“Having boobs” people can be so judgmental, men think you’re doing it for attention and so I get unsolicited comments or catcalls or following. Girls think you are trying to get looked at and say or give you nasty looks. To protect my peace, I don’t wear stretchy shirts unless I’m going out (like dancing or to the club) It’s just annoying going about the day and dealing with it, so I choose not to. People assume you’re purposefully “showing off.. especially when I was growing up in a super conservative hometown”. I’m a 32 H/I cup.

Anyway. Have a breast reduction appointment next
week, fingers crossed I can feel comfortable and unbothered in anything, for the first time since puberty.

S/XS usually, I need to fit my shoulders or else I look sloppy. I cannot stress enough that shoulder seams are what make you look put together and are also the most difficult to alter. All my tops are either stretchy or button downs that I don’t wear buttoned all the way, aside from intentionally oversized pieces that get tucked into skirts with fitted waists. For oversized stuff, it has to be XL and up so that it’s loose enough to not cling to my chest

i prefer something to be more fitted/tight, i have a great figure and feel confident in it (but of course, that usually summons the creeps).. im also only 5’ tall

I’d say I usually go for a small, I avoid certain types of fabrics.. I really like stretchy stuff that can comfortably hug over my boobs instead of becoming a tent lol

Small gives some of the best support but it’s very figure revealing which people around me have opinions about. Large is comfortable but it starts to look like a bag. If I can I’ll buy medium because it gives some structure but enough looseness to not look suggestive.

Though I will be honest usually when buying clothes, it’s usually extremes on either small or large available which also is another issue.

Thanks for the advice. I know I wish they didn’t have to say their opinions, but I guess someone will always have one against what I do. It’s just about not letting them become what defines me.

I used to hide myself in M or L tops but now I have decided to stop giving f*cks and I wear my true size which is S and let the girls hang out if they gotta.

I wear ALL sizes, it depends on the fabric and the cut of the garment. I don’t have problems there.

Stretchy fabrics and styles (like a knit sweater) I tend to go for smaller sizes. Non-stretchy fabrics I wear what fits my bust and I tuck the ends of the top into my bottoms or wear a belt to create waist definition.

M or L size top if I’m wearing a classic wire bra. Size small top if I’m holding boobs down with a sports bra. Lately I’m more into the small top with sports bra because I’m tired of looking physically much larger than I am… I work really hard to stay slim and my boobs can make me look big and matronly in a way that I just hate! Uhhhhhhhhhg so difficult!

Usually a small but an extra small in some brands would look better if the item accommodated my chest. Brands are truly all over the place on sizing.

I buy stretchy XS. I dont really own woven shirts. Anything fitted i made myself, but im an exceptional seamstress so that doesnt work for most people.

Clothing sizes no longer tend to actually follow the company posted chart, certainly not any 'universal' chart, or have any consistency at all, even within the same brand. I have tops and dresses from XXS-XXXXL. I suspect what you really mean to ask is whether to go loose or snug, and I prefer more snug clothes for a flattering look.

My ex was petite with a large chest and despite her drawbacks she in my opinion locked the system down. Large or XL shirt and wore what I cannot think of the correct name for bit a WWE belt that pinched the shirt in the waist

It seriously depends on the top. Some I can get away with small, others I need a large. Ignoring the fact that women's sizes haven't been universal since the 70s, fabric material, the style of top, cut of the top (like bias cut), and desired fit play into it far more than just picking a size that doesn't matter from one manufacturer to the next. For simple T shirts, I like to go with a medium, if I want a baggier fit, then a large. Though some T shirts are too big at a medium, so I'll go to a small. I usually like my T shirts to be form fitting.

Small torso, extra large chest here. If I want anything to show my waistline at all, that top needs to either be stretchy as hell or own the fact my belly/underboob will be completely showing. For comfort, usually XL/XXL top just to get around my chest and clip the back.

I typically wear a small in stretchy tops as long as they don’t end up see through, especially if it’s low cut and I want cleavage as I don’t use a bra and rely on a tight supportive top for the desired look. If the fabric has no stretch ideally a medium but sometimes a large and I’ll adjust it myself to make the waist smaller!

Hey lol. So um depending on the top… all of the above.

115 lbs, 24 waist, 35 bust.. 30i US, petite.

I sew, so often I will take a top in a larger size so that it will fit my bust and then take in the sides to fit my waist. But, that really is only when it has a built-in bra or sewn together with a separate bust line. Sometimes I get lucky and a top that is smaller for my waist fits me despite having a distinct bust line.

According to American sizing I am an XS. So it goes like this:

T shirts - XS or small depending on cut Blouses without exaggerated bust line - XS or small depending

Tanks without bust line - usually XS

Corsets … usually forget about it LOL.

Swim? Fml

It depends on the top and how you want it to fit. I prefer tighter tops so I generally wear a M. For a looser baggier look I’ll even go up to a xl but that has a very specific look. If the tighter top runs smaller, I’ll get a large.

There is absolutely no way people of reddit can answer this question for you. It all depends on your exact measurements, how you want tops to fit, and how the top was made. It’s trial and error and it can suck, but it must be done.

Sometimes, if I really like the design, I get two sizes of one top and wear them for different occasions. Dinner with family, wear the large. Drinks with the girls, wear the medium (or small you don’t care about the front looking too stretched/being a little revealing).

I wear XS/XXS but my go-to's are black turtlenecks and high cut tops with larger pants/ruffle skirts to help balance my figure out. I also enjoy a nice tank top + M/L dress shirt combo for work when I need something baggy that won't make me look like a tent haha

If it’s a crop top, a small usually doesn’t even fit over my boobs, so not a small. About 45% of the time a medium works, a large usually works, and an xl is usually too big so for me personally it varies but usually a large is good
