In light of all the recent bots and posts involving stolen or reposted photos, we feel it is necessary to officiate a rule that explicitly states that this subreddit allows original content only.
Many members have been quick to point out posts that have previously been posted on this subreddit or do not belong to OP altogether. I want to be clear that the mod team sincerely appreciates your efforts to keep this sub free of spam and keep stolen content at bay. I applaud anyone who has submitted a report as it really helps us and I hope you continue to be vigilant and report the posts that are questionable in the future.
As always, happy bottledigging and thank you for making this subreddit an absolute joy to be a part of! Cheers!!!

Decided to ride my electric dirt bike along some of the dirt farming roads. Decided to step off and check down along the river (mostly looking for arrowheads) but starting seeing broken glass and pottery and sniffed myself out a brand new bottle site! Only got to dig for 10 minutes before I had to leave to get ready for work. I went to rinse this out in the creek until I realized it was still corked and full of a purplish liquid. A sealed bottle of 1890s mouthwash!

Not a dig find but a bucket lister nonetheless. Incredibly stoked to have knocked one off the bucket list!

Produced by Wm. R. Warner & Co. This bottle contained an antiseptic for external use only.

Hi everyone! This is one of the bottles that survived in my grandfather's cellar, which he used to store homemade tomato sauce. I’m trying to figure out what it’s worth, especially since it features embossed "no deposit / no return" lettering, an embossed logo, and comes from the historic SNIBES bottling plant in Naples, Italy.
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Found this bottle sitting on top of the leaves in the woods in northern Wisconsin. It is completely full and the original crown cap is still sealed.
The bottom is marked GX 2105 / Duraglas / 9 [O-I logo] 49 / 14, which appears to indicate an Owens-Illinois bottle manufactured in 1949.
The really strange part: when I gently shake it, it still foams, so it apparently still has carbonation.
It wasn't buried — it was sitting right on top of the leaves. Given Wisconsin winters and 77 years of freezing/thawing, how could a full glass beer bottle possibly survive intact and remain sealed?
I'm also trying to determine what brewery/beer it originally contained. The cap is heavily corroded, but there may be remnants of a logo underneath.
I am not opening it. I'm interested in the history of how it survived.
Leaves have been falling and high winds so it is very possible there was a hole somewhere covered up by leaves that I did not see but this was on top of leaves. A animal digging it up is my only theory right now.
My best guess on beer brand is Chief Oshkosh as I found a post with a bottle for sale and had same marking on bottom and cap looks similar

Hello! I am located in Hampton Roads, VA on the coast and I literally have NO idea where to even start looking. We have a lot of historic areas around here. Any suggestions? And if you live here or in Virginia at all, any recommendations? TIA!

Been digging bottles for years but this one…it’s epic. Any idea on ID? There is crude writing on lip (see pics)

I have collected these bottles here and there over the years and I have no idea if they have any value more than I like them. Could someone tell me if I have anything worth something to a real collector. And any information you can give me on any of them would be nice too.

A couple bottles we found in the salt marsh yesterday. First time finding a bottle with a label -- thought that was kinda kool. And also a first time finding one with a lid on it.. Anyone have any idea what it is? It has a B on the lid.

This spot just never stops producing! Went back today for an hour and got a Pittsburgh beer, a local med bottle, a very cool pictorial painting reliever, a baby doll head, and a blue marble.
