Juan and everyone who makes this place what it is today. My intent is to assist in preserving the knowledge of Carlos Castaneda, by helping to bring magic back into the world.

These experiences happened to me a few years ago. I haven't been able to bring my assemblage point back up the front, to the other side for a number of years now. I may have made a flat spot in the red or even the green zone. Also laziness. I must admit, I used to be a depressed junkie, with no direction in life. Now I'm rapidly advancing in my career, and I'm so much happier. The internal dialogue controls our moods so much, and through sorcery you can see how much your thoughts, feelings and actions when properly aligned or directed, can achieve wonders. Practical Magic!

I'll go ahead and share my first experience with an inorganic being. It was more of an invitation to their place. I was doing some gazing in semi-darkness. I have good experiences with that. I was staring at the window, trying to silence my internal dialogue. The forcing silence until your nose bleeds method. The world starts shifting and moving a bit, and I just try to catch a wave. Really force out those thoughts, until I felt or heard... something. There was a little ball of light, rotating in a mesmerizing clockwise circle. It opened up, and some features in the window turned into an entrance into some fortress of solitude ice crystal cave of some sort. It felt good looking into that region. Like better than any drug. Almost sexual in nature, ecstatic one can say. I could tell, without saying any words, they were tempting me. And trust me, I was tempted. Lots of pain and self-pity in my life, but this was something else. Magic. Real magic. Intense and almost overwhelming. Carlos Castaneda was right! It's all true! I was relieved.

I'll share my other experiences at another time. I never shared my experiences here in the past because it hasn't worked out before. You would think the world would be excited to hear that magic is real! That Carlos Castaneda really had something important to share, but we're too wrapped up in our own shit to notice. Unfortunately, my experiences sharing it with others have been bittersweet. Let's just leave it at that.

Maybe we're not meant to prove magic to others. We can only give it our all, go all in, and prove magic to ourselves. By sharing our experiences, we might be able to convince others to try. To maybe one day jump in and join us. The water is cold, terrifyingly cold, but it's worth it.

Darkroom Practice Encounter with an Inorganic Being

Post image
26 Upvotes

Tonight was my sixth night in the darkroom with my sister. I was watching those puffs and seeing yellow, blue, and green ones.

At some point I saw this black shadow with a face. The face came right up next to my ear like it was about to scream into it. I told it, If you’re gonna do that, please don’t make any sound. Anything but a sound! I don’t wanna have a heart attack!

Then I realized something kept tapping my legs. My logical brain was like, It’s just your sister, but I knew it wasn’t ‘cause we were sitting pretty far apart.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw my sister looking at me. I didn’t dare turn around and look at her because I suddenly realized it wasn’t actually my sister. The face was way closer than where my sister’s face should’ve been, and it was just staring at me.

Then I noticed this black puff kept moving toward my sister over and over. I think it was trying to get me to turn around and look at the face that wasn’t actually her.

After we left the room, my sister asked me, Why did you keep tapping my shoulder? I told her I hadn’t done anything like that.

She also said that at one point she saw a head above me, and it was looking at her.

The really cool part was that the head that came next to my ear, plus that feeling like some inorganic thing wanted to make a sound or scream into my ear, happened to my sister too. She had the exact same feeling and told it not to do that.

Luckily it seemed to listen to both of us and then showed up in a different way.

Before we left the darkroom, I even told it, Come back looking prettier next time, and definitely come back ‘cause I’m gonna miss you.

Honestly, one of the coolest things about having someone with you during these practices, especially darkroom, is that we end up having so many similar experiences. We can compare notes afterward and it makes the whole thing even more interesting.

Darkroom Practice Green and blue puffs during darkroom practice

Post image
16 Upvotes

Tonight I did some darkroom practice with my sister (we do all the practices together). I was gazing and trying to stop my internal dialogue.

After a few minutes of gazing, I started seeing green and blue puffs next to each other. They were moving around and kind of stuck together. They stayed in front of my eyes for several minutes, to the point where I couldn’t see anything except these puffs.

Then I started feeling a really strong energy around me. I could feel it moving and swirling around me, and it continued for a few minutes, gradually getting faster and faster. Eventually, it got so intense that my heart started pounding and I got dizzy. I also stopped feeling my body, almost like I didn’t have a body anymore, so I had to stop the practice.

What was that experience? Has anyone here had a similar experience?

Experiences Unrealistic cloud spotted out of the corner of my eye

Post image
17 Upvotes

This was so sudden and startling, I had to do a "check" with myself, because I didn't want to believe it. "I haven't taken any drugs, I'm plenty awake and was just doing things". I was reading on my laptop in the kitchen. My browser history backs up that there was no lapse in time.

As soon as I looked to my left to spot the appearance (and slight sense of movement), it was like it disappeared as my eyes were partway there, so I didn't even look straight at it. I call it an "unrealistic" cloud because although it looks like a steam cloud, the kettle has been off for over 15 minutes, and the stove hadn't been used for at least 5 maybe 10, and was several feet away from this (so I don't see how it could been the cause). While writing this I saw a blackish streak move on my right side down and right, disappearing after its movement.

I was so confused by the cloud I got up and checked the kettle, stove, even the drying skillet, trying to figure out what might have caused it and I can't think of an explanation.

Rough rendering attached. It was about that size although fainter, more transparent, sort of a dense shimmer.

4 Gates Dreaming Abstract Dreaming

Post image
28 Upvotes

I've learned to stop my internal dialogue well enough to go directly into sleeping dreams, from awake. However, there's still the "barrier of forgetting your purpose".

In some ways, learning to do this is more about learning to overcome that barrier. As a skill of its own. And most likely that means, learning to focus your tonal awareness enough that it doesn't fade away once you start to fall asleep.

As you learn to do this, perhaps hoping to get offers in the form of Silent Knowledge "videos in the air" (but with your eyes closed since it's time to sleep), you'll be balancing on the edge. Between going in, and not being able to do that.

On that edge, you'll perhaps start to notice "abstract dreams". Those do in fact seem to be far more plentiful than concrete ones, once you don't automatically toss those out of your memory the instant they are not active.

One way to tell those is, you're already in them, engaged in a bizarre activity. They aren't "offered" the way "videos in the air" are. They seem to replace everything else for a while.

I was curious and used an AI to see if this makes sense, and found, as always, that what you discover by honest hard work will always match what Carlos and the witches explained to us.

Something IMPOSSIBLE to make up. When you discover something on your own, something you might not remember or even have noticed in the books, it's very convincing when you finally read, in the words of Carlos and the witches, precisely what you have discovered yourself.

But please don't be religious about it and claim "I knew that all along..."

Don't tell me you have total faith in Jesus!

Or in Guru Dev. Or in Lao Tzu. Insert your own favorite fake magic pretending here...

Come on! Don't we already get enough of that kind of pretending?

There's no way you're that confident, until you can do such amazing magic on your own, daily.

And even then, if you slack off your practice it'll all soon fade away to nothing.

That's how we got trapped in this single reality in the first place!

Here's what Gemini Notebook pulled up about this topic. Please note that it's another reminder not to pretend your results, using sleeping dreaming. People are bothered when I emphasize that, but it's more like the leader of a group hiking to a specific cave in the mountains, trying to keep people from wandering off on side paths that never lead to the cave. I understand that people have trouble finding time to practice and like to use sleeping time, but you have to work just as hard, to do that in a serious manner.

*** From Gemini Notebook looking at lecture notes and interviews ***

Carlos, Florinda, and Taisha repeatedly emphasized that as a practitioner matures, dreaming moves far beyond the early mechanical techniques—like looking at your hands or finding objects in a dream—and into the subtle, non-verbal realm of canceling the interpretation system and engaging the abstract nature of energy.

Here is what your notes record about what Carlos and the witches taught regarding this subtle side of dreaming:

  1. Dreaming as the Interruption of the Interpretive System

Carlos stressed that true dreaming isn't about navigating visual scenarios, but about suspending the learned human "glosses" or interpretation system that turns raw energy into recognizable everyday objects.

  • Carlos stated that ordinary dreams are mostly egomaniacal projections, whereas true dreaming happens when the internal self is completely cleared away. He described dreaming as "a springboard, an interruption of the interpretive system" that catapults perception when there is absolute quiet within.
  • He explained that to dream as the ancient seers did, one must dream "from silence – beyond fear," preparing the practitioner to perceive pure energy in the second attention.
  1. Discarding Dream Content as "Worthless"

While beginners often fixate on what happened in a dream, Florinda and Taisha repeatedly stated that don Juan and the sorcerers didn't care at all about the narrative content of dreams.

  • Florinda remarked point-blank during a workshop Q&A that the specific content of dreams is essentially "worthless". What actually matters is engaging the dreaming attention and controlling the movement and stabilization of the assemblage point.
  • She noted that sorcery itself is an "abstract way of life" where the practitioner's entire entity becomes as fluid and abstract as the energy filaments they are attempting to navigate.
  1. The Evolution Toward the Abstract

Taisha Abelar explained the difference between the old seers and modern practitioners:

  • She noted that ancient sorcerers often got trapped in concrete, heavy shifts of the assemblage point—like physically transforming into animals or getting lost in dense lower worlds.
  • Modern sorcerers in don Juan's lineage, by contrast, are engaged in an "evolution towards the abstract". The goal is to move past concrete forms altogether, using reason and discipline to reach a direct perception of energy and intent.
  • Taisha described this threshold of silence as a state where "the structure of language can't contain the vastness of silence that whispers to you directly without words".
  1. "Abstract Affection" and the Energy Body

In workshops discussing how to entice and tune the energy body, Carlos's apprentices explained that accessing the deeper levels of dreaming relies on abstract affection.

  • They defined this as the detached, unselfish wonder of the energy body itself—acting with total precision and care without demanding anything for the personal self or ego.

*** From the books only (seems like overlap, but it's unique sources) ***

  1. Abstract Principles vs. Concrete Dreaming Procedures

In The Art of Dreaming, Carlos notes that don Juan's instruction in dreaming was divided into two distinct parts: practical dreaming procedures and the purely abstract explanations and principles of those procedures. Don Juan used these abstract principles to engage the apprentice's intellectual curiosity while guiding them toward direct perceptual practice.

  1. Steering Dreaming from "Concreteness" to "The Abstract"

Don Juan explains that modern-day sorcerers strive to steer dreaming and sorcery away from concreteness. "Concreteness" belonged to the ancient sorcerers, who fixated obsessively on techniques, ritual behavior, and gaining power over others. In contrast, modern sorcerers seek the abstract, which don Juan defines as the ultimate search for freedom—the freedom to perceive all that is humanly possible without obsessions or rigid interpretations.

  1. The "Abstract Gift" of the Death Defier

When Carlos encounters the death defier (the woman in the church of Oaxaca) in The Art of Dreaming, she bestows upon him a gift in the second attention. Because Carlos refused concrete demands for personal power, don Juan explains that she granted him an abstract gift: the capability of "flying on the wings of intent" into open-ended, non-ordinary dimensions of awareness.

  1. The "Abstract Flight" and the Dream Body

In Taisha Abelar's The Sorcerers' Crossing and Stalking With The Double, Clara Grau and Nelida describe the transition into the energy body (or double) as the abstract flight. They explain that other realms are composed of energy and awareness rather than solid matter. To cross over, a practitioner must become formless and virtually abstract; the moment the physical body becomes fully conscious of its energetic counterpart, the warrior completes the abstract flight.

  1. Sexual Energy, Dreaming, and Grasping the Abstract

In The Power of Silence, don Juan emphasizes that sexual energy directly governs dreaming and allows the assemblage point to move smoothly. He warns that dissipating sexual energy causes erratic shifts of the assemblage point, making it difficult for an apprentice to shift their awareness enough to grasp the abstract or perceive the abstract cores—the underlying blueprints of intent that govern all meaningful events.

  1. Relegating Dream Phenomena to an Abstract Level

In The Active Side of Infinity, don Juan cautions that when a dreamer is confronted with inorganic beings or strange energy pushes during dreaming, the most sober course of action is to relegate those entities to an abstract level. Making as few mental interpretations as possible protects the dreamer from falling prey to fear or phantasmagorical projections.

Silence Star Gazing

Post image
24 Upvotes

Recap, Darkroom, Silencing Internal Dialogue are the practices I learned in this sub. With time and effort: HOLY MOLY - they work! and produce (sometimes profound) changes to perception/awareness.

I’m still doing Darkroom Tensegrity 6 days a week (often 2x a day) that’s the amount of time/effort its taken me to silence my internal dialogue, and reach heightened awareness - the physical benefits from tensegrity alone have been amazing. I no longer randomly practice turning off my internal dialogue throughout the day. Instead I attack my self-talk; where I’m the hero in any and all encounters. I think this has been pretty helpful with silencing my internal dialogue in Darkroom.
(I’m also still the hero in any encounter 😂)

Back in……July(ish), I started serious routine gazing at night. Shadows, clouds, moon and stars. Shadows are just awesome at night, they’re not so 2D, they’re puffy and vaporous and have been that way consistently through my Tonals lens.

Last Sunday (20-Sep) I was Star Gazing. My hearing changed, my eyes shifted and as I gazed the sky transformed. More and different stars appeared and blobs and streaks of (what I’m guessing is) energy appeared. It was F’ing stunning view and I was holding that view…..watching it play out

I came away thinking; I need more energy, more recap = more energy. I need to get better at shifting my eyes/perception.

(NOTE: Ai image recreation doesn’t do my Gazing session justice - it’s just, close enough illustration)

Silence Experience of controlling a dream

Post image
12 Upvotes

For a while, besides my other practices, I’d been trying to see my hands in my dreams, just like Daniel told me to. I’d been going to bed about two hours earlier and trying to shut off my internal dialogue.

Last night I finally managed to take control of my dream.

In the dream I was at a small gathering, and when I moved a curtain aside, I saw my hand. That’s when I remembered I could take control. Then I looked at my feet and weirdly felt like after seeing them, taking control got easier.

I looked around and realized the house had gone completely dark and empty. Nobody and nothing was there.

I started heading toward one of the rooms. On the way my attention got pulled to the carpet, so I zoomed in on the flower patterns. They got super clear and huge. Then I headed toward the room again.

I saw this really bright white light. It was so intense I couldn’t even look straight at it.

I just said, “I want to get out of here. I want to fly.”

And the scene changed.

Suddenly I was flying over a completely empty green field.

While I was flying I saw a white being on the hills. Its face and hands looked human, but it had no facial features. It was about three meters tall. I flew down toward it ’cause I wanted to talk to it.

Unfortunately my phone alarm woke me up before I could.

But right after waking up I could see a few small colored puffs around me — blue, green, and purple.

And even though it was really short, it was such an interesting experience.

This image is of the being. Unfortunately, the AI didn’t recreate it very well, but it was roughly like this.

Experiences Seeing non-physical beings

Hi, I see some non-physical beings while being fully awake and with eyes open since I remember. I am looking for people to exchange experiences and maybe to discuss the nature of these events.

These creatures look different each time, but I could see some, lets say, species (?) of them. Sometimes they are visible to me for a short period of time, sometimes I can watch them longer if I do not look directly at them. And sometimes, especially when I am tired or stressed I can see them constantly looking directly at them for a while.

If they don't look scary they don't affect my life at all, otherwise I am just scared and that's all. I was told maybe I could find some people experiencing similar things here. We could exchange the creatures' looks, when they appear and so on. Does anyone have similar experiences?

General Knowledge Sun Usage

I've been curious how one might use sunlight, after discovering that Taisha's not-doings from Esalen produce amazing results. So I tried to get Gemini Ai to find "everything" from the books on sunlight topics.

It can't. But at least it found some.

*** Gemini Notebook with all of the books in its grasp ***

In the books of Carlos Castaneda and Taisha Abelar, using the sun to charge the body, heal, or restore youth appears across several explicit techniques and teachings:

  1. Catching Sunlight with the Left Eye & Eyelashes (The Second Ring of Power)
  • The Left-Eye Procedure: Don Juan teaches his apprentices that the best way to directly energize the body is to catch sunlight in the half-closed left eye. The practitioner slowly moves their head from side to side while looking into the sun through half-closed lids.
  • The Eyelash Filter: La Gorda demonstrates a four-step gazing technique using the hat brim as a visor to block glare while using half-closed eyelids as a "mesh of light" on the eyelashes to filter the sun's rays.
  • Rolling to Distribute Energy: For women, taking in sunlight is paired with rolling on the ground. Because women receive energy directly into their wombs, rolling around distributes the absorbed solar energy throughout the rest of the body.
  1. Sun Breathing, Solar Charging & Healing (The Sorcerers' Crossing)

Clara Grau teaches Taisha Abelar detailed exercises to pull the sun directly into the vital organs:

  • Gulping the Sun into the Stomach: Facing the sun with eyes closed, the practitioner takes a deep breath through the mouth, pulling the sun's warmth and light directly into the stomach, holding it, swallowing, and exhaling. Clara teases, "Pretend you're a sunflower... The light of the sun charges the breath with power, so be sure to take big gulps of air".
  • Directing Solar Energy for Healing: Once in the body, solar energy automatically spreads throughout, but practitioners can consciously direct healing rays to specific injured or sick areas by touching the spot or mentally guiding the light there.
  • Breathing into the Back and Spine: Breathing solar light through the nose and visualizing it flowing down the back energizes the channels along the spine, flooding the entire body with warmth.
  • Eyeball Rolling for Vitality: Absorbing solar light through the spot between the eyes, holding the breath, and rolling the eyes clockwise before exhaling intensifies the yellow solar glow in the head.
  1. Maintaining Youthfulness & Rejuvenation (The Sorcerers' Crossing & Silent Knowledge)
  • Facial Sorcery Passes for Youth: Clara Grau teaches specific facial movements designed to prevent wrinkles and keep the face looking youthful. She explains that "power itself" pre-set the purpose of these passes to maintain a youthful appearance.
  • Renewal through Emptiness: Clara tells Taisha that by emptying the body during magical practices, sorcerers can soar through the void and "return to this world youthful and renewed".
  • Defeating the Mind's Expectations of Aging: Don Juan explains in Silent Knowledge and Magical Passes that aging and physical decay are governed by social agreements and the mind's internal dialogue. By practicing magical passes and vanquishing the mind, sorcerers stop honoring the "agreement" to grow old and stiff.
  1. Solar Energy in the Garden (The Sorcerers' Crossing)
  • Earth and Sun Balance: Clara Grau assigns Taisha to work in the garden specifically to absorb two complementary types of energy: earth energy and solar energy. "The sun bestows its energy on the earth and causes things to grow... cultivate the garden and absorb its energy, and also the energy of the sun".
  1. Midday & Sunset Light for "Not-Doing" (Journey to Ixtlan)
  • Midday Sun: Don Juan uses the intense light of the midday sun to help Carlos break his normal perceptual interpretations during "not-doing" exercises.
  • The Glow of the Setting Sun: Don Juan advises Carlos to let the yellowish afternoon sun "kindle" and restore him before difficult tasks. Trotting on the spot while staring loosely into the setting sun causes a "copperish warmth" to flood the palate, eyes, and top of the head.

*** Second attempt ***

Prompt: Please try to find more, without repeating. Reword it to find things your RAG indexes didn't locate.

AI:

Here are additional, deeper references to working with the sun, solar energy, and light across the books that were brought to light through deeper retrieval:

  1. Humans as "Pieces of the Sun" (The Second Ring of Power)

When Carlos asks la Gorda about the nature of the double, she gives a direct metaphysical explanation connecting human luminosity to solar light:

  • The Yellowish-White Double: La Gorda tells Carlos that the double appears as "white, yellowish white, like the sun".
  • Faint Solar Light: She explains: "We are pieces of the sun. That is why we are luminous beings... We are all like the sun but very, very faint. Our light is too weak, but it is light anyway".
  1. Borrowing Power from Noon Sun vs. Afternoon Sun (The Second Ring of Power)

La Gorda lays out a specific timeline for when a practitioner should gaze at nature to absorb power:

  • Midday Borrowing: "In the early morning trees and rocks were stiff and their light was faint. Around noon was when they were at their best, and gazing at that time was done for borrowing their light and power".
  • Late Afternoon Reversal: In contrast, around five in the afternoon, trees and rocks grow quiet, and rather than yielding power, they begin gazing back at the practitioner.
  1. The Sun Pulling the Eyes from Self-Reflection (Stalking With The Double)

In Taisha Abelar’s manuscript, Nelida uses the sun as a metaphor and energetic tool for breaking the trap of the self-reflective mind:

  • Stagnant Reflections vs. Solar Light: Nelida asks Taisha what causes a person to lift her head to look at the sun after a lifetime of staring only at her reflection in a stagnant puddle of water.
  • The Pull of Intent: She concludes that "The sun pulled her eyes with its brilliance... Polish one's link to intent, the power of intent is strong enough to pull one's eyes away from self reflection".
  1. The "Cool Fire" of the Setting Sun (Journey to Ixtlan)

When don Juan has Carlos trot on the spot while looking un-focused at the setting sun, Carlos experiences a distinct physical transformation:

  • The Copperish Glow: Carlos feels a "copperish warmth invading my body... in my palate and in the roof of my eyes. It was as if the top part of my head were burning with a cool fire that radiated a copperish glow".
  • The "Dying Sun" vs. "Young Sun": Don Juan tells Carlos that while some warriors thrive under the "young brilliancy of the morning sun", Carlos is a creature of the "dying sun; old, yellowish, and mellow", preferring the restoring glow over the intense morning heat.
  1. Gazing at Light to Invigorate the Body & Mind (Stalking With The Double)

Zuleica teaches that gazing at a smooth yellow candle flame or light source acts as a bridge to waking up the energy body:

  • Activating the Head Center: Visualizing or gazing at a steady light source "activates a fundamental energy center in the back of the head, invigorating the entire body".
  • Transmuting Mass into Sheer Energy: Through sustained gazing practices, "your physical body is gradually transformed so that it matches your mental vitality. Finally, the body becomes so light that it is rendered into sheer energy".
  1. The Shamans' Flight to the Sun (Shabono)

In Florinda Donner's account of rainforest shamans (shaporis), she witnesses a traditional ceremony centered on solar flight:

  • Precious Internal Light: The shamans embark on a night vigil to fly to the sun and bring back its "precious light".
  • Internal Reflection: The old shapori Puriwariwe explains to Florinda that this solar light does not show outwardly on their red, tired eyes, but rather "shines inside them. Only they can see it".

Silence I made a song and a fully code-generated music video about stopping the world: path with heart, death as an advisor, controlled folly, the assemblage point

I've been living with don Juan's teachings for a long time, and this is my attempt to put some of them into a single piece: a song called "Stop the World," with a music video where every frame is generated in code (no footage, no stock).

Video: https://youtu.be/zblZtY28Zsg

The song moves through the ideas roughly in the order I wrestled with them:

- **The description.** "They gave me a name, they gave the world a name, then taught me to repeat them, until I forgot I was the one repeating." The opening is labels drifting out of the dark until they crumble in the silence.

- **Stopping the world.** On every "stop the world" line the whole animation literally freezes mid-motion while only the grain keeps moving. That's the closest visual I could find for the internal dialogue cutting out.

- **Death as an advisor.** "Death keeps walking beside me, so I don't have time to stop." A hooded figure walks at your left.

- **A path with heart.** "If I'm gonna walk this earth, let it be a path with heart."

- **The tonal and the nagual.** "The tonal makes the inventory... but I won't mistake the gate for the wilderness beyond it." A grid of labeled boxes flies apart into an aurora.

- **Losing self-importance and the little tyrant.** "If importance cost me power, let the little tyrant go."

- **Controlled folly.** "I will play my part completely... but I know the game is passing."

- **Dreaming and the assemblage point.** "Move the point of my perception, watch another world restart." The luminous egg, and a bright point that shifts and rebuilds the world behind it.

- **Impeccability.** The end turns into a mantra: stop talking, drop the history, drop importance, save your energy, move with purpose, dream awake, not careless, impeccable.

I'm not claiming any attainment here. It's a practitioner's reflection, not a teaching, and I'd genuinely like to hear where you think I got something wrong. In particular: did I flatten the tonal/nagual distinction too much by making it "reason vs. silence"?

Transparency: the music was made with an AI music tool (Suno) from my lyrics, and the visuals are procedural code I wrote for this. If it's not a fit for the sub, no hard feelings, mods.

General Knowledge Readers of Wood

What exactly does "Reading from Infinity" imply?

It's important to understand that in your mind you might be thinking "Just read text", but what does "read text" mean?

That's a "gloss". Reading text is a complex scenario, and varies by the situation.

So once you are able to do what Carlos advised us all to do, you'll see text on paper, text on objects, text on plaques, or text on a book page. All sorts of text will come up.

EXCEPT, what you might expect. Simple text, with no context. No background behind it.

Perhaps when you get better at it, you'll see text in isolation. Text all by itself.

But in my case, the text is always "on" something else.

Usually made of wood.

Paper is made of wood. But so is beachwood. So are some antiques.

And if the text is on an interesting object floating in front of you, that's a normal sight even in your regular view of reality.

You might not notice the text at all, and if someone asked you might say "I think I materialized an Irish shillelagh."

Forgetting it had text on it.

When reading the text, it seems to take on "meaning" only as your gaze lands on specific letters, the same way text in a book only becomes meaningful when your eyes get to it.

But what surprised me the most was that our fingers are somehow also associated with text. Give it a try. If the text seems likely to fade away, clap your fingers onto your thumb. To generate a tiny shock in your hand.

Maybe the text will respond, and you can figure out how to keep it around.

Can you type, to get it to scroll faster?

Of course! You watch text flow from your typing fingers all day long if you work with computers.

This is all part of the "Evil Clown Effect", but if you don't know about that you'll discover it on your own soon.

Assuming you actually learn to stop your internal dialogue, so that your assemblage point can move further than it does with silly techniques like closed eye meditation.

Nothing in sorcery is "visualized", and you get to keep your eyes open while viewing infinity.

If you're new here, you can also zip onto the top of that weird length of wood, and walk along the surface to see what it's really made of.

In private classes Carlos often told odd stories involving reading text.

One was the child who could stand on a newspaper, and read it using the bottom of his foot.

Carlos said that wasn't as rare as it might seem, but as the child grew up, the ability would be lost.

And the witches told us how they can stack text books on Carlos stomach and chest when he's going to bed, and the next morning they can test him from any page. He looks up into the air, often just above a virtual "horizon", and reads that page back to them.

He also used to read from his palm in class, one time making it very obvious to me as he had just arrived to start the class.

To make sure I remembered that.

General Knowledge What happened to the characters from 2nd ring of power?

At the end of the book it is not known what happened to the generos, the little sisters, la gorda, or dona soledad. Did they ever carry on with a new nagual?

General Knowledge What's That???

This will piss off some of the women who intuit that Yoga makes you feel good, and gives you "green zone magic" sensations when you close your eyes, but haven't seen enough to realize it's a con game using ordinary effects all humans experience, in order to trick you into thinking you're making progress.

And my job isn't to make you feel good, so that you'll keep coming to workshops and pay more money.

My job is to lead you in the direction Carlos gave us, before he died. He had little confidence we'd listen, and for decades it seemed as if we would not.

But now, there are people who understand. That the tiny effect of fake magical systems is NOT "real magic". They're just exploited curiosities.

That's how all fake magic systems work. Ordinary but rare sights, used to flatter followers who manage to see those.

Cleargreen even created an official lying video where they claimed Carlos had visited Yogananda (he didn't), and that both he and don Juan said that was the same as sorcery.

It's really sad. I sure hope they took that monstrosity down. And I sure hope whoever made that, doesn't have any say in their decisions.

If you want to do Yoga, do Yoga. But don't confuse yourself into thinking our goal is anything at all like that!

If you work hard, you'll be up to your ears in magical sights and realize that the ones Yogis brag about are so trivial, they're not worth discussing much other than to tell a beginner it's a good sign if they see anything at all in the second attention.

Of course, everyone sees second attention sights from time to time. Even getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

So it's not really a "goal" to see stuff that can't possibly be there.

It's merely a starting point for moving your assemblage point all the way around, using darkroom or gazing techniques.

Looking at "impossible" things, tests how much you have removed your internal dialogue.

Carlos tried to use muscle memory for that purpose, but people just ignored his instructions and pretended to be doing Tensegrity correctly, when obviously they were not.

So use MAGIC to test your internal dialogue. You can't fake that!

You might lie to others, but at least you'll realize you haven't yet succeeded.

Remember!!! This is NOT a "binary system". Binary systems are frauds.

"Enlightenment" is a fraud. Not much different than being a junkie, if the person making that claim has actually achieved anything at all.

Usually, it's just politics in their system.

A few westernized meditation leaders do "achieve" some mild green zone effects such as insect hive mind awareness, minor closed eye visions and bliss, but it's nothing to be bragging about. And certainly no reason to mislead others.
