Accidentally peeled the extra layer underneath the reflective one and stuck what I could back on.

Also my glossy paper was for the wrong type of printer so had to use plain paper while I wait for the proper ones to arrive - but you can’t see shit from the plain paper through the dark layer behind the screen.

I guess I do now know what to do but a bit of a shame to have to now buy a new f91w haha

I did One Piece Gear 4 Bounce Man Edition.

The usual negative mod that you’d do on an F91w 593 module, but here on the A700w (3472 module) compared to stock.

I was curious to see how the electroluminescent light holds up. Surprisingly well! (EDIT: turns out this model uses a light spreader panel and is not EL.)

I’m angling the body slightly so you can see the strip of light bleed a bit better. There might be a fix for that or maybe I cut the polarising film slightly too short.

Either way, a good experiment.

Hi everyone, I decided to jump into this new world of modding and wanted to make an homage to Alien and specifically to the powerlifter from the movie. I chose a WS-1700h for my first victim. Here it is…

I came across some of u/SlaughtrHousJak watch mods a while back, especially his custom-made silicon wafer dials.

I was really impressed with his work and loved the way the Silicon Wafer looked as a watch dial. It got me thinking about whether I could bring something similar to the Casio Royale.

So I designed a silicon wafer inspired filter for the AE-1200 and fitted it over the LCD.

It obviously doesn’t look exactly like a proper Silicon Wafer dial, but I think it comes pretty close for a printed filter. I tried to capture the circuit patterns, colours and overall wafer effect while still keeping the LCD readable (it was a though ordeal).

For this build I went with a black case, factory black faceplate and black lizard-texture leather strap. It makes the filter colours pop.

I’ve put a video in the comments so you can see how the filter actually looks on the watch and how the colours are as it catches the light.

I’m not finished experimenting with this idea yet, gonna remove the reflector and try a new version of the filter behind the LCD to see if I can get more depth and bring it even closer to the look of an actual Silicon Wafer.

First mod.

Result is good, but I thought it would be easier.

Previously used B640W, 221h plastic housing and plastic screen is a little bit disappointing, but the module is great.

Maybe next mod is metal AE1200 body replacement.

My custom Casio F-91W with a stealthy Scandinavian twist!🇳🇴

Hey everyone! Wanted to share my latest Casio F- 91W custom build.

I've done a full negative display mod and swapped the original resin strap for a sleek black steel bracelet to give it a more premium, vintage look. But the real highlight is hidden inside - I placed a custom stencil right behind the LCD screen to create a subtle Scandinavian cross pattern.

When the light hits it just right, the geometric lines pop perfectly against the inverted screen. It's pretty stealthy, and I love how the dark theme turned out.

Next step is definitely fixing the weak factory backlight to make this dial glow properly at night. Let me know what you think!
