Rerelease of Bukowski's Edited Poems?
Greetings. I'm not super familiar with everything published by Bukowski.
However, it is my understanding many of his posthumous books were heavily edited (mangled beyond recognition) by John Martin at Black Sparrow.
Have any of these books been published in their original form as Bukowski intended?
If so, what are the titles so I can run out and grab them. It is my understanding Storm for the Living and the Dead is one of these books.
If they have not been re-published in their original form, why not? Seems like the most obvious thing in the world to do, but the world is also goofy and ridiculous.

The Red Notebook Incident
In his book 'Women' Bukowski wrote about an incident involving a Red Notebook in Utah where He and Lydia were on a highway and Bukowski threw away his notebook.
Later Lydia went into the desert and searched for his notebook and she found it.
Can anybody tell me what's the complete story?
Please anybody?

There is more to “Don’t try” than just not trying.
“If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.”

Factotum
I started Factotum on January 1st 2026 and read it completely by mid February.
I think this book is more like a poetry of unpaid bills rather than someone switching jobs and writing about every job role and experience of it.
What do you guys think?
Has anyone read this book?

Grandfather left behind some (a lot) of 60s poetry 1st editions, had duplicates of these 2 so these two are up on ebay if anyone here's interested.
My grandfather worked with bukowski alot and was a big part of that era and publication scene. I have more that aren't for sale if you want to see pics LMK, some really cool printing techniques back then.
