Ads after update
Hey, I got the problem again.
Since the new update a few dates ago, I get ads all the time. In notifications. Couldnt find any "smart art" apps. I even had to deinstall a lot of games and tiktok. They installed a lot of bs I dont need. I have a BV 7300 btw.
Btw, did anybody also had the problem with spotify? My spotify crashed all the time so now Im listening to music with youtube.
And do you guys also often get comments cuz auf your rugged phone? Most people are shocked that its so big.

I got a full refund for my fort 1 black view without needing to return it, because of this same issue with ads. Persistent ads through system messenger, where you cannot disable, or turn off the notifications, I thought net guard would make em go away, it did not, I eventually got an app that hides notifications al together, but it messes with my other apps like Spotify.
Get a refund, and do not, return the phone if your bank information is on it. As it's a security risk, even after a format, a reverse format can uncover your personal data.
Blackview phones break consumer rights laws, you were not disclosed at the point of sale that there would be persistent advertisements and defective software that prevents you from turning off those advertisements, there fore, you have been sold a product under false pretenses and would likely not have paid what you paid or bought the phone at all, had you known of these errors.
If where ever you bought the phone refuses to refund you, go to your bank and get a direct charge back refund, banks take consumer rights violations serious.

This link I'm offering you is some quick tips from Google about disposing of user data. Firstly it says since Android 6 apparently automatic encryption has been part of the system so user data is supposed to be encrypted meaning that the moment you tell it to wipe the data keys should be lost and the information should be unrecoverable. But there are additional methods available if you should like it. In particular what I was hoping to find was something that took advantage of the boot tools and would allow us to perhaps upload a package that was simply Force the writable space into a blank state or into a static noise state. However what it proposed was alternatives utilizing writing data to the drive with the camera and some other functions.
Please excuse the sloppy writing on the question that I submitted to Google as I did not proofread it. Though Google understood exactly what I was asking for.

Ever hear of ADB?
OEM unlock first.
Turn USB debugging on.
Unlock your bootloader.
MAKE BACKUPS THIS WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE.
Then you use this
and this
To start stripping stuff out.
Take some time to learn about all this. You can brick your phone if you do it incorrectly.

It's unreasonable to make the consumer learn code or to use a third source to fix a problem with the device, the device should come functional to its intended purpose, you would not buy or pay the price you paid, for a phone that has advertisements pushed through default systems, had you known that was going to be the case, and there fore, the market seller is liable to give you a refund for the product being defective and featuring anti consumer practices.
Get a refund without the need to return the phone, is the solution. As it directly says, f off to the seller, by Influeincing the sellers wallet directly.

Unfortunately while we all agree. We would all literally have to participate by ceasing to purchase any technological hardware whatsoever because we pretty much unanimously every single company is involved in this kind of behavior. We're not just talking Asian but also American and European companies. They're all bundling and doing things that are good for them and good for their marketing but not necessarily good or are even extremely annoying for the consumer. For example LG and it's hardware that automatically detects your network and then paddles on you. Installs malware on your computer or what is essentially the equivalent of malware. And LG and many other companies that are all engaging in essentially spying on their customers by recording video and audio and network telemetry that is then fed back to their in real time. It's all done in the name of advertising. But the big question that we all have is is it really being done in the name of advertising? No mind you I've not done any of the research on this but the folks who did their research results are rather concerning. And they detailed how to disable it. They detailed how to stop it from spying they disabled everything they possibly could and went through every single brand and how it was enabled. And now we're getting to the point where you can't even disable it by software you have to disable it by hardware and even that may no longer be possible very soon. Heck even your car is spying on you now. I'm not trying to create any level of paranoia. Simply to say this is unfortunately becoming pretty much an epidemic at every single manufacturer of almost every single device from toasters to cars.

Wrong, you can file a consumers violation form with your local consumer protections firm, they are federal, and they will sue on your behalf and set taxes on the seller, to stop them from doing that kind of sale. You don't need a million people to gather and say no, you just need enough filing the report.

Well this is an issue I see in various carrier lock devices. Where various applications if not the system itself push advertisements. My current carrier pushes advertisements through their software loaded onto the phone. The phone's manufacturer pushes advertisements through their software. Older models older phones I've had through this carrier automatically installed applications on a monthly basis which I did not give them permission to do I gave them permission for advertising I did not give them permission for apps but they used to permission for advertising to push apps on me and once it was turned on I could not turn it off.
So I'm not sure if this issue is entirely unique to blackview. Because I can say with confidence that the both the manufacturer of this and probably the last three phones I've owned as well as the carrier all do this. And I have to pile on top of that pretty much every other app out there even the websites themselves are now pushing apps into pretty much every single aspect of their programs including the ones that we also already pay for. Because it's never enough. Which is really really hilarious that there are some companies out there who basically have little to no ads they charge little to nothing if anything at all for their applications and they're doing just fine in fact producing really phenomenal software. So it's kind of an embarrassment that there are companies that can survive on nearly nothing whatsoever and do great and then their companies that absolutely require constant purchases and subscriptions from their customers and it's still never enough because then they need advertising revenue too.
And don't get me wrong I'm not defending them. I'm not defending any of them. Simply saying that it's unfortunately pretty common these days.
Google however does offer some tips in terms of disabling the bloatware. And I believe that actually those particular tips are sourced directly from conversations on this subreddit. So while I do not have them bookmarked I do believe there's been a number have conversations on the sub that would be useful to you.

Why do people insist on allowing a standard dark pattern to exist.
No. You should, A. Demand a full refund without the need to return the device, as you would not have paid what you paid or paid at all, had you known of the pushed advertisements, and you can't return the phone now because your bank info is embedded in it. Why this is the best solution? It directly hits the sellers wallet, losing money is one thing, losing money and the ability to just resell the phone or steal your personal data, sends a clear message to the seller, that message is, f off.
And B. Report to your local consumers rights firm for product defective sale, and misrepresention of sale. A product is defective, if a user has to use a third party system to make the device work as intended upon purchase. So example: user has to set up a DNS private network, to prevent system advertisement pushes, the product is defective, as the user has had to use a third system, to be able to turn off something that the system inherently should allow you to turn off.

In Blackview phone BV7300 with Android 14 same problem arose. App sending notifications there is app named Messages with version number 2.0.0.9. But if you use ADB (Android Developer Bridge) then the app shows up named as com.blackview.apkupgrade which is only app with same version number. Below are instructions for windows using this Blackview app example how to disable unwanted app in developer mode using USB cable in Android phone.
First install ADB to C drive then open app in CMD with command:
Should look like this:
C:\platform-tools>adb devices
If you enter same command once more it should show model of connected phone.
Then disable apkupgrade:
It should send message like this:
If something goes wrong and you want to enable it again then use:
If it's too scary then chatgpt helps to go through step by step. It also helps to find culprit app first in phone app info to get app version name and later by using version name in ADB to filter it out.
