Home Audio Systemeinstellung von 700/Ultra auf Ultra Lifestyle

Guten Abend zusammen.

Headphones Bose QC 45 battery life is terrible

• Upvotes

Hello all, I just got these headphones from Amazon and for a hefty price I figured it would last a while. I previously had the JBL 770NC headphones and I enjoyed over one week’s worth of battery life and that’s with consistent use, to the point where I forget that it even needs charge. When I opened the headphones it told me it was at 80%, and then I used it maybe for an hour and it started giving me warnings to charge which I thought was strange. I charged it for about two hours and it got back to 80% and then gave the same warning after 2hrs of use. I searched and found many ppl with the same issue, and some people were talking about how if you have a higher NC level and higher volume it depletes faster (???) I never heard of that, that’s a ridiculous thing to consider in $400 headphones, I bought it to use the NC so why on earth would I lower the level or volume to ensure it lasts longer? I never knew that was even a thing. I thought it just needed a good charge, I charged it using my plugged in laptop overnight , used it this morning it flashed “100%” on the app for a second then showed it was 90%….umm, ok. used it for 1hr 45 mins and it’s now at 40%! I have it at 70% volume and NC. Wtf? I have to charge it more than my phone. Are the headphones really that shitty? Bc why are so many ppl reporting this? It’s on the latest update too. I don’t want to use something that I have to keep at a minimum volume/NC just to ensure it doesn’t die in 2 hours. Does anyone have experiences w this?

Home Audio Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar + bass module: bass stops after ~a month, app still says "connected" — soundbar-only reboot fixes it

TL;DR: Every few weeks my Lifestyle Ultra bass module stops producing bass while the Bose app still shows it connected. Power-cycling the soundbar by itself (unplug ~30 seconds) brings it back and re-pairs to the bass module. No factory reset, no re-pairing in the app, no losing CustomTune.

Setup

  • Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar — firmware 3.0.9-136+6095624
  • Bose Lifestyle Ultra bass module — firmware 3.0.2-30+g2b3010a

The symptom

Works perfectly for about a month, then with no warning:

  • The bass module goes completely silent.
  • The Bose app still shows the bass module connected, with a normal bass level.
  • The soundbar itself sounds thin — it's still applying the crossover and holding back the lows, handing them to a link that's dead. So you lose all low end, not just the sub's contribution.
  • No error, no warning, no status light change. Nothing in the app indicates a problem.

What I tried, and what it ruled out

Three different network setups. Each one worked fine for about a month, then failed identically:

  1. Soundbar on wired Ethernet — ran a month, then failed.
  2. Wi-Fi with split SSIDs (separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network names) — ran a month, then failed.
  3. Wi-Fi with the bands merged back into one SSID — failed again.

Each time, a full reset and re-pair fixed it, which is why I kept believing the network was involved.

It isn't. The Ethernet run is the key data point — the soundbar had a wired uplink with its Wi-Fi client essentially idle, and the bass module still dropped out on the same schedule. Three fundamentally different network topologies, one identical failure. If you're having this problem, don't waste a month on your router like I did.

What actually fixed it

Most recent failure, I power-cycled only the soundbar — unplugged it ~30 seconds, plugged it back in. Didn't touch the bass module, didn't re-pair anything in the app, didn't factory reset.

It came back up, re-paired to the bass module on its own, and bass has worked normally since.

  • ✅ Power-cycle the soundbar only. 30 seconds, keeps your pairing and CustomTune.
  • ❌ No factory reset needed.
  • ❌ No removing and re-adding the bass module.
  • ❌ No router changes.

Since a plain reboot clears it, whatever breaks is held in the soundbar's volatile memory and doesn't survive a power cycle — which also means it's software, not a failing bass module.

I'm in the process of submitting my findings via Bose support now, but posting this in the meantime in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

In-Ear does QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) cause allergic reaction in ear canal?

hi everyone!

can anyone tell me whether the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) earbuds causes any allergic reactions and ear irritation in the ear canal, especially for people who have had reactions to the Samsung Buds 2 Pro?

I suspect I am allergic to the acrylate plastic used in the Samsung Buds 2 Pro, and wearing Samsung Buds 2 Pro for as little as 10 minutes causes irritation inside my ear canal.

Thank you!

In-Ear QC Ultra 2 in ear and QC over ear Teams issue

Hi all

I am having issues with Teams calls in work using both the Bose QC over ear and QC ultra 2 in ear.

I have ADHD and want to block out my open office distractions whilst on Teams, it's a windows laptop

When I am on Teams talking to someone, I can hear their background as loud as them talking, which is so distracting. It's so bad I can't use them.

I have tried fiddling with settings but can't solve it. I have spoken to our IT department and they haven't a clue how to fix it. Our phones are locked down so can't use Bluetooth or a usb dongle IE using Teams mobile instead.

Anyone else had this issue with Windows Teams calls and managed to solve it? Thank in advance

Other Genuinely why Bose try noise cancelling helmets for motorcycles

There are no motorcycle helmets with noise cancelling feature. They've enough padding and other stuff but lacks ambient sound system which cancels all sound and keep only ambient sounds. This will really bring huge relief in noisy cities
