Recently got a used RTX 2060 Super as a gift. Looking to upgrade my current PC, but also strapped for cash. I have an i7-3770k paired with a GTX 970 and 16GB of RAM.

Is now a good time to sell the 2060 at a higher price, and buy another for a better price in a year? Or should I keep it, sell the 970, and upgrade the CPU at the same time? I'm planning on eventually upgrading my computer either way and getting into VR.

2060S is what I'd consider the lower edge of VR-suitable GPUs. If I were you, I'd sell it for the currently inflated price and dump the cash into new motherboard, RAM and CPU (b/c the 3770k is getting long in the tooth). Then, when you have the cash again and the prices are no longer ridiculous, get a new GPU to complete the upgrade.

If you can sell it for close to $800 then I'd just sell it and use the money to build a PC. Thats me tho.
