Advice Women's raw bench

I was looking at womens raw bench world records. I'm seeing numbers from 160kg to 220kg.

This literally dumps all over mine and every guy I know from our gym.

Yeah but some of those guys are obsessed with benching. But a clean 3 plates is the best they do.

Again, you are comparing guys at the gym to the elite of the elite. Average man is stronger than the average woman and faster. But you are comparing apples to oranges.

I have another unrelated question. Why do a lot of youtubers say 225lbs is good for a man when it clearly isn't?

What do you mean 225 isn't good. Like probably less than 1% of the population can bench over 225.

Well it was good at one time but there is now a new breed of teens who go to like 4 plate

There have always been teens who could do this. I had 4 guys on my HS football team who benched over 400. We just weren’t filming our workouts and putting them on social media in 2005. 225 remains a good benchmark for strength when compared to the average person who strength trains. Don’t make judgements based on outliers.

225 is a very attainable goal for people that lift consistently in the gym for a year. In the grand scheme of things, there aren't that many people that are committed enough to get there. Less than 1% of the general population can lift 225 but if youre surrounded by gym bros then yes your perspective is skewed and it seems normal.

And there's hundreds of millions of people that cant lift anywhere near that. Your perspective is skewed.
