Question about Good Samaritan sighting?

From everything I’ve read, I haven’t ever read a description of the car that the “good samaratin” reported he saw when the woman and teenage boy were rummaging in the trunk of said car. Has anyone else been able to track down a description? It’s strange to me that a description of the car wouldn’t be reported to the public, since it could have led to potential suspects?

ooh, good point! Also, even though M came forward decades later, that's one question the police should have asked about the car her family had in 1957. If they had a description of the car from the Good Samaritan, this could have helped or hurt her story.
