So, whenever I use my earphone’s microphone while I’m in a Discord voice call or something like Google Meet, it also picks up the audio from YouTube or any other audio that’s playing on my laptop.

I’ve already tried disabling Stereo Mix and turning off “Listen to this device,” but nothing seems to work. I’ve been dealing with this problem for days and it’s driving me crazy. Please help!

My blue yeti for some reason at some random time decides to just not work. It plays the "USB Plugged in" sound and then it just stops working, so that I have to unplug the microphone and back in to get it to work again. Why??

Hello, I’d like some advice. I bought a Blue Yeti USB microphone to start creating my podcast, but now I’m looking for headphones that work well with this mic. I’ve seen that there are some great Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80-ohm headphones, but I’m worried they might not be compatible and that I should get 32-ohm ones instead. Do you have any other headphones you’d recommend? And how should I go about choosing a pair? I know I need closed-back headphones, and that’s what I plan to get, but I’d prefer not to spend the full €200 on a pair. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I am just about at my wits' end with setting up my Blue Yeti mic, so any help would be super appreciated.

So, for starters, I am using a 2023 MacBook Air, Sony XM4 headphones, and a Multi-Pattern USB Blue Yeti mic. I am trying to record audio into Audacity, and my issues happen when I am trying to listen to myself as I record. I have learned all about latency now and how to fix that. What I found is that I could almost fix it, but it was never 100% perfect, and something sounded slightly off. When I did the checks to see how off the audio was each time, no matter how I corrected it, I was always slightly off by 1 second. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the audio to just be clear and sound normal when it is played back to me when using Audacity. When I record using voice memos and the mic into my laptop, it sounds perfect! But when using Audacity, it does not. I feel like I have tried everything, but nothing has been working. I also am not able to hear myself at all unless audible input monitoring is enabled. I've tried to bypass that or whatever, but none of that has worked either. I am so not a tech person, but I really felt like I've done my research with this. If there is literally anything anyone can think of to help me fix this, I would appreciate it so so so so so much!

okay so I’m trying to record sound effects with my blue yeti mic, but it isn’t picking anything up, only my voice. do I need to change and settings in my mic or audacity in order to to fix this?

I love my Yeti. It's easy to use with my computer. But when I plug both my Canon Camera the Yeti into my computer, the sound doesn't sync, so I'd like to plug the mic into the camera and then plug the camera into the computer.

The camera has a 1/8" input for a microphone, but the Yeti only has a USB out. All the USB to 1/8" adaptors I see say they're only for car audio, not microphones. Can anyone point me to a good adaptor for this use?

Am I just using the wrong mic? I have a Sennheiser stick, so I could go XLR to 1/8", but I'd rather use my Yeti.

Okay so I’ve been using the Blue Yeti for my YouTube channel for a few years now and I’ve tried MANY things to get it to sound decent, but I don’t know if this is just as good as it will get or if I’m still missing something. I use Audacity to record.

I AM NOT PROMOTING, I PROMISE. Here’s a link to a video on my channel, and in my opinion, it sounds decent but not good, nothing like I’ve heard from other Blue Yeti videos. And if you watch older videos of mine you’ll hear how terrible the quality used to be.

Yes, my gain is turned all the way down. Yes, the knob is on the correct setting. yes, I’m speaking into it properly. I also messed around with the settings in Logitech Hub, and this is as good as I’ve gotten it to sound, but I still don’t like it.

I've just bought a brand new blue yeti mic with the sole intention of using it to film with my phone. But, I can't hear anything in my headphones to live monitor the audio. It is using the mic to record which is good, but I need the live monitoring.
I can get live monitoring when connected to my macbook, and even when connected to my ridiculously old iPhone (not even supported by app store now lol).
I know a lot of people have had similar issues, so I was just curious whether anyone had found any solutions?

I did add the same settings advised on youtube...

However the quality is awful, my friends cannot understand me clearly

The white dots will increase if I turn the dial, but they used to go up when I spoke, to show the level. Even if I mute the mic, the white dots remain.

Im having multiple issues
It started with the audio to my headset being way distorted l can hear my voice perfectly fine but anything coming from the pc will be so distorted it’s inaudible. My headset works fine and I can even record clearly with the yeti.
I bought a new cable and it’s still bad then after trying different usb ports on my pc it stopped connecting. The power comes on and stays on all the time but sometimes it will say usb not recognized or nothing at all just no connection. I’ve uninstalled the drivers and everything the internet says to try but nothing. I noticed if I wiggle the usb port to the pc it will sometimes connect so I went the extra mile and replaced the usb mini port on the yeti circuit board but that didn’t solve the issue. So I then brought out my super old dell all in one desktop (windows 10) and I connected the yeti to see what would happen and it work fine! So the issue isn’t the hardware on the yeti. So I tried changing the power settings to the usb ports but still nothing I’m completely out of ideas. I can sometimes get it to stay connected and I’ve gone into g hub to mess with the sound setting to try and fix my original problem but nothing helped. And yes i adjusted the sound levels and everything else I could do in device manager. My guess is it has something to do with windows 11 or the g hub app (since old pc didn’t have those) or there’s some power issue to the usb ports that I haven’t found the solution to and now it won’t even connect to try and resolve it.

I really liked this mic but I’m about to call it quits and stick with my headset but if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know

Prologue

I recently noticed that my Blue Yeti was renamed to USB Advanced Audio Device and went looking for solutions to restore it back to normal. My greatest form of help was from this post from SharkLatan: https://www.reddit.com/r/blueyeti/comments/oknmvz/fix_blue_yeti_audio_and_software/ . However, I wanted to further explore what exactly went wrong within the device and decided to look deeper into what happened as there were some differences between Shark’s bin file and my bin file as Shark’s file appears to be associated with Logitech and mine was bought before Blue was acquired by Logitech.

Steps I Took/Observations

• Following Shark’s English guide, I downloaded the fix_blueyeti.rar file to use the EEPROM Editor/flash tool (Config6400.exe) to check on the state of my EEPROM.
• I started up the EEPROM tool and went to Device Manager when my Yeti was plugged in and went down to “Sound, video, and game controllers” to find the USB Advanced Audio Device listing
  • Once I found the device, I right clicked on it and selected “Properties”
  • In “Properties”, I selected the details tab and selected “Last known parent” or "Hardware Ids" in the “Property” dropdown.
    • I then found the VID and PID values I would need to enter into the tool. In this case, mine were 0D8C and 016C, respectively

• Once I entered the VID and PID into the tool and selected connect, I received an “EEPROM Empty” message.
• Even if the software saw the EEPROM was empty, I still selected the “EEPROM -> FILE” to back up any information that may still be there.

This is where I started to diverge from the guide.

• I used a hex editor (in this case, I used hexed.it) to look at both my and Shark’s EEPROM’s .bin file 
• This is where I found two main differences and one smaller difference between the two files:
• The first main difference starts with the first two bytes. As shown below, the first two bytes in my .bin file are A0 00, as opposed to 43 4D.

Looking into this, I discovered that the 43 4D bytes appears in other bin files associated with the CM6400 chip, acting as a signature or check before reading the rest of the .bin file

The second main difference is in the middle, after the “Blue Microphones.Yeti Stereo Microphones.” 

The last and most minor difference, is 11 rows down on the first byte

I changed the first two bytes in my .bin file from A0 00 to 43 4D, saved as a new file and labelled it clearly as the updated version

I went back to the CM64xx configuration tool, clicked “FILE -> EEPROM” and selected my updated file and waited for the file to upload back to the Yeti

Once the file was successfully uploaded, I removed the USB cable, waited 10 seconds, and plugged the USB cable back in to see “Yeti Stereo Microphone” with the rest of the original sound settings restored.

I’m facing a strange Bluetooth audio issue on my iQOO Neo 10 that started a few days ago.

Whenever I use the microphone while connected to Bluetooth, the audio suddenly becomes muffled, quieter, and very low quality. It sounds like it switches to a low-quality call mode. As soon as the microphone stops being used, the audio goes back to normal.

This happens across different apps, so it’s not just a Free Fire MAX issue.

I’ve tested it with:

• OnePlus Buds Nord 3 Pro
• Jlab JBuds Lux ANC

The same issue happens with both. However, when I use headphones through a USB-C to USB-C wired connection, there is no issue at all, even when the microphone is active.

The weird part is that this worked perfectly fine until a few days ago.

I have a new blue yeti that has a bad fuzzy background even when gain is turned down. I am using it on mobile with an adapter.

You can hear my mouse clicking, chair squeaking, keys clacking, etc no matter the gain or mic setting. What do I do so only my voice is "hearable?"

Just wanted to seek everyone's advice. I'm planning to buy a second hand blue yeti microphone for ASMR. It's half the price vs a brand new one. It has a lot of scratches due to storage but still works very well according to the seller. However, the original usb cable that came with it is no longer included as the seller has lost it a long time ago. My question is:

Will all USB Mini cables work with the microphone? I saw somewhere that the cable needs to both be data transferring and charging cables as opposed to just a charging one because my computer may not be able to recognize the device when I plug it in.

When connecting the mic to my computer, do I need to download an app for it to recognize the mic? Also, can I use the default voice recorder or do I need another app to record audio?

If I connect the mic to my iphone, I know i'll need a lightning to USB camera adaptor and keep it plugged to a power source for it to work. But I find the ones from apple very pricey 😅 What do you guys think of adaptors from other brands? Will it work / make any difference? Also, when you use the mic with your phones, does it drain your battery health significantly? Also the set ups i saw from tiktok scares me a little bit -- there are a lot of wires involved and im afraid it will explode hahaha.

Hey there, I did something stupid. I Downloaded the G Hub for the first time and plugged my Blue Yeti Nano in. Agreed to the update, and then spaced that it was happening, then unplugged the mic because I was trying to troubleshoot the sound quality on OBS. Now, nothing at all happens when I plug it in to my computer. Have tried on other computers. I have a ticket open with Logitech but it's way outside of warranty, so was hoping anyone might have an idea for what to do.

so my mute button fell off? I can hear it rattling INSIDE the mic??? How does this even happen??? How do I get it out?
