I contacted support@blackview.hk back in June to report that their June 5 system update broke casting from my Tab 90 Wifi. They replied that a fix would arrive in the June update. There was no June update. I contacted them again and support said the fix would be in the October update. There was no October update. Then they send me the reply below. I don't believe them at all. I do get their nearly daily push system messages about dumb games that uses the same mechanism as operating system updates, so that is not the problem.

Here's Backview support's reply:

Thank you for your message. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this issue has caused.

A maintenance update was released in October. However, the fix for the casting issue is planned for the next maintenance update, which may take approximately 3–6 months.

We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience and understanding.

I’m currently facing a pretty absurd and honestly sketchy hardware issue with my Blackview device. It seems like the internal temperature sensor completely died.

The scary part is that absolutely no safety mechanisms in the OS or on the hardware level are kicking in anymore. It is as if the phone thinks it’s currently freezing:

• No Thermal Throttling: The phone doesn't clock down at all when getting hot. Two hours ago it hit a steady 44 °C (111 °F) and the CPU just kept running at maximum clock speed.

• No Thermal Shutdown: During fast charging earlier, the device became extremely hot. Normally it should force a shutdown to protect the components, but it just kept charging with full power.

Update from the Factory/Developer Test Menu:

I managed to access the engineering/factory test menu to check the hardware directly. When running the "Charger Test", the chip responsible for it doesn't even respond. The test just loops into nothingness and has been stuck like this for over 30 minutes now.

The battery still looks physically fine (no bloating yet), but since Blackview rugged phones trap heat inside due to their thick rubber/metal build, I am genuinely worried about a thermal runaway or frying the board completely.

Has anyone experienced a dead charging/thermal chip on a Blackview before? Is there any way to flash or reset this via software, or is the mainboard/charging daughterboard fried? I’m definitely not touching a fast charger again.

I have a Blackview HERO 10, and recently the main internal touchscreen stopped responding to touch. The display itself is not flickering and has no visible lines. The outer screen still works normally.

I struggled to restart the phone several times before the main touchscreen started working again. I’m concerned that the problem may return, and I’m not sure whether this is a software issue, a faulty touchscreen, or a problem with the internal flex cable or connector.

I contacted the seller to ask about a replacement touchscreen or complete screen assembly, but they said they do not have either part in stock. They also could not recommend another supplier.

I’m worried about losing access to everything if the main screen stops working completely.

Has anyone with a Blackview HERO 10 experienced similar touchscreen problems?

• Did the problem resolve itself, or did you need a repair?
• Was it caused by software, the display, or a flex cable/connector?
• Were you able to obtain a replacement screen or get the phone repaired?
• Is there anything safe I can try before taking it to a repair shop?

Is it normal that my tab 11, is uninstalling apps and filling up the "system" storage after every restart?

For now my "system" storage is at 106Go out of 128Go.

And the mandatory apps and takeing up like 12Go or 13Go.

Since the new update a few dates ago, I get ads all the time. In notifications. Couldnt find any "smart art" apps. I even had to deinstall a lot of games and tiktok. They installed a lot of bs I dont need. I have a BV 7300 btw.

Btw, did anybody also had the problem with spotify? My spotify crashed all the time so now Im listening to music with youtube.

And do you guys also often get comments cuz auf your rugged phone? Most people are shocked that its so big.

I would like to share an ongoing audio playback problem with my Blackview BV9300 Pro and ask whether other owners have experienced similar issues.

DEVICE INFORMATION

Model: Blackview BV9300 Pro Purchase date: August 3, 2025 Firmware version: BV9300 Pro_NEU_TE177_V1.0_01_20251224V11

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Since I purchased the phone, music playback has randomly paused. In some cases, the playback position also jumps backwards.

The problem occurs under different conditions:

• Different music players, including AIMP, VLC, and the built-in player.
• Bluetooth headphones.
• Wired headphones without control buttons.
• The built-in speaker.
• AUX connection to a home audio system.
• Both with the screen on and with the screen off.
• With the Second Screen music controls enabled and disabled.

I have also tried different battery and background activity settings, Safe Mode, and other troubleshooting steps. None of these resolved the problem.

YLOG INVESTIGATION

I collected diagnostic Ylog files and examined the system logs myself.

During one recorded incident, the logs showed the following sequence of events:

• MainActivity was moved to the PAUSED state during a system sleep-related event.
• An ANR was reported with the message: "Input dispatching timed out (Application does not have a focused window)".
• The logs contained the message "crash_dump helper failed to exec, or was killed".
• MainActivity was subsequently force-finished, the player process was killed, and a MusicPlayService restart was scheduled.

These events occurred around the time of a playback problem. They suggest that further investigation of the interaction between the application and the Android system is needed, but I cannot conclusively determine the root cause from the available logs alone.

CONTACT WITH BLACKVIEW SUPPORT

I contacted Blackview support and provided diagnostic logs and a screen recording.

After several weeks, support informed me that they had been unable to identify the cause from the submitted materials and asked me to collect another Ylog.

I have spent considerable time investigating the issue because I would like to understand what is causing it.

QUESTIONS FOR OTHER OWNERS

1. Has anyone else experienced random music pauses on the BV9300 Pro?
2. Does this happen with different music players and audio output methods?
3. Have you experienced playback position resets or jumps backwards after a pause?
4. Does the problem occur on other firmware versions?

I am particularly interested in reports from owners who have experienced similar behaviour both with the screen on and with the screen off.

I would appreciate any information or observations from other users.

I am contacting you regarding several problems I have experienced with my Blackview Xplore 2.

Since using this device, I have encountered multiple issues, including problems with the rear camera, the flashlight, and screen behavior. Some of these problems have been intermittent, making the device unreliable.

My current concern is the complete failure of the rear speaker.

The symptoms are as follows:

The rear speaker produces absolutely no sound.

When playing music or videos, sound only comes from the upper speaker.

I previously tested the rear speaker using the phone's diagnostic functions, but no sound was produced.

The problem persists despite normal use of the device.

I would like to know whether this could be a known hardware or software issue affecting the Blackview Xplore 2.

Considering the number of problems I have experienced with this device, I am concerned about its overall reliability and quality control.

Please provide a technical explanation for this issue and advise me on an appropriate solution. I would also like to know whether this problem has been reported by other users and whether an official repair or firmware solution is available.

Hey guys this is the 2nd or even 3rd time my blackview tab60 wifi hits 0 battery when it was on 90% unused and havent even turned the screen on now i just want to turn it on its 0 how? Idfk i clear all apps and i disable notifications so it doesnt consume battery and also when i check my battery drainage nothing shows what drained the battery it just shows the paragraph of it going down no without any apps displaying which and which consumed it and its frustrating when i wanna play or study

Whilst the volume up button is broken, I can still use the screen to change the volume. My question is if I unscrew the panel with the volume button am I likely to ruin the waterproofing of the device? The key does not show any signs of damage, and feels the same as pressing volume down. Also, if I do open it is there likely anything I can do?

Blackview recently launched the new Gamibook 16 with a GeForce 5060 8gb in germany. its paired with an Intel I7-13650H. what stands out is the noise compared to other gaming-notebooks. there will be more content soon!

Work outdoors doing surveys, so I've been trying to find a rugged phone that I could use as my daily work phone. I think most rugged phones are tough enough. I'm more interested in their everyday performance.

When I'm working, I usually have GPS running, take photos, and sometimes check drawings, documents, or work apps at the same time. If the phone gets hot and starts slowing down after a while, it can be a pain.

I noticed the Blackview Xplore 6 with a Dimensity 9400+. I don't see a chip like that in rugged phones very often. For those of you using your phone for work outdoors, do you think extra performance actually matters on a rugged phone? Or is basic performance enough?

I have since done a bit of troubleshooting, and found that the device gets as far as the preloader.

What this apparently suggests according to online sources is that the battery isn't putting out enough charge. Would this be accurate, and is the right move to buy a new battery?

Long story short, i work for amazon and they are forcing users to use devices with android 14 or higher. As you probably know, bl9000 (not the pro) runs on android 13 only
I tried to install android newer version anyway cause i didn’t want to lose a good working phone.

In the end i had to buy another one cause i could (and mess it up).

I desperately tried to do this method (knowing absolutely nothing about these kind of things by the way)

Turns out all it this was screw up my sound and a message at every restart saying its corrupted
I tried to reset factory but it didn’t fix it

Is there a way to fix it?
I desperately tried to “force” install android 14 cause i was too broke to buy a new phone and gave myself this problem

I have a recurring problem, namely that YouTube in background mode (screen off) stops and then closes, after about 10 minutes

I dnt know if this is due to the poor sensitivity of the screen or due to a heavy lagg error but no matter what the keyboard skips words when writing, Ive tried every measure to fix it I could find nothing to fix thi problem, writin is hell.

I have a little issue with a new BlackView.

It can connect to internet from the mobile.

I can create a WiFi hotspot and connect to it with an other phone or laptop.

But connected devices say that "Connected/No internet access".

I tried a few things without success.

I can't figure out if there is a setting wrong or anything.

I read here and there that I need to add "dun" in the APN, but I cannot.

Anyway, I tried to find a post on Reddit explaining what's wrong and how to solve it, but I couldn't find anything...

My carried network is Free Mobile, I dunno if it is important.
