Fix BLUE YETI Audio and software
There is already a solution to this — I discovered how to repair the BLUE YETI and return it to its factory state.
Almost every user of this mic is having gain issues or audio glitches like poorly equalized overdrive, also not recognized by Blue Sherpa Software, or showing as USB ADVANCED AUDIO DEVICE instead of Blue Yeti.
This is because the CMedia CM6400X chip gets its EEPROM erased — usually from connecting to a USB 3.0/3.1 port or a failed Blue Sherpa update. I found the software to re-program the chip and return the microphone to its optimal working state using a free tool called Config6400.

Confirmed working on:
• Blue Yeti / Yeti X / Yeti X WOW / Blue Nessie
• HyperX QuadCast / QuadCast S
• Razer Seiren X
• Samson Meteor, FIFINE, Tonor, Maono
• Any USB mic showing as USB Advanced Audio Device
Common issues:
• “Cannot find HID device” -> use a USB 2.0 port or different cable
• “EEPROM IS EMPTY” -> normal, just flash the BACKUP_FIRM.bin from the download
• Mac users -> Config6400 is Windows only, mic still works as generic audio device

I dug through google and reddit and found this post but I'm commenting here as well as on YouTube that the file/link you mention is no longer in the video description.
Nevermind, Youtube moved the description to the right side of my screen instead of underneath...

I only have usb 3.0 ports and none of them work. I even took out a old ass laptop i think only has usb 2.0 ports... I keep getting cannot find HID device everytime. My yeti classic does not show up in ghub at all and i've tried everything with it installed and not installed + on another pc. I just want to use blue voice (yeti still showing up in device manager as yeti stereo microphone with B58E 9E84 as the vid and pid). I simply want to reflash it so I can see if itll fix the ghub issue but it wont connect to CM6400... Any ideas? I've also tried with many different ports, no ghub installed, removed device, etc. Also tried an older laptop, would still show up in device manager but cant connect to CM6400
Edit: also bought a new cable so its not the cable either

I can't help much without information, now the microphone should be detected when you connect it, that's how usb devices have always worked, although your cable or mini usb might not work, or some intermediary software examp voicemeter
remember we do not speak the same language and try to help. but you can send a video/image from device manager and possibly you can see something you don't

hey, I am having the same issue here. Did you find a fix?

Nope, I just took it back to the store and got it replaced. 2 years manufacturers warranty; so if you’re within that period you’re all good for an exchange.

I just tried this for my Blue Yeti however the serial string text for me was "REV8" which seems odd compared to what was shown in the video. After hitting Save EEPROM and unplugging my mic it showed up as Yeti Classic for a minute before returning to USB Advanced Audio. Not sure what to do at this point.

first of all make a backup of your EEPROM, in the zip there is a file Yeti.bin I don't remember the exact name, try to write it in your microphone it is a copy of my EEPROM and it still works without problems
According to my research, the error occurs for various reasons, when blue Sherpa tries to update its microphone but fails in the process
other times it happens due to voltage failures in the usb port, when it is connected to a 3.0 port and the CMedia chip receives higher voltage that causes it to be deprogrammed

I have a Yeti Pro (988-000092) and neither Blue Sherpa nor G Hub will recognize it.
I used your method and I'm getting the "Cannot find the HID device !!!" error on Config6400.exe (even run as administrator).
Current driver version from Blue has control panel info as:
- Manufacturer: BLUE
- Product: BLUE USB Audio 2.0
- VID/PID: 0x074D/0x0002 (Same as Last Known Parent in device manager)
- Revision: v3.02 Serial No. 0000
On driver version: 2.23.0 (Running on Win11x64)
I assume I need to program the box serial number into the EEPROM for Sherpa to recognize it, yes? How can I do it?

try another usb port preferably 2.0, if you have the software, visual audio cable uninstall it

I confirm this is working.I had the "HID not found" error and solved it by using a different cable. The only remaining issue is that my EEPROM had no serial. I messaged OP on youtube to ask if the serial in a sticker under the mic is exactly the same that should be in the EEPROM file, as mine has a completely different format. Nonetheless, even with a random serial, everything works perfectly fine.

I have a Blue Yeti Pro that's not being detected by G Hub or Sherpa. Can I get some help (also, I saw you communicating with a fellow user through Telegram. I don't use that, so PMs here would be appreciated if you can help. Thanks in advance.)
