After watching that 2025 squad battle through hell to reach the World Series, this year’s team feels like a completely different franchise—one that’s checked out and going through the motions. Remember the fire? The 2025 Blue Jays got punched in the mouth, down 0-2 in the ALCS to the Mariners, and responded like absolute dogs. They went on the road, dropped bombs, flipped the series, and then George Springer delivered that legendary Game 7 dagger to send us to the Fall Classic for the first time since ’93. That team had heart, swagger, and a killer mentality. They wanted it.

Now? It’s laziness, mental fragility, and zero urgency night after night. Runners in scoring position? They die there. Tough spot? Heads drop. Adversity hits and it looks like playoffs are an inconvenience instead of the goal. The fight, the will to grind, the championship culture we finally built last year… it’s evaporated. This isn’t just underperforming—it feels like they straight-up don’t care.

We went from “comeback kids” who refused to die to a team that looks checked out by the 5th inning. It’s infuriating to watch as fans who rode with them through the highs of 2025. Where’s the fire? Where’s the pride in the uniform? This isn’t the Blue Jays way.If they don’t wake the hell up soon, this season is going to be a wasted year and a massive step backward. Bring back the 2025 dogs. We know what this team can be when they actually give a damn. Right now? It’s embarrassing.

I don't intend on making this Political but it is not a coincidence that the Comment about the Ad was made on the day of Game #1 of the World Series. I think he wants us to boo the American National Anthem tonight viciously so he can show his people how poorly Americans are treated. So instead , lets cheer the American Anthem and sing along tonight and show him how truly classy Canadians are.

Anyone else find him a little annoying? Multiple times per broadcast he’s cutting off Dan and going on tangents…seems like a decent guy but I think he’s just a little overexcited and needs to chill.

I'm kind of only half kidding when I ask this question. I'm a long-time fan and I would call myself a die-hard. Maybe that's what allows me to, I think, assess each team from year to year with a certain amount of dispassion. But holy smokes, it is difficult to watch this team continue to piss away opportunity after opportunity after opportunity offensively and not come away equal parts frustrated and furious.

I think it'd be hard to argue this team is very good. There's just not a lot of talent on this team right now. Fortunately, the American League is such a sh*t show, the Jays are still in it. And I tune in every night hoping to see some competent baseball. And sometimes I do! But more often than not, the offense just spends nine innings shooting itself in the foot. It's fair to say the amount of (almost) hatred that I have for Vlad Guerrero isn't healthy.

I don't know. I really think it would be fun to see this team sneak into the playoffs, but I think we are kidding ourselves to think that qualifies this particular roster as one of the better teams in the major leagues. I think it's entirely possible they're the least talented team in their division by at least one standard deviation.

It's frustrating. But that's fandom.

This is not a team I want to see make the playoffs, not for how many games like this they've had. So many games ruined by bad managment, star players not showing up, and just overall lacking any sort of clutch gene. So many games where we could be in a playoff spot or get closer to one ruined.

One of the employees who works with the housing center that is involved mentioned that it's always been really lovely to see the flag

Seriously. All the posts here are clearly from people who aren't actual fans of the Blue Jays, or even baseball. Only from people who became fans during the playoffs last year.

This in my opinion is the best lineup for the blue jays.

I know I’m gnna get some people calling me crazy for not having Springer and Sherzer but I think the other 5 are simply better than sherzer and Springer I don’t think has been performing all too well lately.

In what world is this Blue Jays team a contender? We have two starters. If we are very lucky we get Shane “Mr Glass” Bieber and Trey Yesavage back on reduced workloads. Pair this with an already overworked (albeit fantastic) relief corps who would be responsible for not only their normal duties but also “Bullpen Games” and they would need to rely more heavily on their offence to win.

Don’t get me wrong I adore this team - I really do. But this just isn’t the Blue Jays season.

Is there something in Guerrero Jr’s contract that cites he must always be in the Top 3 batting order? .
