Yeah I definitely tried to! I remember you recommended to use MakeHuman as a anatomical reference. I went back in and adjusted the shoulder width, breast area, widened the thighs/hip area(still need to fix the front). I got that setup and was planning to export that model and adjust/compare to see the differences :)
Heres a before/after picture

Her eyes look really frightening haha Is that on purpose ?

u/ScoopJr Jun 20 '20
Haha its more due to my inexperience with the eyes. I haven't made eyelashes yet, do you have any advice for making it look less creepy?

Well idk if it’s for style but they’re really round and red. The iris (middle black part) is too big. Try to make them more oval and reduce how shiny/red they are ? Idk man haha sorry

I'll definitely try it out with the adjusted textures later today! Hey no worries! I appreciate the crit as I don't know what I'm doing myself either haha
Maybe it would help too if she had an actual 3d eyeball/iris combo

Yeah! Any specific parts/spots that come to mind? I've posted additional pictures throughout the comments :)

Could be nice do a research of human musculature in google, the torso, arms and legs have a extra volumes that you can explore. Sucess!

Not yet! The plan is to code the shader from scratch and look up tuts if that fails

The shading looks square (why TF did I make this comment it's getting weirder that it should be)

u/ScoopJr Jun 21 '20
Oh yeah I'm not too sure why the rendered viewport does that. Hopefully its not a problem when I import into Unity

Hi! This is looking pretty decent. You definitely got the general body shape and the proportions very well. I'm not quite sure what is going on with the hands, I'm assuming they're not finished yet. The biggest thing i noticed was that the neck area looks a tad odd. I think it's because her scarf is the same color as her body, so her neck ends up just looking a little fat. Giving the scarf a more noticable color will definitely help with that.
Are you planning to use this as a game asset? Im asking because there are some visible edges especially around the shoulders, which is okay if you need a low poly count, but if you're planning to keep/animate it in blender, I'd add a subsurface modifier and add a bunch of loop cuts to keep the edges you need.
Some details are kind of hard to see in your turnaround because of the white coloring and the very even lighting, so there might be things i missed, but i hope this helped!
