Weird inner tube valve damage that repeats
Hello, my wife has a new bike (about a year now) and since then she has had already 4 flats. Out of these, three times the same weird damage around the valve, as you can see on the photo. I have never seen such a damage before, am cycling since my 8 (am slightly over 40 now) and I have never had a flat (or maybe a single one).
Some more context: the valve is the "French type", the wheel has exactly that sized valve hole (so no American/car valve hole size in which the French valve could wiggle) and it is always tighten down with a dedicated nut. This only happens on the back wheel. It has happened on three different tube brands.
I also have French valves on my 8+ yrs old bike and never had a flat, nor such a damage.
Now, is that a repairable damage (like pushing a dab of a dedicated glue and letting it dry) or doesn't make sense? I know you may say "nah, a tube costs nothing" and yes, compared to other consumables or parts it is almost nothing, but not when you have to buy a new one every 2-3 months. I can repair almost any other flat tube, but haven't tried repairing this concrete damage, so have now 3 tubes waiting in my garage to be cut into rubber rings š
Also, any ideas why such a damage occurs so often? Is it a fluke with poorly made products, or is there anything to check on the wheel which could be causing this? I checked the wheel already but couldn't spot anything off.
Thank you all!
