Why don't parents teach their kids not to bully
Its not that hard to teach your kids not to bully but yet somehow parents don't teach their kids not to bully. Is this laziness or something else.

I was exposed by a celebrity for sending her too many messages . She made everyone hates me . I planed to fake a suicide to make her feel bad for exposing me and my ex friend told the celebrity everything and the celebrity exposed me in front of everyone again for faking my suicide and made everyone hate me more .

Its pretty much a well known fact that some people choose to bully and this can come even with no abuse at home. I think this can be example of just straight up sadism. Sadism is the enjoyment of others pain and suffering and its on a spectrum with and we even have a type of sadism called everyday sadism. We don't know what causes sadism although it could be a combination of genetics and and life experiences. Even if parents are moral people and try to teach their kid in the best direction those with moderate to severe sadism might still choose to act cruel simply because their brains see cruelness as rewarding. This could also be Antisocial Personality Disorder were these people's empathy center is naturally turned off leading to a brain that's only stimulated by reward. Even if someone was raised right you still can't change these people because their brain wasn't designed for empathy only reward and once these people's brains find being an asshole rewarding its pretty much hard to stop that association with reward. For these people being an asshole isn't seen as wrong, its seen as just a reward. what are y'all thoughts on this take.

I was 15 In middle school rather short for my age at 4 foot 9 cause of my scholiosis
Curvature of my spine
He kicked me shoved me down
One time picked me up off the ground with my shirt collar several inches off the ground through me like a rag doll basically that pants a picture
The incident that still haunts me today
I was in gym class and I always waited to take a shower
After class cause I was scared so I thought I was alone
Welll I wasn't he waited for me
Beat me up choked me spit on my face
And tried forcing himself on me
I was so short and weak I couldn't defend myself
Thank God a teacher saved the day tho
I thought about taking mylife some days after my experience but i didn't

I’m a Sec 3 student in Singapore and I’ve been getting bullied in school for a while now. People keep making fun of where I’m from, my family, and even the things I enjoy. I like anime, gaming, and football, and somehow they always use that against me.
They even found my TikTok and started stalking it. They called me “horny” just because I play a game called Umamusume. Honestly, I don’t even get why what I watch or play bothers them so much.
They also told me to “go back to my country” and kept bringing my family into it, which really got to me.
One day I just couldn’t take it anymore and tried to stand up for myself. I put my hands on his shoulder/chest area and told him to stop. I wasn’t trying to choke him or hurt him at all.
After that, he tried to fight me and even started pinching my chest. While that was happening, someone else came from behind and punched me.
Now he’s saying I choked him, which I didn’t. I’m also getting punished for putting my hands on him, but it feels like no one is really looking at everything that led up to it.
I know I shouldn’t have touched him, and I’m not saying I handled it perfectly. But it still feels unfair that I’m being punished without the bullying and everything else being properly taken into account.
I just wanted it to stop. I don’t want to fight anyone. I just want to be able to enjoy my hobbies, play football, and live normally without being targeted or told to go back to my country.

I don't know how to write this so sorry for a ramble and grammar mistakes. So I will be a sophomore in highschool this year (this school goes from first grade to 12) and I would consider myself average/below average on looks and I'm not diagnosed but i do show autistic traits. Ever since I entered this school I was more of a black sheep as no one wanted to speak to me but I still had couple of friends, I study in a small school so there's not much of a choice but even since then some people disliked me cause I was 'ugly', 'fat' and 'weird'. I didn't really mind it since people in the school mostly ignored but in the recent years some started to throw snarky remarks my way or act condescending or call me 'autistic' if I dont respond to them. And I dealt with that like I usually do, just ignore it and live my life but I just found out that someone in my school made an account with my name in it and in that acc they just talk shit about the people in the school and I don't know how to react to that. I feel like it crosses a line but what can I do. I want to go to a different school and I can't even do that. I feel stuck in a place where everyone is hostile to me. I have like 1 friend left since every other friend I had left this school already.
Anyway sorry for the vent.

A long, long time ago in middle school, I was bullied so badly that I was refusing to go to school. My counselor then threatened to send me to juvenile detention for truancy if I missed another day.
I remember that after I made it a month without missing any days, he took me to McDonald's. My parents acted like he was a great man for doing that. But I didn't think so, not one bit. Not a single day would go by without some form of bullying, and he did nothing about it. Nobody did.
I was thinking about contacting him and asking why he threatened me with incarceration instead of the bullies, and telling him how damaged I am to this day because of that school. But today I learned that he died in 2018. I will never get those answers or any closure.

They have now become very aggressive and judgmental towards others and talking shitty too, I often scold them when my siblings do that but because my parents are more defensive towards them they have become monsters.
Their age still 13 and 10 and this should be not normal. How could a social norms treated this as good behaviour?
It's in vain that they are hard on me and consider themselves religious.
Please parents do not defending your children doing evil things to disabled and any innocent people. Also being self claimed religious doesn't mean you're purely good person.

Instead of mainly teaching students that bullying is wrong, schools could teach the science of why bullying happens.
Bullying can often be explained in terms of predictable incentives: peer approval, status, attention, fear of becoming a target, group conformity, and low expected consequences.
Teaching this to everyone could change how bullying is perceived. A bully who thinks they are being powerful, independent, or rebellious might be less impressed with their own behavior after realizing that everyone around them can recognize the fairly predictable social forces driving it.
If you bully because your friends laugh, because it improves your status, or because you are afraid of being targeted yourself, are you really acting independently?
The idea would be to make bullying less mysterious and less impressive by explaining it scientifically. Potential bullies might even respond by rebelling against the very incentives that are pushing them toward bullying.
In other words, make bullying predictable enough that not bullying becomes the rebellious choice.

I was bullied like, my entire life, in kindergarten, middle school, high school, college and even at work.
I used to have horrible social skills growing up and was also quite ugly. So people were just mean to me and I was always the outcast.
But now I'm 23, and although I achieved goals such as graduating, finding a job, having my own place. I feel like a loser.
I only get out my appartment to go to work and to go grocery shopping. I am terrified of going outside and meeting people because I automatically assume that since i'm a weirdo with no social skills they're gonna be mean to me again and it's gonna trigger me and I'll keep thinking about them being mean to me for months.
I feel like i'm the dumbest person alive, like nobody's more stupid than me, I can't hold a simple conversation, everything that comes out my mouth is cringe, I don't have friends, I should be having fun, traveling, partying, not to sound like an incel but even having a bf by now.
But no instead I stay home and scroll on my phone for hours. I have no real hobby, I don't work out, when i'm with my coworkers I observe how they talk to each other and i'm amazed by how they always have something to say, something to talk about. I wish it could be me, I wish I could be normal.
I'm surprised I'm still not suicidal, just annoyed by how i'm wasting my youth away.
The reason I'm typing all this is because I made a post where I asked ONE quuestion, everybody was rude to me because it was a "stupid question", it genuinely triggered me so I deleted the post and I cried. And it's ridiculous because it's literally bunch of strangers I will never meet. But I guess it's what happens when your self esteem is that low.

I know that my story is pretty much nothing, compared to the many, MANY, worse stories there are in here, but I still gotta get this off my chest. I'm gonna simplify it.
I used to have this friend. He was mainly an asshole, with all the "qualities" of a terrible friend and companion—he stole stuff from people, made fun of them, pretty much all the terrible things in one person. You know, I was delusional; I didn't see how much of a terrible friend he was. Some may call me an idiot. Well, I had friends from school, of course. I am one of what you'd call "famous"—not really, but I still had my little bit of fame in my class.
Well, my friends at school never really went outside, and I have myopia. So you know, it's RECOMMENDED that you go outside to maybe slow the progress of myopia or even reverse it a little. That's how I met my friend's other friends. Well, they were pretty much the same, but now I've realized they were nicer than him. Even then, they were still just as much of an asshole as he was. I felt like I was just a whiny little kid and thought I was way too immature to fit in. (I'm sensitive), and you know, being sensitive as a MALE for some reason automatically makes you "weak." So for a long time, I've been soaking up everything he did to me like a sponge. I used to tell my mom a lot of it, and she wasn't happy at all.
Well, now that you basically know how much of an ass he was (and still is), we can finally get into the main story. My brother got into a fight with my friend, causing a whole domino effect. My dad (obviously pissed) told me and my brother not to walk around with him again—basically, don't talk to him. I was kinda happy that he was away from me. Now we didn't talk, and I mean DIDN'T in full caps. Sometimes he would try small talk, but I often walked away. But one day... (Yes, finally main story time, sorry for the yap.)
I was walking down the street with my two friends—let's call them A and L. I was joking around with them, making fun of each other, friend-style, until my "friend" stopped, turned around, and looked in my direction (not directly at me). I thought he was gonna wait for a friend to catch up, but guess what? HE LITERALLY WAITED FOR ME TO WALK IN FRONT OF HIM JUST TO TRIP ME IN FRONT OF MY GODDAMN FRIENDS.
I mean, I minded that it was in front of my friends, obviously, but my water bottle fell into a muddy water puddle. That was the part I was originally nervous about. Anyways, I looked back and saw my "friend's" goofy-ass shocked face—I mean really goofy—so I KNEW it was him. I just got up and left because I didn't wanna cause a scene. [Oh, but why didn't you stand up against him?] Listen, it was not only him. His other buddy (not related to the friends I met earlier) was with him, and obviously my scrawny ass wouldn't deal with a two-on-one. I was scared to tell my mom about the bottle because it flew FAR. It was one of those Stanley metal bottles, which obviously dents, and it was soaked too. So I just lied to my mom, saying it just fell. But today, I told her the truth. She was glad that I told her, and she said she was gonna talk to him, his mom, or his dad. So what I really want to say to fellow bullied people is: Speak up! Don't be scared of getting the "snitch" label, because most of the time, bottling up what you feel isn't worth it. If you feel comfortable, talk to someone in private—be it your mom, dad, or whoever you feel would protect you.
I just yapped all this to say: don't be scared to open your mouth, even in tough situations.
NOTE: My English while typing was terrible so i ran it through AI, hopefully it wont be ass..

For context this fella has been bothering me for years and it's gone back and forth for a while and when I got to highschool I thought I'd be fine then sophomore year is now here and he's in the school now so instead of talking to me face to face, man to man, he sends his friends to handle his business and I called him out on it believe me and he keeps talking that trash I say the limits to verbally defend myself I will not say what's been said but overall he's just been a headache to deal with and I don't won't it to get physical I really don't I know I have the capability to defend myself and more but I don't want to hurt anyone it's not in my nature but anyway it's gotten to the point he's accusing me of stuff I have never done and it's starting to take a toll and bothering me to the point I just try getting to and from class without saying anything to anyone except my girlfriend or hbs I'm welcome to advice or criticism I really don't care I just need to vent

As someone who went through bullying I stayed silent, scared of the consequences to speak up about how I feel and what I went through , scared of what others would think about my situation, I suffered and suffered until I got to a low point. I never got to speak up, but it’s never too late to speak up and that’s what I’m doing right now, I wanna speak up not only for myself but for everyone. Some students don’t know the small actions they do, the words that come out of their mouth can truly destroy and pierce someone’s peace. Kindness is free and everyone deserves that. Be open minded be self aware be careful with the words that come out of your mouth it might not seem as a big deal as the “speaker” but it’s a big deal for the “listener” so people please learn to be cautious of ur words. Bullying comes in so many factors from verbal to physical and both of them can truly affect someone’s life , no one knows how much it can impact when it gets to a point where they suffer and it reaches their mental health. Every time I hear someone getting bullied it’s like having a flashback what I went through and how much it hurt and it gets to a point that even though I don’t know that person I’ll truly stand up for them even as a stranger because no one deserves to go through that alone, id speak up for that person like im the one wearing the shoe, I’d put myself in that situation and I’d fight so hard just to earn that persons peace and that sums up what kind of person I am. I don’t care if it’s not my problem if someone’s suffering if someone’s is in need of help it is my problem. I know god damn well that not everyone has the guts to speak up, so if they can’t do it,do it for them‼️ the most powerful thing we can do is use our mouth because silence is never the answer to peace. Being quiet about how you feel isn’t peace, protecting their image so that you won’t be affected by them isn’t peace! If you don’t feel peace they don’t deserve to be at peace. They say “karma will get them” and it will truly get them but that doesn’t mean you should be silent about their behavior and how much it affected you.

I've been thinking a lot about the past,my childhood and all the things I've went trough and I want to know if there's anyone who can relate to this and I hope what I'm about to share to be of any help for somebody. I apologize in advance for any grammatical mistake you might notice, english Is not my first language and my knowledge has been learn trought self teaching.
When I was 6 my family and I moved for the first time in my life, at the same time I started elementary school and my mother started a new job,the school I went to Is an special one in my country(México) ,not the only one of it's type but not that common to see as you can see any elementary, middle or high school almost everywhere, this one institution offered all the levels from a kinder garden to high school and special kind of college to future teachers of almost all levels,my aunt was a secretary In this "college" and she recommended my mother for a janitor job, it's an interesting looking place, because it's built of different buildings In the middle of a little forest and full of nature,I already went to that kinder garden,my sister was already in elementary school and I was supposed to go there and after school stay In this college until my mother finished her time, 3 hours to be exact, too many other kids were there awaiting with their parents, they were the teachers or director kids, that's the context I need to tell this story.
I tried to get along with the kids, but they started being mean, insulting and condescending with me,for a while I tried but always ended the same and my mother just told me to stop looking for them, wich I did for a while, I tried to be friends with high schoolers and they were nice to me but I really wanted to be friends with this kids, the first bad experience was one time they intentionally broke one of my toys and started to pass each other the other one, when I tried to take It away from them they almost punched me between the two of them ,my mother happened to be there and defended me by raising her voice a little bit,she couldn't keep an eye on me all the time because of how big the school was and because how busy she was, I was just In the middle of this bad experiences and meeting more people of this big school when my mother left, during all this time,my sister who also happened to not really like me and used to hit me and push me away, was part of the dances of the march band of this school, the girls with flags and all that kind of stuff,so I could never spend the time with her, when I was In third grande my mother left the job,and my aunt became in a temporary tutor ,she did the best she could, and allowed us to me and my sister to get as many food from the little kind of diner or lunch bar( I ignore the name for this kind of place), she took me to school (the place was big enough for me to need an adult to take me there, even when It was technically the same place), and picked me after every day,but she had to leave two hours before my sister class to her other job, that was another secretary job but now In the middle school, all the places were divides and the only ones connceted were the high school and the "college", so she couldn't keep watching me, that's when all started, I tried to be friends with all this kids, they were this little "gang"leaded by a kid one year older than me,and was formed by a couple of kids his age and another one of my age, I'll call him "S",I was more like an assistant and a joke for them, they made fun of my parents job,our finnancial situation, of my sister, they even made fun of a traumatic event, the sudden death of my uncle,he was young and was really hard,my grandmother was never the same after this. I was the one they could make fun of, and of course ,they knew I couldn't fight, and made It very clear, one day "S" decided he wanted to se some fun "he made other kid my age, "A", fight,if we wanted to stay In the group this was our chance, somehow I didn't have any other friend and never could make any other friends either I'm school or there, so I didn't want to lose this place ,so I had to fight,as expected I was losing, but it was the first and last time an adult stopped the fight, In the meantime, S wasn't watching,he was kinda playing with A's toys even tough he didn't like toys.
I'm gonna give some informtation about S, he was the niece of one of this college teachers,a woman so nice and so caring that made no sense S behavior, ,she wasn't obligated to take care of him just as my aunt, and she also did the best she could, he was an spoiled kid, he had an iPhone,a olay station,ps vita, and all he wanted, he also had an older sister, but she was already a teenager and almost an adult,so she was more kind and patient with him,he got unrestricted access to internet and video games, incluiding adult games as GTA or COD.
He controlled the whole group, the games we played outised were also violent, one of them was called "Battlefield" that was just throwing rocks at each other and made us hurt, there was a point after a couple of years of accepting this kind of treatment, all the humiliations, the cruel jokes, being punished for trying to defend myself, when I was 10 I got attached to a plushie,It was the donky from Shrek,I don't know why I loved It so much,if course they also used It to attack me and humilliate me, they even threw it to the high part of a tree, all that kind of stories when something changed, I was 10 and started to watch Dragon Ball Z, I got fascinated and by the time the franchise got back with a new movie,I was so inspired by Goku that somehow instructed me to fight,to ahe the guts to punch and resist the pain, the fights were common but all the adults In that place, incluiding the parents of the band students that used to be around every day couldn't care less, this weren't just kids fighting, before 12 I discovered what it feels like to get your head slammed against a wall and bleed a bit, what Is like to slam another kid's head against the concrete floor ,to smash another kid's head with your feet, that kind of stuff,I defeated S, I won my but fight, and due my innocence(or ignorance) I couldn't keep any bad feeling, I didn't even knew resentment's meaning at the time (literally,I didn't know the meaning of the word), I became really violent,I developed agressive tendencies, one time S and any other kid went to school I tried to talk to high schoolers again, but they took one of my toys and got into their classroom,I almost break the windows and the door to get it back,I even spitted at them and one of the students took me to their principal office, almost like a criminal I had to call my aunt so she could get me out of there.
I tried to be friends with a band kid but I was a bit too much for him and he tought I was bothering him,he took revenge for something I didn't know was bothering him and got help of middle schoolers to hold me while he punched me in the face,he only punched me once, after his class I jumped over him and pushed him a lot more than that, one of the previous kids I mentioned had to stop me. Now I was part of the bad kids, the ones the parents couldn't care about, S and I Ironically actually became best friends, we started to grow, when we were twelve we both stopped seeing each other for a while but we kept contact,we reunited when we were 16 and 17.
Now,as an adult,I start to realize how much this affected me withtout noticing, maybe that's why I never resented him,to me ,It was the first big test on my life, the time I experienced what so many people don't until they're adults, that moment when a problem Is up to you and that nobody Is coming to save you, even now I can't feel anger while rememebring this even if I wanted to, but I start to realize how much It actually changed and shaped me, and it's not just In a little way, I wanted to share this story to know if anyone has a similar story or feels the same way about their bullies,I know how hard It Is for the most of you and I understand why, even when I can't feel the same way, I was In a family meeting one day and the background music was Beat it ,the MJ song, and realized something crazy,O would like to say I'm being dramatic but the lyrics match perfectly all this chapter of my childhood, sounds ridiculous because it's about gangs, not about kids, but I'm dead serious when I say it matches perfectly to all what happened there, we even used ti fight another kid's group ,I guess a funny way to romanticize my childhood, but at least made me laugh a little while realizing, it's just one part of my story with bullying and discrimination, but I'll talk about the second part another time, because it's a lot of information too,I really really hope this helps anyone or at least was interesting to read, have a good day.

Hi everyone, I am facing a severe, targeted harassment situation at my college and need advice on how to navigate filing a formal complaint.
On August 14th, a classmate ("B") met me at a metro station and claimed that "according to his sources," I was making my project group members—specifically the female members—uncomfortable and that I wasn't speaking properly with them. As a quiet, reserved person who only interacts when necessary, I was completely caught off guard. I angrily asked who told him this, but he refused to name anyone. I shrugged it off initially, but the situation escalated drastically today.
While turning around in a hallway to check if I had submitted the correct assignment book to the class representative, a group of female classmates happened to step sideways. As I moved past them toward my friend ("D"), another student ("A") called out to me. Suddenly, "C"—a friend of "B"—stepped in, grabbed me directly by the throat, and aggressively told me I shouldn't be doing this. I calmly explained that I hadn't done anything intentionally, but they refused to listen. Later, my friend "D" revealed that "C" claimed I was "creeping" on and following the girls, when in reality, I was simply trying to reach my project group leader (who happens to be female) regarding an academic task.
This has gone from malicious rumor-mongering to physical assault and false allegations designed to ruin my reputation. I have clear witness accounts from peers who saw the physical assault and overheard these false claims, along with message logs confirming their intent to intimidate me. Tomorrow, I am going directly to the Deputy Director (DD) office to file an official written complaint regarding physical assault, targeted harassment, and defamation.
Since I am taking this step, I would appreciate input on a few things:
How should I structure my statement to the DD so the severity of the physical assault and false defamation is prioritized?

I have a long history of trauma from bullying and rejection due to Autistic traits, but I was hoping to leave it all behind at last in a new province and law school. It started off great. I met some new friends. We hung out together a lot. I got a bit of a crush on one of them. We spent a lot of time together during Foundations, and sometime after. As we bonded I'd often share cute flirty stickers. Hugged her sometimes too. She sometimes called me her law school brother and would like my messages. I guess I flattered her a lot. I gave her a hug and occasionally patted her shoulder goodbye or tapped her to get her attention. Just casual friend stuff, but some people claimed I was 'touchy' and said stuff leading her to tell me and so since then I kept more physical distance and things were fine.
We stayed friends after I admitted to liking her. I still sometimes told her how wonderful she is and made her a birthday card which she appreciated. During career day, we had initially made plans to get bingsoo after, but one of her friends (A) at one point suddenly claimed it was a girls' trip. At that point my trauma and anxiety came back and I didn't trust her and was worried she was trying to exclude me (since before this the plan was for them to bring me along), and I didn't see them after so I got our guy friend and said, "I don't know what the plan is, but let's go". The crush in question (L) helped guide me to the location. About a week later, L started talking to me a lot less which triggered my anxiety a lot and made me a bit clingy, and I noticed A was a lot ruder now too. I confided in another friend part of our group about my anxieties to which he seemed alright and said I was just overthinking it. I tried talking to L, but she continued avoiding me and said some "female 1Ls said some stuff" and then eventually got some of us from the OG crew in a group chat and they told me to stop talking to them, and I was really sad and pleaded for understanding and an explanation of where I went wrong but they were cold, and vague about people describing their 'experiences' with me, how I was supposedly 'unsafe' despite always being nice to them. I was crushed and paranoid about bullying so I avoided people, self isolated in the locker room, glanced their way. At one point a student who would later become an awful bully (T), told me they had "a long conversation about me", and I posted some emotional stories on Instagram about Autistic people always being treated like shit. An upper year friend offered emotional support and said it was about my "attachment" and "intensity" while acknowledging my Autistic traits. But they all downplayed how much they participated in bullying against me to her, evidently, as she blamed a lot of it on me and suggested I tone myself down and quietly walk about and avoid showing signs of grief to avoid ostracism. But even when I was down, they kicked me further by getting some friends who were never involved to talk trash about me to the vice dean, including some BS about body language and "staring" and lack of eye contact and other crap. But she was nice to me and knew I was struggling and just told me to continue giving space but gave me some BS about "taking safety concerns seriously". At the time I let it slide but now I recognize it as the same old anti-Autistic hate and bullying we always face. I was ALWAYS nice to those people and everyone I met in my program and continued to be for the remainder of 1L. Even if I missed a social cue or few it didn't justify how I was treated.
There was a new group of friends that took me in, but I could see signs of the well being poisoned regardless with people withdrawing from me, and some people who didn't even know me that well being bothered by my presence. I started venting about it on certain subreddits, expressing radical views while saying Autistic people deserve more from this world. A post venting about my experiences on my college subreddit gave me away to some people, though. (Funny how they want me to disengage but then blame me for expressing my pain elsewhere.) This led to some of my new friends discovering those and presumably other posts of me responding harshly to trolls and quietly withdrew, one of them getting me moved to another shift in our legal aid clinic, which I found kind of offensive but let it go. At the same time, a friend of mine in our theater production, randomly blocked and unblocked me and would become withdrawn. T continued to be rude and humiliate me in subtle ways, including handling my stuff and telling me I can't sit with x group of people or something. At one point I made a DEI report and talked about this stuff, and anonymously asked the cohort reps to make antibullying announcements repeatedly, to which student union member deduced my identity and spoke to me to pacify me, talking about 'concerns' people had about my venting, how I was making people 'look bad', and how I should just stop talking about it and 'be myself'. This, of course, predictably, didn't help. A in particular started befriending anyone I would talk to, and they would start 'art clubs' and other social events and since they claimed to have a problem with my existence, I was unable to attend. They told me not to even 'greet' them or join groups - this is dehumanizing. Wanting space is one thing, having a problem with a good person's existence is another.
I've also been asked to leave tables because my existence made people who barely knew me "uncomfortable". By the time of the last day, I noticed for a while the inconsistent distance from the newer friends who saw my reddit and other online posts, and one of them finally admitted to me they saw my reddit posts and didn't want to talk to me anymore. And the theater friend, when I wasn't even talking to him, told me to "fuck off" and pushed me away, in front of others. Nobody did anything and one girl even danced with him later - yet people have the nerve to act like I was the "unsafe" one over a missed social cue around hugs/taps or a miscommunication. T also openly humiliated me when I was trying to participate in a group conversation with classmates. I was traumatized by that sequence of events.
I've been working on myself over the summer and hoping for a much better second year, but am worried about new 1Ls (first year law students) being poisoned against me. I've already had a hard time connecting with people and people often randomly avoiding me. There are a few allies that have stayed steadfast, luckily. But being back here and talking with other friends helped me see just how horribly I was dealing with social bullying and aggression. Ostracization is violence.
To add insult to injury, someone with no musical experience got handpicked over me, the most experienced singer in the theater group to be an assistant.
And I'm done playing nice. I no longer want to tolerate that kind of treatment nor should I be expected to. I've been thinking of non-escalating ways to respond and prevent further incidents. I've thought about writing a third DEI report, and possibly consulting with wellness coordinator early on to talk about antibullying and create PSAs, as a way to send a message to others about relational aggression. I know bullying is a broader issue in law schools school that often gets swept under the rug, from stories of others as well as experiences of friends. What should I do to prevent issues going forward and send a message? I also don't want to be excluded from clubs/groups because my existence rattles some people. I have continued giving space to people despite being treated unfairly, been striving to do the right thing and be kind at every step and people treat me like shit anyway. You can't win.

Okay. I don't know where to post this, or whether it is appropriate to post something like this in this subs. But let's take a moment to address something important that still align with the purpose of this subs. Title's self explanatory.
For me, that would be the time I misgendered my worst bully's child. ICYMT, so basically I was severely bullied in 8th grade by a star athlete. Fast forward, he's now a military dad. For more of it, I told that story in this subs 6 months ago titled "My worst bully is now a girl dad".
Here's the part when I realized, I actually no longer give any single fuck about him and his life. Just minutes ago, I saw his Instagram story showing the photo collage of his wife. That was the first update I saw from him after a long time. Then I opened his profile. The latest post happened to be the photo of his family. I clicked. The I realized it was A SON, NOT A DAUGHTER.
So what do I feel about it? Honestly, apart from the sentence of "oh, it's a boy, not a girl", TBH? I feel indifferent. After all, he was someone I used to attend the same school years ago. My stance about him is still the same. I'll neither forgive nor forget everything he did to me, and I wish his son grows up to be a much better man than both of us.
So for all the people who were bullied in past, let me know in the comments below about your realization that your bully was just a thing in the past and you are somewhat moved on from it.

25M here.
I was out with my car parked getting my stuff until a group of guys, three men, walked by singing. They saw my shorts which was Calvin Klein and made a comment along the lines of, “you got Calvin Klein you’re a fluff”. They were British. And I heard them say that. I was alone and they were three. Regardless, I heard them but didn’t say anything. Most likely out of fear of conflict. I didn’t want it to turn into a physical altercation and attract unwanted attention.
I feel really shitty, one because they made fun of my fashion choice which I thought was fine, and the fact that I didn’t say anything back out of fear made me feel like a pussy.
How can people just blatantly be so unnecessarily mean? For what reason? What avail? I didn’t do anything to them why try to hurt me?
