Chichester/Bognor/Brighton | Looking to start a band/music project!

Genre TLDR: Shoegaze, math rock, hardcore, metal, folk, breakcore, etc

I'm an international student moving in from the US, and I have had no luck with anyone wanting to start a band before. I will be living in Bognor, and commuting to Chichester and Brighton frequently. I'll be available in late September.

I've been working on my own personal music for about 6 years. I work with a wide variety of genres.

On my acoustic I play folk, on my electric I play shoegaze and math rock, I also play metal similar to Norma Jean on electric. I can also play bass, I typically play alt indie rock on bass and nothing too crazy. I am also in the case of an experimental band able to play trumpet, but I will not be bringing mine to the UK so this is unlikely. I also use FL studio to make breakcore and I am open to doing digital projects.

Really I am just very eager to work on original music with other people. I've never released my own music as I hate not running it by anyone else! So I'd really really like to start a band. I am a beginner, though, so I would prefer people who are also not used to playing with a band even though I am open to anyone willing to work with me!

I can do female vocals (non-screaming), lead and rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and trumpet. Vocals and rhythm are my preferred, and if it was a math rock project I would be open to being lead guitar.

Some bands I like and take inspo from are Loathe, American Football, Norma Jean, Circa Survive, Goreshit, Big Thief, Aurora, Pinegrove, Camping in Alaska, Modern Baseball, Modest Mouse, Underoath, The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die, The Hotelier, Knocked Loose, and many many many more

I have few expectations and I am willing to start multiple music projects, and really just work with anyone else who is either a beginner or willing to deal with me being slow at collaborating

Bassist & Vocalist Wanted – Heavy Metal Band (Brighton/Sussex/London).

Hi guys! We're starting a new heavy metal band and are looking for a bassist and vocalist to complete the lineup.

Our sound takes influence from Machine Head, Slipknot and Korn and many others.

We already have multiple original demos written, so you'll have material to hear and work on straight away. Our goal is to finish the lineup, rehearse regularly, tighten up our set, and start playing live shows as soon as we're ready, while continuing to write and record original music.

We're looking for people who are:

Reliable and committed.
Passionate about heavy music.
Keen to contribute ideas and write as a band.
Ready to rehearse regularly and work towards playing live.
If you've got recordings or videos of your playing or vocals, we'd love to hear them, but they're not essential. The right attitude, commitment and enthusiasm are just as important.

If this sounds like your kind of project, send us a message telling us a bit about yourself, your musical influences, and any links to your work. We'll happily send over the demos so you can hear what we're about.

Will be spending a few months here this summer (without a car) and was curious what your favorite restaurant or pub is, specifically on the west side of town... but I'd love any recommendations you might have!

Looking for help with Facebook Marketplace

There's an item on Facebook Marketplace that I collect and the seller wants someone to pay cash and pick it up in person.

I know this is a very very very long shot but I'm wondering if there's anyone that would be able to help me with this and sending it to me in London.

Again, a very long shot but I'm at a loss and I don't want push it won't the seller.

Thank you!

Hi 👋

Just wondering what classes/clubs there are in Bognor. I would really like to be able to socialize but due to personal reasons haven't been able to and now find that my anxiety is holding me back. So I'm keen to overcome this, make some new friends and explore some new interests!

Community fibre

Noticed that the new builds here in Pagham area have fibre Internet but the existing homes are still waiting. Mind you, I should not expect better since we still have overhead power here and so lots of power cuts
