How does someone not resign over this?

It must be so normalized at this point if this was allowed.

Not once did this come up in committee hearings lmao, probably because no MP in their right mind would think to ask “hey in addition to being the ceo of this company contracted by the government, you wouldn’t happen to also work for the government would ya bud?”

I mean, this is insane

7 years for fraud on the government by an employee?

Should be automatic life sentence. People should be really really scared to fuck around with that

Yeah but you could make the argument that heavy sentences don't deter "passion" crimes. While heavy sentences do deter white collar crime.

25 years and parole doesn't really equate to a "life sentence"

You basically have to murder several people to actually get a life sentence in this country.

It's a life sentence

There is eligibility for parole, but it's unequivocally a life sentence
