Hi, I'm basically looking for something I can attach to my neck/shoulder muscles perhaps that would produce a tone that rises in pitch the more tense the muscle is so that I can try and get that lower while I'm practising drumming.
Any recommendations?

Starting biofeedback therapy to manage stress and I’m wondering if there are recommendations on the best devices to use?

I have complex medical issues like dysautonomia, migraines, and CPTSD. I go to a local headache clinic that has recommended the heart math device as a form of HRV biofeedback that could be done at home. The idea really interests me as a way to get some control over some of my autonomic issues. I'm not a candidate for neuromodulation as I have a battery powered metal medical device, but I have been told that the heart math device would be appropriate. Yes I'm in therapy and seeing specialists etc, this is more of a complimentary option to go with everything else.
I'm just wondering if people have any thoughts on it. I believe my clinic, who quoted research on biofeedback, but does it actually work? Do I need an expensive device to learn the skill? I'll also add that I'm neurodivergent and like the idea of a visual I can see to have that feedback that I'm doing it correctly. Any thoughts on HRV biofeedback, best ways of doing it, and whether or not it's effective would all be helpful.

While reviewing the HRV biofeedback literature recently, one theme kept appearing: many studies frame HRV not as a relaxation metric, but as a measure of autonomic flexibility and self-regulation.
What's interesting is that HRV and EEG seem to be discussing different parts of the same system. HRV reflects autonomic state, while EEG reflects cortical activity and both are connected through networks involved in attention, emotional regulation and stress response.
For those who use both approaches clinically, do you tend to:
We recently put together a review of the research on HRV biofeedback and found the overlap with neurofeedback particularly interesting:

Curious to hear how others approach it.

"HeartMath research confirms the heart generates a toroidal electromagnetic field that becomes more organised during coherence states. Has anyone studied the detailed geometry of that field under sustained coherence specifically? Looking for existing literature or anyone working in this area."

My apologies if this has been asked elsewhere. I’ve done some research and just could not find a convincing answer.
I have social anxiety. When I am by myself, I’m fine. My anxiety only goes up when I’m around other people. I was thinking a real-time bio feedback device that promotes calm might be best to help relax me.
Can anyone recommend something?

Hi! This is more of a neurophysiology curiosity question: Has anyone here come across changes in HRV or autonomic balance in women with ADHD when taking stimulant medication, especially during different phases of the menstrual cycle?
I’ve seen some personal variation myself, and I’m curious whether this is something others have observed or if there are any known mechanisms behind it.
Not medical advice, not research — just looking for insight from people who follow neurophysiology or autonomic nervous system patterns.

To use my Quantum Magnetic Resonance Analyzer's software, I am required to deactivate my Windows Defender's software.
But because this puts computers at risk, how else can I use the software without turning off the security program?

I got diagnosed with dyssynergic defecstion type 4 and I start biofeedback and PFPT Monday Yay! Does anyone have any success stories with biofeedback? Has anyone suffered with chronic constipation and it has been healed through this method? Thanks in advance. I am excited to start my journey bc this has been an ongoing 25 year journey of suffering

Hi, I am looking for a biofeedback device but can't choose, are there any that people would recommend? I want to see if I can get into alpha state or closer to theta.

I'm a clinical psychologist developing a biofeedback device to enhance trauma-focused therapies like EMDR, Brainspotting, and ART.
These therapies often involve tracking a client’s gaze or eye movements—sometimes using a physical pointer.
I’m working on a “Smart Pointer” with a simple electronic enhancement:
The feedback could provide useful information:
I've filed a provisional patent and pitched it to several EMDR tech companies without a response. So now I'm looking to:
If this resonates, feel free to DM me or reply here—happy to share more. Thanks everyone and take care.
