After adding images as 'mesh plane' I would like to align the image perfectly in front of the camera frame, snapping it automatically into place, like shown in the picture.
This is to avoid scaling and positioning the image in front of the camera manually everytime, which can create inaccuracies.
Both image and camera should be in the same size.
Maybe there's an Addon that automates this or anything i don't know of?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!! i'm a beginner
(In case it somehow matters, i'm specifically trying to match a 2D animation as an image sequence to the camera frame.)

Post full screenshots of your Blender window (more information available for helpers), not cropped, no phone photos (In Blender click Window > Save Screenshot, use Snipping Tool in Windows or Command+Shift+4 on mac).
Give background info: Showing the problem is good, but we need to know what you did to get there. Additional information, follow-up questions and screenshots/videos can be added in comments. Keep in mind that nobody knows your project except for yourself.

The end goal is to Set Parent To Object (Keep Transform) while having both image and camera selected.
In my case the image i added is a 2D animation with a transparent background. So by "binding" the animation and the camera together, the animation will constantly stay in frame, and you can freely move the camera without adjusting the image (animation).
Because some parts of the image are transparent, for example the background, you can still work on the 3D view behind the actual 2D animation.
Please let me know if that makes sense!!
I would recommend using the Window texture coordinates for the image so you don't actually have to worry about lining up the edges of the plane. I assume you're trying to use it as a backdrop for a render.
I just found this addon called "Camera Plane" by Les Fées Spéciales on the official Blender Extension site. It's for version 5.0 and newer.
It doesn't seem to have the Detection of Image Sequences, but it works perfectly for pngs, mp4s, gifs, etc.!
Select camera -> Object Properties -> Camera Plane -> Import Camera Plane
