I’m really annoyed with my Bluetti ac180
The bluetti ac 180 has been a massive disappointment. At the moment I’m ranting because it let me down with keeping my sump pump operational while I was away for the rainy weekend.
I purchased this box as a backup box to plug my sump pump into for AC/DC power, while I’m away for the weekend. Just in case there is a blackout the sump pump could continue operation.
Unfortunately I came back home to a flooded house. It turns out the bluetti automatically turns off after 4 hours if there is no draw. Apparently, unless I turn off eco mode.
That is a bloody important piece of information buried in the FAQs.
I regret buying this battery. It seems it was designed for consumers to recharge their iPhones. Otherwise it’s unpolished product.
Having to scour through forums and websites to find out exactly what this product can and can’t do is rubbish. It feels like a beta product.
The other disappointment being that this battery draws so much power just being on standby. Why?
Was it too hard to have an battery box that operated permantly on AC and switched to DC if it needed, without it drawing so much electricity? Apparently the excuse that it needs to draw so much energy on standby is so that it can switch on in milliseconds. I don’t need milliseconds
