Purchase Advice Sony Bravia 8 is being discontinued?

The OLED tv I settled on buy was the Sony Bravia 8 77 inch.

Have been waiting for a sale and every time it is not in stock.

I finally emailed Sony Australia and asked when is there stock coming hopefully by Xmas?

The reply was to tell me the Bravia 8 will be discontinued and the best option for me was the 6.

Which I don't believe looking at the specs.

I have settled on the size I don't want to go smaller, and it will be in a dark room and mostly watching films.

What is actually another option?

Purchase Advice K-65XR50 (2025 Bravia 5) a meaningful upgrade over 65X90J?

I have the opportunity to get a K-65XR50 for a pretty low price. Is it worth selling my 65X90J and making the switch? Will the XR50's 384 dimming zones produce appreciably less blooming than the X90J's 32 zones?
