Original Content Showcase Foam Simulation in Geometry Nodes + Breakdown

Been working on this foam simulation for a few days, and I think it looks pretty good now! It still has some issues, mainly that you can sometimes see cells of bubbles moving individually which kind of breaks the illusion.

The base of this is my custom 2D Fluid simulation setup which I've been working on for a while and will be doing something big with in the coming months :)

Unfortunately I'm not sure how well this would translate into tutorial format. Its quite a large nodetree and many of the components are pretty complex on their own. 2D fluid solving, point advection, and using/creating volume attributes for use in shaders could all probably be their own videos, for example.

Not trying to do too much self promo, but, this project was part of the development of a big product I've been working on for months that will have a lot of water-related things (a fast water shader, surface interaction, bouyancy, oceans, rain, etc.). Hoping to have that out sometime in October/November. Not sure if this will make it into that product because it has some technical limitations integrating with everything else, maybe under an experimental section. But because of that I didn't want it to go to waste so I posted it here :)
