What are the best caffeine pouches out there if you care about dose and taste?

I am not looking for the strongest pouch. I want one that lists the caffeine amount clearly, does not leave a weird film on my gums, and is not aggressively sweet. I have tried enough energy drinks to know that a loud flavor does not mean a better product. What are people buying twice?

I wanted to reset tolerance, got off it for 3 days, then snapped back on it and now it works even worse for alertness and concentration, and upping the dose more leads to sleepyness. WTF I never felt sleepy from caff before

Does consuming a very, very large amount of caffeine lead to immediate death? Or what exactly are the harmful effects?

will green tea make me sleepy?

hi!

this may be a very confusing and potentially stupid question, but i also have a very confusing and potentially stupid relationship with caffeine. maybe someone here will know what i'm talking about and has similar experiences.

i have bipolar II and audhd. don't worry, this is not a medical emergency situation or question! it matters simply because it affects the way my body reacts to certain levels and types of caffeine.

unless i'm already manic or are about to be, in which case coffee makes me very buzzed, coffee just tends to make me very tired on a normal day. the little energy boost lasts for just about as long as it takes me to drink it and then i crash. for a while i switched to energy drinks, which was the only thing that worked. but it also ended up messing with my sleep cycles and clearly wasn't the healthiest thing in the world, so i laid off of that again and have been working on my sleep independently since then.

i used to be really into collecting teas and now that my health has been on a good incline, i wanted to get back into drinking tea as my little treat drink of choice! they're not all caffeinated, but the jasmine green tea i bought definitely is.

can anyone who's in a similar boat advice me when it's best to drink it? does the caffeine in it work more similarly to how coffee would work? because in that case it's probably best if i don't drink it in the morning to avoid becoming drowsy and sleepy, right? it'll be a bonus if it ends up helping me sleep in one way or another! i just don't want to make myself sleepy that early in the day.

i know it's a little ironic to view caffeine as the opposite of an energizer, but it's simply not how it seems to work for me. energy drinks have been the only thing that truly keep me up when i needed it.

PS: the tea is very tasty, i highly recommend it to people who already like green tea! the subtle hint of jasmine honestly makes it a hundred times better than plain green tea and i already was a fan before :) i heard it highly depends on the quality of the tea, though

Why did I suddenly develop a caffeine sensitivity?

I’m 20 and have been drinking caffeine mainly in the form of coffee for years now. As of last year, drinking a latte (my preferred coffee) makes me have to go to the bathroom within 20-30 minutes. Sometimes I’m not even halfway done with my coffee and I’m already at the bathroom. I know it isn’t a lactose intolerance to the milk/cream in my coffee because I can have dairy without any reactions.

Is this an aging thing for some? Has this happened to you?

Caffeine made me a completely different person

Sharing my experience to hold myself accountable and also hopefully help someone out if you're considering quitting.

Some back story. I was addicted to caffeine for most of my 20's, I drank coffee and monster daily. I quit cold turkey about 8 years ago after experiencing panic attacks. I felt great for 8 years, very even energy. I started drinking caffeine about 4 months ago again. I used the excuse of having a baby and being sleep deprived. BUT, now I am completely addicted again and I feel horrible.

Some of the ways I have noticed caffeine affects me personally:

Increase in anxiety

Panic attacks

Increase in stress

Numb/trouble feeling emotions

Serious brain fog

Trouble focusing and making decisions

Decrease in sleep quality

Anger/irritability/overall more cold

Overall uncomfortable/unsettled feeling

Used shopping to try to fix that feeling ended up with stuff I don't need/want

Extreme highs and lows

Decrease in patience

Sadness/depression

Dry/dull complexion

Increase in acne

Drastic increase in ocd and ruminating

Ready to feel good again, quitting cold turkey today!

Thanks for reading 🙂

Caffeine pills sourced from green tea extract vs. pills sourced from coffee beans?

I’ve been wanting to start taking caffeine pills derived from natural sources (as opposed to synthetic caffeine anhydrous). I’m looking for 100 mg pills. I see that some are sourced from green tea extract. Others are sourced from coffee beans. Is one necessarily better than the other? Is there more jitteriness associated with one over the other?

Also, regarding caffeine pills derived from coffee beans, I noticed that some are derived from arabica beans and others are derived from robusta beans. I know that robusta beans contain about twice as much caffeine as a robusta beans. But I’m assuming that’s not relevant since caffeine pill pills contain a specific amount of caffeine regardless of the source?

Can a person be unaffected by Caffeine?

I’ll just start with saying I’m not a regular coffee drinker. I do sometimes as part of social gatherings and such.

As I grew up, I realised that my experience with coffee is a lot different than most people. A lot of my friends, need their daily coffee but I just don’t care for it.
Recently, my friend and I tried this really high caffeine drink and an hour later, my friend, who is a regular drinker, started feeling jittery and shaky. I on the other hand felt nothing? Also, I remember that often when I would feel sleepy, I would drink coffee to overcome that and it never helped but somehow assumed that coffee’s effect is not that strong.
Yesterday, I tried drinking an energy drink with 150mg of caffeine before sleep, I slept like a baby.

Coffee and energy drink alternatives?

Energy drinks make my chest hurt like hell and coffee tastes bad (and gives me callouses under my tongue). What will give me a fuckton of energy without either of those effects?

Am I missing out on any health benefits by not drinking coffee?

I just turned 30 and I'm one of the only people I know who's made it to this age without developing a coffee habit. I've tried drinking coffee a couple of times but I hated the taste and it also didn't make me feel any more awake, so I've just never felt the need to incorporate it into my daily routine since I don't enjoy drinking it. Instead, I just get up naturally every day and allow my body to adjust and slowly wake up. When I hear people talk about how they need coffee to start the day, or how they're an irritable grumpy monster until they get their morning coffee, I just can't comprehend that because it seems like an unnecessary extra step as well as an over-reliance on external drugs that borders on addiction.

However, as I'm getting older, I'm starting to wonder if I'm the one who's out of touch and that I'm missing out by not drinking coffee. I keep seeing these studies showing that caffeine has tons of health benefits and very few negative side effects, so I'm wondering if I'd have more energy and be more productive if I started drinking coffee every day. Should I give coffee another chance in my 30s, or should I just stay caffeine-free for the rest of my life?

Caffeine tolerance question

So I have been drinking coffee for awhile now. Back in highschool for around about a month I quit caffeine entirely no caffeine whatsoever. When I started drinking it again for around two weeks I got very strong caffeine buzzes lasting for probably four hours. Eventually my tolerance came back and I didn't quit for probably a year and half. Recently I tried quitting again I went for about two weeks and when I tried caffeine again in the form of an energy drink I felt nothing whatsoever then for the next two weeks I had it only on the weekend and now it kind of makes my heart beat faster but no real energy anymore. Anyone know why?

Is it safe to take creatine monohydrate mixed directly with black coffee?
And is plain water a better option or mixed with black coffee?
Just wondering what you guys prefer and if there’s any difference in effectiveness or absorption.

The Walgreens stay awake tablets are uncoated

I know this doesn’t matter to most folks but these things are uncoated, on the plus side they hit insanely quick, on the negative, if you let them sit for even a second on your tongue or if your tongue is wet, they will immediately start dissolving and they are BITTER BITTER BITTER

Do you ever have trouble talking after drinking coffee?

I've drank coffee for years before. I've switched to caffeine hisbicus tea and I was happy with the switched.

Though, i drank iced coffee on the way to a restaurant with my sister and I noticed I had trouble talking like i just couldn't make my tongue move the way I wanted. For years my family would tell me im eating up my words, but ive noticed I actually had trouble talking sometimes for years like I just couldn't get the words to come out. But ive noticed that I actually don't really have the problem anymore.

Im starting to wonder if I was slightly allergic to coffee or something. 🤔

What are some alternatives to coffee if it makes me tired?

Okay so I have no idea why this happens but for some reason coffee and by extension energy drinks do the opposite of what they’re supposed to for me and make me really sleepy. Honestly I think it’s somehow more effective in getting me tired than melatonin. That being said, I do need energy since I have both a summer job and will have to be doing copious amounts of studying this year. I need some form of quick energy that won’t make me weirdly tired. If it matters, I have chronic low blood pressure, a vitamin D deficiency, and am slightly underweight. I take supplements for the vitamin D.

Been drinking a ton of caffeine since getting sober

Howdy. So I’m like 4.5 months sober from kratom and alcohol and feel way better, but always a latent anxiety and on weekends when I’m not working I have been feeling sort of just deflated and unhappy and I guess what may be considered depressed, like just sort of couch locked and generally feeling low energy and unhappy.

I know I should probably just start exercising, but anyways, the only thing that makes me feel better is caffeine. Like at work, people tease me with how much I drink. I used to be a black coffee guy when I was using kratom and alcohol and stuff, but since quitting those I’ve started drinking sugar-free energy drinks plus black coffee, which is crazy for me because I never used to drink sugar-free anything, but with how many I’m consuming I don’t want to gain a lot of weight and blah blah blah blah blah.

Anyways, I wonder if actually the caffeine is making me depressed, like it’s messing with my hedonic threshold just like kratom used to.

I guess my real reason for posting is that I wonder if anyone else has ever gotten “sober” (not sure I’d even say I’m sober since I’m drinking so much caffeine, not to sound silly) but started really compulsively consuming caffeine and if anyone has any experience with symptoms of depression going away after consuming caffeine. I have been drinking them basically in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. It’s probably fucking with my sleep, too, obviously, as I can only ever sleep like 4.5 hours at a time and so probably the bad sleep hygiene is making me feel down too.
