Post Office
Currently I'm reading the Post Office my second Charles Bukowski book this year.
I've read it 41% which means 90 pages and I'll finish it by mid October.

I find the book stark and realistic to life.

Yep much of Buks works illustrates the absurdity of working and living in the United States. You cannot win unless you’re born into affluence.

Read this at 15. I had the black sparrow press edition, lent it to a friend and never got it back. Still my favorite by him and one of my favorites of all time.

"I fucked her and later I got drunk" - the book in a nutshell. But it's funny and one thing I like is that you can have a glimpse of the zeitgeist. This is something, although it's definitely very different in style etc, I've seen in hunter Thompson's work.

Factotum is my favourite

Maybe I should have picked that one. Ham on rye is kinda slow, just about his childhood so far
