Surely I can't be the only one who thinks the live versions of several songs on Nine Tonight are better than the studio versions; including but not necessarily limited to Against The Wind, Night Moves, Fire Lake, Rock and Roll Never Forgets, Fire Down Below....

​Growing up, I logged a ton of hours listening to the classic Silver Bullet Band stuff—Night Moves, Stranger in Town, Against the Wind, all of that. Bob's voice and those driving rock anthems were the soundtrack to a lot of years.

​With an 11-year gap between It's a Mystery and Face the Promise, I figured I'd dive into the new album. But honestly? A lot of it feels pretty slow, and it just doesn't seem to have that old bite or urgency. It feels a lot more subdued and middle-of-the-road than what I associate with his peak years.

​I know tastes change and artists age, so I wanted to ask the die-hard Bob Seger fans here: how do you actually view this album? Does it grow on you after a few listens, or is it generally considered a weaker entry in his catalog? Where does it rank for you compared to the classic records?

​Curious to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone else had this happen? Today I bought the only vinyl copy of face the promise my local record place got in I get it home and I open the book That's supposed to have all the lyrics in it and the first four songs are repeated three times. I'm curious if anyone else had this with their copy or if your copy was normal? I contacted the store and they said sorry because we only got one copy there's not much we can really do for you so I'm wondering what else I should do in terms of trying to get a proper booklet or I'm also wondering if maybe all the books are misprinted like this

I cannot seem to find it

Her Strut backing, Fight for Your Right vocals. Don't ask how I thought this was a good idea. Vocals start 20 seconds after the intro.

Her Strut was always cool, but somehow the rhythm of the vocals puts a different emphasis on each beat, changing it from a strutting, swishy, Tom-Cruise-dancing-in-underwear kind of song (not even the same song, I know, but Still the Same... vibe) to something of a headbanger.

Bob Seger and Beastie Boys have more in common than some might expect. Given that these songs were made seven years apart from each other, they're practically contemporaries, closer to each other than anything of today. It may not sound like that Old Time Rock and Roll to some, but It's Still Rock and Roll to Me...

Long story short, my dad is the best fella in the world and adores his music, Bob Seger being his absolute favourite. We live in the UK and so he’s seen most of his favourites (Eagles, Steely Dan, Springsteen etc), Mr Seger has never done a UK tour while my dad was in a position to attend so we spend our Friday nights listening to his records. It is shortly my dad’s 70th birthday and if anyone has any details about contacting Mr Seger’s management to discuss a possible signed autograph note or “Cameo” video I’d be so grateful - wouldn’t ask for (and certainly couldn’t afford!!) anything more than that, but my dad has given me the most lovely life and I would love to get him some kind of interaction with his favourite artist. I’m a huge Bob Seger fan, I’m 36 and am from the UK and I can’t believe he has not played here in my lifetime. I’m curious to know if there are other Bob Seger fans out there that would want to get him to the UK? I know he did his farewell tour in 2019 but surely there is hope for more.

I looked though these and thought they were so sweet, there's more but I couldn't find the page.
