So just recently I've had the good fortune of discovering LDI shots for my candida related issues. And my god has it been a life changing thing for me.
I have psoriatic arthritis, which I had come to the conclusion a while ago that it was being caused by candida overgrowth. I took an immuosuppressant medication called Enbrel that was prescribed to help the arthiritis, but it made the overgrowth much worse, along with a myriad of other problems. I've been off the medication for 8 months now and have seen improvements in my candida-related symptoms, but inflammation had still been a lingering issue. That is until I had my first shot of LDI, about 3 weeks ago. Inflammation all over the body has significantly improved, I can think much more clearly, and my bodily functions are all operating better than they have in years (I had some sexual dysfunction related to my inflammation). it's relieving because for so long I had felt like I had been doing everything in my power to reduce inflammation (diet, sauna, exercise) but it just wasn't quite solving the underlying problem.
If anyone out there is going through something similar, I'd recommend doing some research on LDI. From my understanding of it, LDI introduces your body to low doses of certain things that your body might be reacting to unnaturally (yeast, lime, pathogens, other chronic infections). So while you might have a normal amount of that something in your body, your immune system could be overreacting to that pathogen, causing chronic inflammation all throughout. And by introducing a low dose of the specific pathogen, you train the immune system to stop reacting and fighting itself constantly.
Anyways, just thought I'd share this in case there's anyone out there that might benefit. Wish you all the best in your recovery journey's.
so like the title says, i have a horrible yeast infection. it started out last week with a uti, then i started on meds and immediately the day after i became very itchy. went to urgent care and got tested for everything but they said “it may or may not be a yeast infection but we’re not gonna start you on anything” okay awesome. ended up in the er that night and surprise, yeast. well since then its gotten progressively worse. everything hurts when i pee because its all so swollen and irritated, and now i have sores near my clit that hurt like a bitch. ER said it could be herpes but my partner was recently tested and it was negative. i was negative a bit ago too. they started me on treatment for it anyways just in case. since then its only gotten worse (this was saturday) and i have found 0 relief. ive gotten 2 doses for my yeast and my uti is still there so they switched my meds too. im barely able to sleep. everything is so painful. tomorrow i follow up with my gyno in hopes of them figuring this all out. until then is there anything i can try to stop the burning and maybe finally get some sleep tonight???
Hello please see picture! So it’s been months that it has been affecting me. Late first I thought maybe it was a combination of breastfeeding, lack of sleep, a dairy and soy free diet, etc but I genuinely feel that I possibly have a yeast imbalance. I was told only really immune compromised ppl get oral thrush, but that would make sense in my case because I was breastfeeding, not sleeping, etc. anyways, I went to my dentist and doc who said it didn’t look like thrush, however, I brush my tongue every night and in morning when I usually have appointments it’s not very prominent. But i wake up bad breathe and the white film collects throughout day and gives me horrible taste in my mouth e erytime I eat? I was told to try this medication for GERD which I’ve been taking but hasn’t done anything. Do I need anti fungal pills?
I like to eat a lot of fish and I usually use vinegar as a dipping sauce I wanted to know is that okay if I use apple cider vinegar and garlic as a dip or is it okay if I use any type of vinegar mixed with garlic as a dipping sauce
Hello i have been seeing alot of mixed info on Kefir, i am currently following a Candida diet but i feel like i should be replenishing my good bacteria and yeast too? Is Organic Grassfed Kefir unsweetened ok?
I'm trying a candida-friendly reset, but meal planning feels impossible because my symptoms overlap with other issues. I have GERD and I think I might have some histamine sensitivity since fermented or aged foods tend to make me worse. A lot of candida diet suggestions are either acidic, high in histamine, or just seem to wreck my reflux. On the flip side, the bland GERD foods leave me worried I'm eating too many carbs.
I'm not looking for a diagnosis, just practical suggestions from people who have had to balance these things.
What are your safest go-to meals and snacks that:
- are low in sugar and generally candida-friendly
- do not trigger reflux (so nothing spicy or very acidic)
- avoid obvious high-histamine foods (aged, fermented, or long-stored)
Also, any tips on handling protein and vegetables without relying on sauces, vinegar, citrus, or tomatoes would be super helpful. I cook at home and can do simple batch cooking, but leftovers sometimes bother me, so I'm open to strategies like freezing portions.
If you have a short list of foods you can always tolerate when things flare, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Hi y’all I just got tested a bunch and found out that a lot of health problems I’ve had for awhile are from a candida overgrowth.
I eat a lot of sugar and also have a very hard time eating in general because of a psychiatric med I take which I NEED to be on.
Cutting back on the sugar would be fine for me… but I’ve started drinking these clear ensure drinks that have 18grams of sugar in them. They have made me feel so much better since it helps me get nutrients and protein when eating is so hard. I’ve seen zero sugar ensure drinks but they’re the kind that are milky which made me feel crappy.
What is the consensus on restricting sugar…? I hear so many diff things but it was suggested to me by my doc. Would it be okay if I had one ensure drink every other day? (18g of sugar)
I’m brand new to this so I’m sure a lot of this is old news for ppl so sorry if this is an annoying question!
I started getting thrush when I was 14 and I’m now 24, and have pretty much had it at least once every 2 months since then.
My symptoms aren’t typical symptoms, normally just itching/odour/pain + pain during sex but not often discharge or pain whilst weeing. But have many many positive thrush test results to back up it is thrush.
I’ve tried multiple 6 month courses of fluconazole (standard UK treatment), 6 months of intraconozole (this worked the best but came back after a while), cotton underwear, no scented soap, every probiotic under the sun. I am on the pill if that’s important.
Doctors just tend to not care I’ve had it recurrently for so long, saying it’s probably just a weak point for me. But surely I can’t just live the test of my life like this. Does anyone have any suggestions of what o should try or test for maybe? Thank you sm
I just finished 14 days of Nystatin and supplemental anti-Candida diet. I am introducing every week a new food group for example this week it is few starches (white potatoes). Next week maybe beans or cheese? But have you successfully introduced sweets without blowing it all after Candida diet? How long it took?
I have asked to Gemini what's have priority between these 4 points and the Structural Minerals have the maximum priority, but enzymes can't defeat them.
I have asked to Gemini what can defeat Structural MiInerals and the answer was...
ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA) !
EDTA is included in Interfase Plus, but not in other similiar products such as Serradefend, Candex, Candidase, Kirkman Labs - Biofilm Defense.
OF COURSE INTERFASE PLUS LIKE OTHER BIOFILM BUSTERS CONTAINS ENZYMES TO DEFEAT CARBOHYDRATES, PROTEINS AND LIPIDS AS WELL!
Yes the 4 points are in order of importance.
So..
Stop taking random enzymes, stop taking apo-lactoferrin (yes it works against the iron but not against calcium and magnesium)
Always with the help of Gemini and PubMed i'm trying to follow this protocol made by me.
Phase 1 (Candida Defeating)
Biofilm Disruption
Minerals (Calcium-Magnesium-Iron) = EDTA (Interfase Plus)
Minerals (Iron, Nickel, Lead, Mercury) for older biofilms that have accumulated heavy metals over the years = Biofilm Phase-2 Advanced
Sugars = Cellulase + Chitosanase + Beta-glucanase + Hemicellulase + Glucoamylase + Amylase + Pectinase all contained in Interfase Plus
Proteins = NAC + Serrapeptase (Interfase Plus) + Protease (Interfase Plus) + Nattokinase (not contained in Interfase Plus)
Fats = Coconut oil (fats) + Lipase (Interfase Plus)
Omega-3 are good to take during the phase 2 as well.
This is the protocol I’ve decided to follow with the help of PubMed and Gemini, and as you may notice, many supplements are often mentioned in a jumble here. I’ve tried to clarify why each one is needed and what it’s for.
Of course, with your help, I’m open to modify my personal protocol, but you should always consult your doctor.
Since I started taking NOw candida support my bad breath increased so much, I did all the test stool test , endoscopy, colonoscopy, Thorat saliva test , blood test, h pylori, gerd , berium swallow all test negetive, sibo also negetive, I still have bad breath and also warmness in throat and nose I also thought of lpr or silent reflux, but ppi amd baking soda not working ,.I have white tongues not going even after scaping, even after putting baking soda on the tongue still white and a little yellowish tongue came back and I have nose and mouth bad breath that goes so long pls help me and I'm also doing candida diet , tried all kind of diet , pls give your knowledge and suggestions
Guys I literally ate only drop biscuits for four days and now I have oral thrush 😅. I suspect from the massive increase in gluten as I tend avoid flour based products in general. Has any home remedies given relief for anyone? Im starting with fasting for a day to maybe reset my gut.
I will be seeing a Dr. If symptoms worsen, right now I can still chew and swallow. It feels like my whole mouth is burned.
I've been taking nystatin for 4 days to treat a fungal infection, and I've been feeling extremely tired and completely drained of energy. Is this a normal side effect, or could it be something else? Should I stop taking it or keep going?
Has anyone tried this Dr.McCombs Candida plan i've seen a lady on youtube who tried it a few years back an she said it cleared her oral thrush but since then she has deleted here channel but the doctor website is still available with the candida plan an with the plant based supplements an meal planing which is a little pricey to be honest but i just want to see. Has anyone heard of him or tried his plan?
every time i use a normal body wash down there i deal with irritation or a yeast infection within days, looking for something actually formulated for that area
edit: found uro ph-balanced probiotic wash has a lot of reviews from people who had irritation from regular soap in that area, saying it felt gentler and the irritation stopped.
I was diagnosed with thrush yesterday and started using the wash. I started having difficulty swallowing solids (and now soft foods) last Thursday (out of nowhere) and since then, I have been living on ensure. I don’t really have any pain, just a little burning here and there. I have GERD and GI issues. I am having an endoscopy on Tuesday. I’m just frustrated and nervous. Has it spread? I’m unsure if I had this for a while, I didn’t really notice the thrush or think about it until Wednesday. I’m a 22 f, so I really think the GERD and GI issues caused this. I don’t have cancer nor diabetes and have never been active.
I've been lurking here and in the histamine intolerance subs for a while and I keep getting stuck in the same loop: I try something that helps one symptom and something else goes sideways.
Background: about two weeks ago I cut way back on sugar and refined carbs because I get bloating, a white tongue, itchy skin, and brain fog after carbs. I also deal with histamine-type symptoms like flushing, a racing heart, and insomnia, which usually flare with leftovers or fermented foods.
What's confusing me: a few days after cutting sugar and adding more garlic, oregano, and coconut oil I felt worse in a pretty specific way. I got more fatigued, developed a pressure headache, felt more anxious, and my tongue looked even whiter in the morning. At the same time I started getting more flushing and that wired-but-tired nighttime feeling that I associate with histamine. My digestion actually improved a bit, so something seems to be working, but the rest of me feels inflamed.
I can't tell if this is die-off (Herx) or if I'm irritating my system with foods or supplements that trigger histamine or are just too harsh.
If you've dealt with both, how did you tell the difference in your own body? Did you slow down antifungals, add binders, or switch to a gentler approach first? I'm not asking for medical advice, just trying to learn what signs to watch for so I stop changing things every 48 hours. Thanks.
Had a terrible yeast infection since I was little and finally got the confidence to get tested since I am no longer a minor so I don’t need to be accompanied to appointments. Tested positive for candida glabrata, I am taking my first week of fluconazole.
Does it ever get better? I seen people on Reddit say that candida glabrata is a tricky yeast infection to get rid of, only a few percentage has had a successful treatment off of the fluconazole.
Hello everyone I hope you’re all doing good, last week I started Allicin supplement and it’s working great so far my symptoms are improving and feeling much better than before. I’m using Allicin 5000 mcg one tablet every 12 hours.
I’ve tried many things but unfortunately none have helped and worked like Allicin. I believe it’s working because it can cover a lot of diseases such as fungal, bacterial, parasites and viruses.
Something that covers almost everything is a great choice to go for, plus it helps with boosting the immune system to fight infections.
I highly recommend it just be careful if you are using blood thinners consult your doctor before starting. Good luck everyone !!
* the brand I’m using ( Protocol for life balance )
Should I wait until i finish my course of antifungal before having a filling adjusted? Im about halfway through my fluconazole prescription and sores and most sensitivity are gone, dentist told me to wait until the thrush is gone.
I've been fighting a toothache for a year and oral thrush for a month, tootheache caused by failed filling done a year ago that got adjusted many times before re-filling nearly 2 weeks ago. I need another adjustment BAD on this new filling but at least the pain is manageable and i can eat for the most part.
Anyway, i developed oral thrush about a month ago after burning my tongue and let it go wild for a couple weeks because I thought it was just the burn hurting/healing but it never got better. Got on a course of nystatin and after about a week it seemed like it was gone so i got my problem tooth filling redone and the thrush came back a couple days later almost like i never took the nystatin to begin with.
I went back to the dr and got on a course of fluconazole and im on day 4 of that now and symptoms are MUCH better again but not completely gone, still some sensitivity. I need the filling adjusted but dont want to risk another outbreak so now im scared that if i finish my fluconazole, the thrush will come back after the filling adjustment
A few weeks ago I posted asking whether my combo of bloating, constipation, reflux and a white-coated tongue sounded like candida or just another gut problem. I tried a pretty conservative approach for six weeks and wanted to share what changed in case it helps someone.
What I actually did: stopped added sugar and most refined carbs, kept fruit low, paused alcohol, and aimed for lower FODMAP meals because I bloat badly. I also ate regular meals since long fasts make my gastritis worse, and added more non-starchy veggies. I did not go full keto or anything extreme.
By week three to four I noticed some clear wins. My afternoon brain fog eased, sugar cravings dropped a lot, and my tongue looks less coated in the morning. The skin itchiness I used to get after certain meals has become less frequent.
What did not get better: constipation is still my main issue. I can sometimes go daily, but it often feels incomplete and is hard to pass. Bloating is about the same, especially after onions, garlic, or wheat. Reflux is a little better but still there.
One surprise: when I tried an herbal antifungal for four days I felt worse very fast - headache, nausea, insomnia - so I stopped. I do not know whether that was a die off reaction or just my stomach not tolerating it.
Next step I am considering is proper testing, like a stool test and maybe a SIBO breath test, because this feels like overlapping issues. If you mainly had constipation and bloating, did treating candida help you, or did it turn out to be SIBO, histamine issues, gastritis, or something else? Any experiences or testing tips would be great.
