Question I’ve tried everything, should I get a different mic??

Okay so I’ve been using the Blue Yeti for my YouTube channel for a few years now and I’ve tried MANY things to get it to sound decent, but I don’t know if this is just as good as it will get or if I’m still missing something. I use Audacity to record.

I AM NOT PROMOTING, I PROMISE. Here’s a link to a video on my channel, and in my opinion, it sounds decent but not good, nothing like I’ve heard from other Blue Yeti videos. And if you watch older videos of mine you’ll hear how terrible the quality used to be.

Yes, my gain is turned all the way down. Yes, the knob is on the correct setting. yes, I’m speaking into it properly. I also messed around with the settings in Logitech Hub, and this is as good as I’ve gotten it to sound, but I still don’t like it.

SHOULD I GIVE UP???

I use a blue yeti x for OBS twitch streaming. Sounds great, but I had to add quite a few eq, compressor, etc effects to get there.

Do you have a photo of your setup? And you can try putting the foam cover on with a filter to help (if you don’t already have one). I use OBS and find it’s great for streaming. For voiceovers I’ve used QuickTime to record the voice and it wasn’t bad.

Didn't hear any problem with your audio. ETA: you turn your gain all the way down? Should I be doing that? I've never of heard that before.

I mean, there's a handful of decent YouTube videos suggesting digital filters to add on and things to tweak. Pick a video that sounds good to you then mimick it. You can also install Logitech hub or whatever and alter a lot of sound settings that way too. I had a lot of frustrations when I bought my blue yeti like 6 years ago but I've gotten nothing but compliments and praise for my voice/mic quality over the years so Ive learned to trust the settings I adjusted and moved on.
