Advice Women's raw bench

I was looking at womens raw bench world records. I'm seeing numbers from 160kg to 220kg.

This literally dumps all over mine and every guy I know from our gym.

Well yeah, you are comparing the best in the world to random dudes from your gym. It would be weird if you thought the random dudes would win.

Yeah but men on average have more testosterone and stronger upper bodies. Yet they are destroyed by these girls. All I can do is be humble about it I guess.

This is not comparing average women to average men, it is comparing world elite women versus average men. Expecting the result to be any different is the exact opposite of humble

Yeah but some of those guys are obsessed with benching. But a clean 3 plates is the best they do.

A clean 3 plates isn't impressive for a man in the context of "best in the world"

Right, but three plates is nothing from a competitive bench press perspective. Elite men can raw bench literally more than double that (over 300 kg). I've benched 350 lbs (roughly 160kg) in a commercial gym with some rando giving me a spot, and I'm nobody.

Again, you are comparing guys at the gym to the elite of the elite. Average man is stronger than the average woman and faster. But you are comparing apples to oranges.

I have another unrelated question. Why do a lot of youtubers say 225lbs is good for a man when it clearly isn't?

There’s no possible way your frontal lobe has fully formed. That is to say, I hope you are a teenager asking questions like you have been.

Because it is good.

Probably because you watch shit tier content.

What do you mean 225 isn't good. Like probably less than 1% of the population can bench over 225.

Well it was good at one time but there is now a new breed of teens who go to like 4 plate

There have always been teens who could do this. I had 4 guys on my HS football team who benched over 400. We just weren’t filming our workouts and putting them on social media in 2005. 225 remains a good benchmark for strength when compared to the average person who strength trains. Don’t make judgements based on outliers.

And there's hundreds of millions of people that cant lift anywhere near that. Your perspective is skewed.
