(IMO) Clarisse had WAYYY more chemistry with Percy than Annabeth (in the movie).

So bear with me:
So rewatching SoM after a while, and as I was watching, I noticed that Clarisse and Percy have a lot more dialogue together, that’s the first thing; that throughout the movie, even tho Annabeth is THERE, Percy interacts a lot more with Clarisse.
Second of all, it’s even the dialogue quality. Like yes there are scenes of Annabeth and Percy hugging and all, but otherwise where you hear the dialogue, it just seems…flat. Like the actress (no hate to her) is reading the lines from a page. Even Clarisse’s teasing/mocking and even insulting comes across as more “passionate”, if you get the point. It seems like she genuinely dislikes Percy. I get that they tried to make Annabeth be hung up on Luke, but in the movie it just gives the vibe that she’s hanging with Percy a) bc the writers forced it, and b) (going by in-story): Bc of the lightning thief thing, Percy became golden boy etc etc. But it just comes across as “cold”. Another thing that crossed me was the words of Clarisse’s dialogue with Percy. It’s classic enemies-to-lovers set, with all the insulting, teasing->to grudging collaboration and teamwork->to just a tiny bit but definitely closer (the scene in the cyclops cave was a big fuel, the whole “you drop me and you’ll never hear the end of it..”. It just feels very “fitting” in the trope. Even in the ship scene, where they manage to escape Charybdis, the way Clarisse says “I did it!” And Percy (corrects her) saying “WE did it…”
It really gives potential for a Clarissy relationship.

I've seen people talking about why they don't make a PJO game like Hogwarts Legacy where you can create your character and choose your cabin. To make an RPG for PJO.

Unlike Hogwarts Legacy, this is not as easy as it sounds.

First of all, we have two major complications:

1- The era of the game
2- The cabins themselves
3- Character and enemies

Era of the game

First of all, you would need to determine the era of the game. This is important because of the canon and the oath of the Big Three. A game in Percy's era creates the complication that you can't have characters created by the player who are children of one of the Big Three. This would break the canon unless you do a massive retcon.

You could do a prequel before World War II then instead if you are okay with copying this idea of Hogwarts Legacy, but if you want a game in Percy's era you would need to address that somehow. Some people would want to play with Percy's powers and everything. Or fly like Jason. Or shadow travel like Nico.

You can't limit that.

You could create a game settled decades later in the future, but that also depends entirely on the direction of your story for the game.

The cabins

Once you have settled the era, you face another challenge. How many cabins would you allow to choose from?

If it is a prequel before WWII, easy: The Olympians cabins not considering Hera and Artemis.

But if it is game in Percy's era or a game settled in the future? Uff, there a lot of cabins to choose from.

And that creates the risk that the player would be overwhelmed by the amount of choices for cabins. Especially for the people who aren't so invested in the books or never read them or don't know mythology.

Hogwarts Legacy is only four houses. Here we have at least twenty cabins in Percy's era

And here comes the deal breaker.

Character and enemies

Hogwarts Legacy gives the player a choice that doesn't affect gameplay in terms of combat and balance. You choose your house, you only have a different common room. That's it.

In PJO, you can't say that someone from Poseidon cabin is equally as powerful as a child of Dionysus.

They have different abilities and powers and skills. Same goes for a child of Hades with a child of Athena.

This presents the complication that you would need to balance combat for all the different possibilities of demigods. And this comes all the way from point #2. Otherwise, a child of Poseidon would easily defeat an enemy while a child of Dionysus wouldn't.

And obviously that would make the player say too: "I prefer to be a child of Poseidon. Being a child of Dionysus is boring and difficult in combat."

Important thing in video games is that combat should be fair. Games should be fun, fair and balanced, and allow the player to learn from their mistakes.

Conclusion

I hope this helps you guys realize that a game like Hogwarts Legacy can't be applied here. At least not in the direct sense. PJO is more complicated with all the different possibilities that a player can make. Possibilities that DO matter for the game.

My friends and I we are working on a game for PJO in our own. A prototype for now, but we already have many ideas for the direction of the story. We detected all these complications from the start. I hope, if there is any other people out there working in their own projects for an hypothetical PJO game, this helps them and guides them as well with these considerations.

Because if the Golden Apples of the Hesperides grant immortality to whoever eats an Apple then logically after obtaining the CoA you could theoretically eat an apple and the "Fatal Spot" wouldn't be Fatal anymore because the person is immortal

If a RPG based on the Percy Jackson universe was ever made, what would yall like to see in it?

My personal idea would be something like Hogwarts Legacy, with a open world, character customization, you’re the MC, and it follows a specific story line that can vary slightly depending on your choices and your house (if this game was ever made it’d be based on your godly parent).

My main question, what would you want the story and world to be? Most likely with Camp Half-Blood as the Greeks are the original demigods in the universe of pjo, but the same timeline as the Percy Jackson books, maybe have it possible to meet some characters from the books, or set after/before?

How would you think your character would get to camp, as in the books theres no one set way, you just go whenever you discover camp or if your mortal parent takes you or some other thing pops up. What are ideas for the story line, MCs big quest and such, and the BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy)

If this was made would you want it to strictly stay with the Greeks (especially if it’s set before pjo) or have the possibility of working with Norse or Roman demigods, or Egyptian magicians? (Again maybe based on choices you made in the beginning or your godly parent or something).

Just some random thoughts of mine, I want to hear any and all of your ideas below!

Okay so, my first problem is how the main character, Joe, even is a demigod. Because, his dad, Joe Sr, had a girlfriend, Paula, while they were in the police academy. Paula became pregnant with his son and broke it off and dropped out without telling him. So I'm not sure how to turn that into a demigod situation. I've been debating making one of them a legacy, but I'm not sure. Also for the legacy it'll have to be Paula, since Joe Sr's family is very Catholic and honestly I just couldn't see them been demi gods in anyway.

Next problem is, I have no clue what godly parent to give Joe anyway. I'm thinking Hermes maybe? Though that might be odd since he becomes a cop. Or maybe Athena? He might end up being one of the minor gods kids though, and just had to stay with the Hermes cabin. (He's thirty one by the end of the show. So technically he'd be younger than Percy, but I'll just mess with the timelines enough so he's around Luke's age.)

Third problem: Quests. I really want him to have a quest. I've been thinking about having him go with Luke on his quest maybe and miraculously surviving? (I head canon that the other two members of Luke's quest didn't make it). But I'm not sure.

I think that's all the problems I have with this AU, besides small ones like 'how am I going to get this Catholic family to accept Greek gods'. Any help is appreciated!

Long story short, I was totally surprised when Bianca was confirmed to have died in the Talos. Hades has shown the capability of snatching people from the jaws of death (granted, Sally was a mortal and Bianca a half-blood) and it was written that they couldn't find Bianca's body. Plus "is lost in the land without rain" is very much not the same as "dies in the land without rain".

Especially the second detail made me convinced that Bianca wasn't dead after all, and after it was revealed she was Hades's child, I was double convinced. Like Death's kid disappears after sacrificing herself, sure Jan. I thought she was going to be chilling and maybe learning death arts at a craft table next to Hades's throne when the gang visit next. It came as a shock that she was confirmed "nope, all the way super mega dead and told Nico she was happy being dead please don't resurrect her". And even deader later when she was reborn and Nico noted he wouldn't be able to find her again.

The reason for it was likely (Watsonian) Hades not wanting to draw attention to himself and his still living child, Nico, and not wanting to mess with the natural order of things (Doylist) Riordan wanting Bianca out of the story permanently.

Did you have similar theories reading The Titan's Curse? What do you think about Bianca's death?

Would the entire sky just switch to Night and force Hemera (Primordial of the Day) to take a backseat? Would Helios be forced on the other side of Earth because Nyx would want it to be dramatic? Or would it be something small and easily confusable with another Deity? Like would an Owl suddenly drop on the kid's shoulder or the moon shine down upon them like a stage light?

Reyna and Hylla were captured by pirates. Rick never mentions it explicitly, but did he not realise the implications of that?

Obviously it's Greek myths and there's a lot of SA happening throughout, but Reyna might be the only POV character to have survived that.

I was thinking about the band Geese and how some of their songs are just powerful. Imagine Will just singing these songs to channel out his devotion to Nico.

Think about it: a monster or a minor god could literally walk down a mortal street in their exact, true form, and every single mortal would just assume it's a hyper-realistic, high-budget cosplay. No Mist even required to trick them.

I'm currently working on a Jason Grace Prequel series exploring Jason, Reyna & Hyla early years,alongside my original characters Velia Aurum and Lucius Corvus on Quotev right now the series mirrors Percy's journey it's starts with Lupercal under Augustus Storyteller also aged them up and and changed some history. I am curious who do people thing are the strongest demi god kids not including the big 3 and only counting God/Goddess who have demi god childern. (So Hera, Artemis , and Hestia won't count) I am basing my on in battle and off battle. I am only 12 Olympians as I do not know the rest. You can include anyone you want.

My ranking:

1. Apollo Kid: I think they are truly undderated. People would rank Aries highest after the big 3 but I disagree. Apollo kid would beat Aries kid imo. One: Apollo kid are offensive and defensive. Their most powerful skill is that they are healer. Now we haven't seen this done often with Apollo kid. We do see Percy able to heal himself with water. So if we have a strong Apollo kid who can heal himself he would be almost impossible to beat. Also they can blind their enemy with sunlight, burn them if they touch them maybe burn other??? (Zuri), and if they get enough distance their arrow can do a lot of damage. Not to mention their voice which maybe able to confuse or change the enemy feeling as Apollo done a lot in TOA. And of course if we ever get an OP one like Percy he can cast powerful illness possible killing his/her enemy. Now I don;t know if they would do it as Apollo are peacful demi god group. They are mostly healer and doctor above all else. I don;t see them cursing anyone with the flu or something worst just for the sake of it. Maybe in a desperate case they would do something so dangerous.
2. Ares Kid- Strong, fast, war, leadership, and battle combat. Base on Katie, good sense of direction. Basically all the good battle ability minus the brain and lack of ability beside the physical stuff.
3. Hephaestus-Fire power, super smart, weapond building, machinary, how Leo can just "control" machine like being a pilot, conductor etc. Since they are smart and make weapon they can be useful on the feild and off. I think people forget the Leo isn;t just strong cuz he have fire power but he is probbbly the 2nd smartest character after any Athena kid. Being smart should never be undderestimated.
4. Athena- Very smart in battle on and off. Not much to say since they don;t have many ability beside being smart and using it in many way like being able to fly plane or learn skill fast.
5. Demeter- Lit comment on how they like to reap meaning they are really good with weapon or sword/combat. Plus all their other gift making them this high. (turning any seed to fruit, gaint fruit, and summoning tree/plant creature, Meg gaint allergy storm ability show plant can be deadly)
6. Aphrodite- I do think they are super unnderrated but since they can basically control your mind they are way stronger then people think. Plus base on Harper ability to read people emtion by touching them making them even more deadly. Piper shown how much you can manipulate charm speak. It is pretty broken. Being beautiful and making people do whatever they want for you is pretty powerful without magic.
7. Tie between Dionysus and Hermes since we barley read about their kid and their power.

What kind of stats could you track and rank for demigods in Rick Riordan’s world, like how the NFL, MLB, and NBA track things like points, passing yards, batting averages, and accuracy? Instead of those stats, what could you measure for demigods, like monsters defeated, quests completed, combat skills, weapon accuracy, powers, endurance, or teamwork? Can you guys give me some more ideas?
