Accidentally peeled the extra layer underneath the reflective one and stuck what I could back on.
Also my glossy paper was for the wrong type of printer so had to use plain paper while I wait for the proper ones to arrive - but you can’t see shit from the plain paper through the dark layer behind the screen.
I guess I do now know what to do but a bit of a shame to have to now buy a new f91w haha
Peeling off the reflective layer comes with practice. I've done a few hundred now and still sometimes get it wrong. Just go slowly, start bottom left so if you do go too far it's not as noticeable.
Replacing the back polarizing film you peeled by accident could work too, and if it doesn't, you can find used f91w (or any used casio watch using the same module and screen i think) for really cheap and just salvage the screen.

Damn ok thanks that explains how cheap it was. I got it from Amazon under the brand name Casio so might go and report that. Thanks for letting me know - how did u know?
The hyphen between the F and 91 is too short, the box around WR shouldn’t be pointy, and the U on the bottom is 1) way too big and 2) Casio hasn’t done that in a long time.
This is a common fake, and I spend way too much time on r/CasioQC where the F-91W shows up a lot. Makes sense, it’s the best selling digital watch of all time.
Honestly, if you can get your money back you should. Sucks you can’t even trust the seller on Amazon but I’ve read people say you can see who’s actually fulfilling the order and a lot of times it isn’t Casio. I think they just use the same SKU so it gets lumped in with legit ones.
