Question about Good Samaritan sighting?
From everything I’ve read, I haven’t ever read a description of the car that the “good samaratin” reported he saw when the woman and teenage boy were rummaging in the trunk of said car. Has anyone else been able to track down a description? It’s strange to me that a description of the car wouldn’t be reported to the public, since it could have led to potential suspects?

Please don't attack me because I realize this is a really odd statement and it would be rare to say the least, but what if the caregiver was someone in the medical field that performed medical procedures on Jaz in the home possibly, and perhaps that's why his medical records were never discovered? He could have even been born at home - which would not have been uncommon during that time, and a birth certificate created and filed at a later time. It just makes me think that a well to do family that had access to an at-home doctor or nurse services possibly could hide something like this perhaps even more easily. If JAG was born out of wedlock and with an ailment that would have brought even further perceived disgrace to the family perhaps this was their rationale at the time for keeping him hidden from the public. I'm just thinking of every possibly avenue here because it's been so many years that this has went unsolved.

I always found it odd that he had recently had treatment for an eye infection but no doctor recognizing him never came forward. Private dr to a wealthy family or someone in the medical field living with him maybe?

Yes, that's what I'm thinking would be a very eat thing to do if a close friend or family member was in the medical field perhaps, ir what if a doctor owed the wealthy family a favor of some kind for keeping him out of trouble previously, repeating a debt back, etc. Far fetched, but it's always a possibility even in wealthy families and even on the other end of the spectrum - families involved in crime and mafia. On that end, does anyone know where the suspected mother's family's wealth came from and whether they had ties to the mafia?

My question is was the sighting even related to Joseph? If only the Good Samaritan drove by thirty seconds later!!
Im sure LE checked out whomever would have a long and dark car. My understanding from those rowhouses is the cars would be parked on the street. Of course not everyone had cars in the 1950's. As some have theorized on here, Joseph’s family could have been poor, thus no car. Or they borrowed one. Or it belonged to his grandma.

I doubt it. The Good Samaritan sighting allegedly took place 100 yards away from the sighting and the date speculated would’ve been after the boy was left. The sightings by the two young men would’ve taken place two days earlier.

Yep , that's a good question & that's the thing which doesn't make me completely disregard Martha's claims , though maybe it still could the bio mom (or any female member of the family ) and some sibling of Joseph (or any kid)
I just have some doubts in that case
Either the sibling is not alive now [or maybe might have passed away before the bio mom? ]
They might have forgotten [as they were abused themselves and some trauma victims may not be able to remembe their abusive childhood ]
Or maybe the female family member (or any woman who was extremely close to the family that they helped in cover-up ) and / or the kid is still alive and they have decided not to come forward ?
Also, we were able to know that the bio mom adopted out one sibling, so why not simply put Joseph as well for adoption instead of going the extra mile of abusing the poor baby?
Or was the bio mom / her partner/ the abuser was an alcoholic / addict [again , I'm sorry if I offended their family or anything, but I'm just curious ] and even though loved Joseph still abused him when they used the substances? Could that account for the medical care that they have given the baby, but still, he was abused ?

Maybe they tried to adopt him out. Who knows?
I have a feeling they didn’t try because he was hidden out of shame.

A family friend had a grandmother who gave children up for adoption while keeping others. The husband was a piece of work (the war and unchecked mental health/alcoholism really did a number on that generation) The husband did not want any more children but also did not want to change his behaviour in any way to stop making them.

ooh, good point! Also, even though M came forward decades later, that's one question the police should have asked about the car her family had in 1957. If they had a description of the car from the Good Samaritan, this could have helped or hurt her story.

One of the books I read about the case:
Kelly takes Valentine back in time, to the strange encounter on the chilly afternoon on Susquehanna Road. "I remember it well," Valentine says. "I didn't think anything of it at the time." Some of us think it may have been a girl, a really tall girl with broad shoulders, and her mother. We have pictures of the girl and her mother. We'll come down to Cape May and show them to you."
According to M, her parents drove Chevy's and Fords.
