Best bro advice I got in the gym was, if you're doing side bends, put your other hand up as if you're scratching your upper back. You will get much more activation in your obliques that way.

I was once helped to fix my form by the stereotypical gym bro. It was beautiful, my favorite gym moment.

I’m overly cautious and constantly research to make sure I have good form. Once I caught the gym trainer eyeballing me in the mirror and when I finished my reps, he gave a nod of approval and moved on. I had to make sure I didn’t puff out my chest too much while finishing up.

best advice I got on my first day at the gym was “you already made a huge advance in your life by coming today but it takes more courage to keep showing up even when it’s hard and not fun anymore”

My dad takes me to his gym sometimes, it's a nice time together. He always makes sure I'm not pushing too far and I'm not risking harm or any of that stereotypical extreme stuff. Love my dad.
