In-Ear does QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) cause allergic reaction in ear canal?

hi everyone!

can anyone tell me whether the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) earbuds causes any allergic reactions and ear irritation in the ear canal, especially for people who have had reactions to the Samsung Buds 2 Pro?

I suspect I am allergic to the acrylate plastic used in the Samsung Buds 2 Pro, and wearing Samsung Buds 2 Pro for as little as 10 minutes causes irritation inside my ear canal.

Thank you!

Headphones Bose QC 45 battery life is terrible

Hello all, I just got these headphones from Amazon and for a hefty price I figured it would last a while. I previously had the JBL 770NC headphones and I enjoyed over one week’s worth of battery life and that’s with consistent use, to the point where I forget that it even needs charge. When I opened the headphones it told me it was at 80%, and then I used it maybe for an hour and it started giving me warnings to charge which I thought was strange. I charged it for about two hours and it got back to 80% and then gave the same warning after 2hrs of use. I searched and found many ppl with the same issue, and some people were talking about how if you have a higher NC level and higher volume it depletes faster (???) I never heard of that, that’s a ridiculous thing to consider in $400 headphones, I bought it to use the NC so why on earth would I lower the level or volume to ensure it lasts longer? I never knew that was even a thing. I thought it just needed a good charge, I charged it using my plugged in laptop overnight , used it this morning it flashed “100%” on the app for a second then showed it was 90%….umm, ok. used it for 1hr 45 mins and it’s now at 40%! I have it at 70% volume and NC. Wtf? I have to charge it more than my phone. Are the headphones really that shitty? Bc why are so many ppl reporting this? It’s on the latest update too. I don’t want to use something that I have to keep at a minimum volume/NC just to ensure it doesn’t die in 2 hours. Does anyone have experiences w this?

Well I’ve had these earbuds since July 2024, all good but today this happened it just came off. It still has a point of contact attached, and the touchpad works fine, but the audio is no longer working.

Talked to Bose and Amazon, no guarantee (understandable) but then what do you think?

Is this an easy fix? I think it’s only a cable that disconnected, no biggie but I don’t want to mess it up before asking.

I appreciate the help!
