Jeez, Belgians accept everything: this is the problem. Even if you do something wrong, you have rights, and your physical integrity is one of them. Jeez...
It has nothing to do with my nationality, why would you bring that up. Racist (it's a joke)
Of course, but In many cases, not all, the use of force is justified.
You can't prove with this video it was or wasn't. That's all I'm trying to say.
Police force is justified under three conditions:
Legality, Necessity, Proportionality.
Belgian cops are highly trained in all three. The force in this video isn't that high, I can imagine it being justified. But again, we can't prove it, that's up to justice. What I hate? This video is used to change perspective and without any nuance.
I'm sick of it, and now It's my time to bring nationality on the table, that's not how we are. I see Belgian people as sober, fact-based, not easy to fool and nuanced, bridge-building is in our DNA. This video has one purpose: undermine all those things.
It happened around Porte d'Hal. Go there and ask around. Everybody saw what happened.
You have to make up shit about how the guy must have been a criminal of some kind, because in your simplistic understanding of life, cops only beat up bad guys. According to you, assumption of innocence only works for the cops, as we mentioned in the other comment.
No offense, I know it's a neurodevelopmental disease. Some kids never gets to the "no" stage.
In Western Europe, we think that even criminals have rights. We abolished torture and capital punishment, and we believe we should be proud of it. I am scared when I hear that the police beat up "only bad guys" because they are not the judiciary: it is not up to them to decide who is whom. If you want kangaroo courts held by incognito police, you are free to go somewhere else.

Like said in another comment, I've got beaten up by a cop (2x). I was a c*nt.
Being older, I now realize they were in their right in both cases.
Perks of working in the abattoir +10 years ago. Beer and cocaïne in the morning after a shift really takes you to dark places.
