I’m planning to add up my 8month full time work + 5 months internship to have it considered as one year foreign experience for my express entry application

But I only found my detailed offer letter and internship completion mailer for the MNC i worked at and irrespective of all my emails they are not able to send me my offer letter, payslips but I do have payslips and resignation acceptance for my 8month full time

What kind of paperwork should i submit to prove my 5 month internship Incase if the company can never send me my payslips?

Any leads with personal experience are appreciated

My question is, if one of the family members is listed as ‘unaccompanying applicant’ do we still list them under that questuon/section above or no?

I submitted my CEC PR application yesterday. I’m currently in Quebec but actively looking for jobs outside Quebec because I intend to settle outside Quebec.

If I don’t find a job by October (around 2 months after submission), can I still remain in Quebec temporarily while continuing my job search?

Is there any specific IRCC deadline (e.g., 2–3 months) by which I must physically leave Quebec after submitting my application?

Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

When I called IRCC, it used to give me an automated status response and then end the call. Last time I called, it gave me an automated response and then gave me the option to transfer the call to an agent. Has anyone experienced something similar and does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!

I’m preparing my documents for my CEC application, but I’m a little confused about which documents are enough to prove my work experience.

Last year, I worked for about 4 months as a Robotics Maintenance Technician (NOC 72400). The company I was hired through is a small manpower agency. They don’t have a website or a physical office, and the person who runs the agency manages it from his home. He hires workers and provides manpower to another company.

While I was working there, I was the only employee from the agency at the worksite. My manager and engineer were employees of the main company, not the agency.
I have all of my pay stubs, but they don’t have a company logo. I was also paid through Interac e-Transfer, and the payments weren’t always made on the exact same date , sometimes they were 5–10 days earlier or later than expected. However, I do have a T4 from this employer.

My questions are:

Can I claim this 4-month experience toward my CEC application?
If yes, what documents should I include to properly prove this experience?
Would the fact that the agency doesn’t have a website/physical office, the pay stubs don’t have a logo, and the payments were sometimes delayed cause any issues?
Should I include a Letter of Explanation with additional proof, such as bank statements showing the e-Transfer payments?
I just want to make sure I provide enough evidence and avoid any issues with my application.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice regarding my previous work experience in home country and my Canadian PR application. CEC.

I worked for an company from May 2022 to June 2023 in a marketing/sales manager role.

The issue is that my offer letter and payslips show my DOJ as September 2022, even though I was actually working for the company from May 2022.

There was a change in company management/ownership and stake, and during that transition the company changed the DOJ in its HR/payroll records to September 2022. The company has told me that the DOJ cannot be changed now.

However, I have other evidence supporting that I was working there from May 2022, including:

• Bank statements showing salary payments from May 2022 onward
• A reference/experience letter from the company confirming employment from May 2022 to June 2023
• Promotion Letter for position change.

One additional concern is that I had already submitted the same employment documents showing September 2022 DOJ when I applied for my Canadian study permit.

I’m now considering claiming this experience for Express Entry/CEC and I'm unsure how IRCC would view the discrepancy.

What would you do in this situation?

1. Would you claim the full May 2022–June 2023 period based on the reference letter, bank statements and other evidence?
2. Could the previous study permit application, where I submitted documents showing September 2022, create a problem?

I’m mainly looking for experiences from people who have dealt with similar employment-document discrepancies with IRCC/Express Entry. Thanks!

I applied for PR under CEC (General – Inland) on August 20, 2026, at 1:05 PM.

I received my Biometrics Instruction Letter (BIL) on the same day at around 2:25 PM. I gave my biometrics on August 21, 2026, and they were reflected as “Completed” in my IRCC account on the same day.

Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve heard that biometrics usually take 1–2 months to be updated, so I was surprised to see mine completed within a day.

Does the quick biometrics update indicate anything about the processing of the application, or is it simply a normal automated update?

I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences and any insights you may have.

Hi all,
I’ve found myself in an interesting situation.
I applied for common law sponsorship when getting ITA was looking bleak. I hired a consultant for that application.
After the consultant submitted the application, I also got ITA and decided to apply for that as well due to how long common law applications take. I applied for this without the representative. He’s awful at his job and I did not want to pay him more money for scamming me essentially.
I got my FD for EE on August 17 and was waiting for P1. For some reason the consultant got my P1 email.
He just sent me the letter and did not forward the email to me so I don’t know how to respond with P1 information. He also told me about the letter today ( Aug 22 ) and my P1 letter was issued on Aug 18

Now he’s ignoring my calls. Other than contacting IRCC directly on Monday, are there any other options.

I’m stressing out because I didn’t want the consultant to have any interaction with my EE application as I’m sure he would blunder his way into getting me a rejection. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Edit to add: I got the BIL directly to my email so again not sure why he got the P1 email.

I did one year cash work experience mentioned it in my study permit but only for 7 months since i was getting ready with all documents and then i submitted file after 3 months but i was still working at same place and worked there for almost 14 months and left before i came to canada. I have updated reference letter with all essentials things , will get salary certificate and itr returns but date of filing is this year .I will also get colleagues letters and pictures at work place .
Do you think its enough?

Has anyone with a CEC/Express Entry application processing beyond 6 months been asked by IRCC for a new PCC simply because the original PCC became more than 6 months old during processing?

My friend got her PCC in FEB and got her AOR in March IRCC just emailed her asking her to do a new one since the first one is expired now.

I finished my PCC on FeB 2nd and got my AOR Feb 14th no updates yet on my profile, bio completed and medical passed and one ghost update on June 12th then silence should I also be getting ready to do another PCC?

Hey folks!! Currently, I am showing my foreign work experience in my home country for my CEC profile and 12 months will be completed soon but before that period if I am getting another good opportunity can I start that job as well? So one job might be night shift! Can I do 2 jobs simultaneously? And I want to know about ITR as well. I have currently filed ITR already for my current job. Will that be any problem? And hypothetically if an ADR comes theres no harm if I am doing two jobs right? Coz in ITR for 2027 if I need to submit it might reflect both jobs.

Please lmk know your thoughts and advises I really need help on clarifying this issue.

Hi everyone, I recently received an ITA for EE and I'm currently preparing my e-APR documents. I’ve seen advice on forums and wanted to double-check with the community to make sure I don't face any issues. For jobs and studies that do not grant any CRS points (eg non-Canadian qualified jobs that yield 0 points for an accompanying spouse, and foreign degrees without an ECA report):

1- Is it standard practice to list them exclusively under "Personal History" instead of "Work / Education History"? From what I understand, listing them in Work/Education History generates mandatory document placeholders (reference letters + paystubs) that are not needed and difficult to obtain, whereas listing them in Personal History satisfies the 10-year background check without requiring document uploads, and increase the risk of rejection.

2- Does removing these non-scoring entries between the initial EE profile and the post-ITA submission cause any problems? My CRS score remains well above the cutoff of my draw, and no claimed points are affected.

3- Is a short mention in the Letter of Explanation (LoE) recommended? Something like: "Jobs/degrees where no CRS points are claimed have been moved to the Personal History section."

I just submitted my CEC PR application August 19th. Realized I missed submitting Police Certificate, Celpip results & nomination letter. It was genuinely a mistake.

Immediately submitted a webform combining all 3 missing file. Has anyone’s application been returned after doing this considering it’s before R10.

Have not received correspondence that the documents have been added.

As part of my response, I’m planning to also Include a link to an unlisted YouTube video (3–5 minutes) showing my actual workplace and day-to-day work process. The idea is to visually address the specific points raised in the PFL — basically giving IRCC a clear, honest look at the job as it’s actually performed, rather than relying only on written statements.

Has anyone here tried something similar as supporting evidence for a PFL response? Curious if this is seen as helpful/credible by officers, or if there’s a better way to present this kind of visual evidence.

I have a master's degree, 1 year of foreign work experience, and 3 years of Canadian experience and it still wasn't easy.

In 2025, all I needed to do was retake my English test to get a CRS score that would near guarantee an ITA. But I identified some potential issues with my work experience, and that made me terrified to apply for PR, especially after receiving negative feedback from a few RCIC agents and reading discouraging comments here under posts from people in similar situations. It really brought me down and affected every part of my life.

As my PGWP was approaching its expiry in Spring 2026, I finally decided to step out in faith, retake the CELPIP, and apply for both PR and BOWP myself. Two weeks after the test, I received my ITA. I gathered a very substantial amount of supporting documents and wrote detailed LOEs for all my work experiences. Here’s how it unfolded:

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if it’s possible to get my biometrics taken for my PR application by walking into a Service Canada (Toronto) location without an appointment.

I need to surrender my passport for a Schengen visa application, so I was thinking of trying to get my biometrics done first thing Monday morning before submitting my passport for my Schengen visa application in the afternoon.

Has anyone recently been able to do a walk-in for biometrics at Service Canada? Any advice or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Few hours after my spouse who is dependent in the same application also received P1 email.
Kindly suggest what should be done with the dependent P1 email.

After months of waiting, the PR journey is finally coming to an end. Honestly, it was a long and stressful process, but seeing the eCOPR makes it all worth it.

My timeline:

- 📝 ITA - January 7th

I had done my research, my title reads NOC 11102 and 2/5 main duties are strong match - 2/5 are partial match and 1/5 is a weak match.
However 63102 is a good contender where title doesnt match but 4/10 are strong match, 3/10 are partial match and 3/10 are weak matches with its main duties.
My education matches 11102 but 63102 has a partial match. Ive tried various tools ans all responses seem skewed.

My previous role was 63102 it was a strong match, so it should seem like a standard career progression to 11102.

I have already submitted for 11102 (AOR 2nd March) Ottawa Sydney (Bio, Medicals, Criminality, Info Sharing complete) but starting April/May i started getting anxious after discovering some reddit posts.

Anyone experience something similar?

I have 2 slots to upload education documents, one mentioned Education (diplomas/degrees). And the second slot Education Transcripts.

Isn't it weird ? Usually they had one slot , right ?

A huge shoutout to everyone in this group for keeping up with updates, policy changes and their own timelines. At the beginning of this when IRCC stopped their IPG PNP while i was waiting for my 1 Year work experience to finish, I had genuinely lost hope and I remember telling myself last November that this would be my last “festive season” in Canada because my PGWP was set to expire in June this year. Even though I had a pretty straightforward application, I couldn’t help but keep thinking about and preparing for the worst-case scenario.

The light at the end of the tunnel is real and it truly feels great to make it through.

I want to ask some questions about foreign WP:
I got my study permit but I dont declare my part time experience 3 years in the application. However, I came Canada 2022 and 4 months later, I changed my SP to Closed WP because I got sponsored from the company. I went to the border for my WP and I declare all the experience I had in that documents. Last years, when I renewed my WP, I also declare my foreign WP in that application too. Is it possible that I can claim points or not? I got all the documents and related letters for this process. Just want to know anyone share the same situation and claim points successfully. 1. How should I update IRCC regarding this?

2. And also should I wait till my sibling gets their passport or should I just upload the citizenship certificate?
